Bun Bo hue

We were very surprised by the quality of food at Pho House. Very authentic and broth for Bun Bo Hue was excellent. Pho broth was little light but very fragrant and tasty. Fried chicken wings were very fresh and moist. Service was as expected and prompt. Not many options in this part of state so Pho House was excellent find. Highly recommend!

Where do I begin if I ever go to any restaurant that serves can drinks I will not eat there this was my first time here I mean .... service was very slow seems that the waiter forgot about us food took a very long time we was the only black people there every time i ask for something they didnt have it like how we was about to leave they seem kinda racist to us like he didnt wanna serve us but when he sat down all other races he was more than eagerly to serve them we felt left out but thats ok i wont spend my money here ambience. Was very sucky an dark inside no windows that was a experience oh wait those chicken wings was terrible oh my gosh very meaty taste wise nope won't recommend getting the chicken noodles soup that's a nope to sweet for my taste but you get alot for your meal this place wasn't for me

First time experiencing this restaurant Food: the menu price is above average, offers a nice selection of food. The soup was okay, could have used more meat; it was tender and not salty. Service: the service was average Ambiance: casual

Stopped by on a Friday at 8pm and there was 1 group and 1 takeaway order before us. Prices range from $7-9 for sandwiches and appetizers to $14-22 for entrees and special items. This seems to be the average for downtown. Note that this area is a little run-down and the parking lot has a tall fence. You won't want to hang around after 9pm, when the restaurant closes. The inside is simply decorated with the typical padded synthetic chairs you see at many pho restaurants including the sauces, chopsticks, and spoons on the table. You first receive a plate of greens and items to add into your soup. Afterwards, the piping hot bowls of noodles arrive. The broth has a very light flavor -- in this case, either beef or a seafood flavor depending on your order. They also add some crispy onions for extra flavor. I loved the addition of chives in my soup. If you want extreme umami or shocking flavors, you'd have to add generously with the sauces on the table. Personally, I did enjoy the light broth and pig trotter even though I was expecting a deeper flavor and a large piece of pork. The shrimp and squid definitely provided a seafood flavor to the soo Overall, the food is good and filling. The price is a bit high, but on par with other restaurants. The food tasted fresh although the additional vegetables looked a little less so.

This is my go-to Pho spot. It's everything you need: great broth, great prices, great portions.

A fly... I'm so done

First to say, this review is long overdue...we found this hidden jam after moving from downtown…read moreMemphis to East Memphis. The search for yummy Vietnamese food stops here. Like others mentioned, the first time we were there, it was a wait to get our food, its well worth the wait for sure. I have not tasted that rich flavor of the soup broth for pho. Trust me, I had tasted lots of broth in my life. Over the years we probably tried the full list from the menu, brought friends there and everyone likes the food. Of course the dine-in option was pre-post COVID..... Things we tried in the past, pho, teriyaki chicken or steak w/fried rice, shrimp with lobster sauce, lemongrass with bbq pork or chicken or beef, wonton soup, wonton noodles, summer rolls, spring rolls, Chinese sausage, combination veggie soup, Vietnamese beef vermicelli, hot sour soup, broth to go etc. If you like spicy food that their home made hot sauce is a must try. Have I mentioned about their Chinese New Year's menu? That just another different beast. Will save it for another time once the dine in option is back. We are still getting to-go as curbside pickup since the dine-in option is still unknown. Please go support our local restaurants, and small businesses. Lotus is a great spot to enjoy authentic and delicious Vietnamese dishes. One thing I really…read moreappreciate is their special menu for Lunar New Year. They always put together festive dishes that make the occasion feel extra special. We ordered LNY specials this year, and everything was well-prepared and flavorful as always. The only downside is that they haven't allowed dine-in service since COVID, which is a bit of a bummer because it would be nice to enjoy the food fresh at the restaurant. Still, it's definitely worth ordering from if you're looking for quality Vietnamese food!

I came here with coworkers one day for lunch. The menu includes some more Americanized Asian dishes…read morefor those who aren't fond of authentic stuff. One of my coworkers got the Sweet and Sour Chicken and said it was the best he had ever had. The rest of us ordered more authentic dishes, such as pho. The table has lots of ingredients you can add to your pho to make it tastier. We asked and the waiter told us what everything was. I ended up adding hoisin, chili paste, and sesame oil I think. I really enjoyed all that I added so I'll definitely have to try and find out what it was so I can ask for it if I ever get anything to go from here. I really enjoyed the chicken fried rice I ordered for us to share. It was very good. The egg rolls were also delicious. I liked my pho but I really didn't like the chicken in the dish- it just didn't have much flavor to me. I'd be willing to try a different type of meat because the rest of it was still really good. Loved: - Appetizer: Cha Gio (Egg Rolls) Liked: - Fried Rice: Com Chiem Voi Ga (Chicken) - Pho Ga (Chicken)

Had to come back for another round of their delicious banh mi. The pho was decent, though not as…read moreflavorful as I remembered. The food overall is solid, which brought me back for a second time. But the restaurant itself feels very outdated and not the most comforting place to dine in. Service isn't exactly warm, and there doesn't seem to be much effort to improve or refresh the space. I get the whole "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality, but after visiting twice, I think I'd rather go somewhere else for pho if I'm looking to sit down and enjoy a cozier, more welcoming atmosphere. That said, I'm still giving it a solid 4 stars because the food is still solid, I'm not gonna take away from that. I just wish the condition and cleanliness of the restaurant matched the quality of what's coming out of the kitchen.
