My wife was not 100% crazy about the pho broth as she said that it tasted 1/2 + 1/2, have bone broth and half beef powder. That said they served plenty of fresh herbs - even sawtooth coulantro! We were in the area and was wanting Pho. To our surprise I found this place not far from where we were at and it had great reviews. We were greeted when we first walked in and they let you choose your table. The server came right away to take our drink order. When she returned we were ready to order. Of course we all ordered Pho. My little one had the steak, my husband had the dac biet, and I had the brisket. Broth had the depth that we love about pho. All greens and veggies are fresh and chilis are grown in house. The best Vietnamese restaurant in Memphis, hands down. They have a very wide selection on their menu. From Vietnamese traditional drinks down to the desserts, they have it! I love how when I'm ordering something on the menu, they're not out of it lol. I've been to other places where they would add things to the menu but would never have it when I'm trying to order so it makes me very happy that they are honest with their menu. Finally!!! A Vietnamese place that has pho and banh mi, plus legit native drinks! We had the chicken and shrimp pho, as well as a chicken banh mi. For dessert, we snuck out with taro and avocado smoothie. Their boba is jelly vice tapioca, but has a nice caramel/honey flavor to it. We enjoyed the food and will be back. Our only constructive criticism was that we had empty waters and our waitress didn't check in on us. This is a hidden gem. Great ambiance and decor with prompt service. The portions are ample and full of flavor. My friend ordered a traditional pho dish, but saw that the Vermicelli bowl that I got was so plentiful that he ordered the same dish and devoured it all before I finished mine. The food was delicious and authentic, some of the best Việt food I've had in the area on our annual road trip to visit family down south. I was really excited when I came in and saw all the lanterns and decor, it was a nice establishment with good atmosphere. Highly recommend the bánh xèo, phở (duh), and their chè ba/3 màu dessert! The crispy roll didn't come with nước mắm, rather a kind of thicker sweet-sour-tasting sauce, but was generally still good. The beef in the phở was also pretty tough to chew through, but the broth more than made up for it in my opinion. Unfortunately, the service was worse than subpar. I'm all for understanding if someone has an off-day and not letting that represent the establishment, but the server we had just left my party looking at each other kind of lost because we really tried to give good energy and were confused about the uninviting, terse, and at the end biting interactions. I have eaten here a few times. I typically order the chicken pho and sometimes their veggie spring rolls. It's obvious this restaurant is run by a family. They are usually friendly, but once you order you're typically on your own. Sometimes the front staff is managing all the dining tables and they are not able to stay attentive to you. We have been going to Pho 4 ever consistently for over 2 years. It has been one of our go to's for all this time. We literally always order the same thing. Tonight when our Green Papaya Salad came out, it was nothing like we were accustomed to. The flavor was not the same and it had more celery than papaya in it. My husband hates celery. Which from other previous and recent reviews ITS A PROBLEM THEY'RE NOT BOTHERING TO FIX. Wear hairnets for gods sake. Then I ordered meatball pho which the broth tasted old, not very fresh. But manageable. I asked for some white rice on the side and when they brought it out, that too was old and hard. Felt like I was chewing rocks. The only fresh thing was the vegetables for the pho. Everything else was stale, old, and had hair in it. The service was none existent. I had to flag the staff down anytime I needed something. Pho 4 Ever on Bonnie Lane in Cordova was nice enough to remake a dish that was too spicy for me today as a recent abdominal surgery patient. They explained that next time instead of just asking for "mild spice" to also ask that it be cooked in a different oil. (I didn't know their usual go-to is chili oil.) The original would have been great If my belly wasn't so off its usual game. The milder version was crispy tofu with lemongrass cooked in a different oil, and they used bell pepper instead of spicy peppers -- it was DELICIOUS. I just want to say thanks to them for great customer service when they could easily have shrugged me off. Devoted customer now! read more

It was my first time visiting ; we waited 15-30 minutes before waters or menus were even passed to us at our table. Just nasty looks from staff and them playing the game of "who's gonna serve them first?" Unfortunately my friend was very hyped to show me this place until we were munching on our food and found a HAIR entangled in the pho she had been eating !! i tried to overcome the rude attitude of the lady server by giving her the benefit of the doubt earlier before this incident but my friend explained that everytime she is rude even though she always tips well . But this time took the cake for my friend unfortunately. We ask the mean waiter to come over because we didn't want to cause a scene and she had an attitude when she came to the table to see the hair that we had pointed out and she took the bowl and went to the kitchen. Thankfully we had already taken a picture of the food because she took the bowl out of our eyesight to the kitchen to stir it up I guess, and when she returned, she put the bowl on another table, and she just kept waiting on other people until we flagged the one lady down who spoke english (the manager) so she comes over with the plate and asks so where's the hair ? (After the other mean lady already took it and stirred it up) I guess they thought we were stupid or something but here's the picture . Mind you we are black and I don't think they liked "US" being there based on the service and pissy attitude of the waiter . And to make matters worse, they didn't even offer another pho to go for my friend. (At that point she didn't even want it but it was just the principle of them not even offering that OR to take off the food off the ticket....)...I won't be back because that's crazy !! The hu tieu and banh canh are tasty as well. All the soups are flavorful and our go to joint on Sundays. A great meal. Just what I was hoping for. A hearty, hot bowl of pho on a rainy day. Everything seemed pretty authentic and well-prepared. The three color dessert was also really good. You could tell it was made pretty fresh. I'm not big into commenting on places' decor, but I like the decor of this place. Great experience! First day - literally!! This Vietnamese restaurant just opened and they are so delicious! I wish I could've ordered more but we will certainly be back again and again and again. They are located near the Jerry's sno-cones in Cordova. Very friendly staff and attentive too. We started off with a Thai tea, which was made fresh. Their Pork and Shrimp spring rolls were also made fresh. Their peanut sauce was delicious and so unique! We couldn't quite place what made it so different, but it was so good. Unfortunately we ate the spring rolls so quick that I forgot to snap a pic. Their Pho comes in 2 sizes, small and large. Although the price is just $1-$2 more than other places, their quality and quantity made up for it. We had the pho Thai and Pho Thai Nam Gan; the broth was amazing! Comes with all the fixins' and cilantro (my fav) but can be left out if requested. Their was sooo much deliciousness that we couldn't finish it all. Their menu has plenty to choose from both in food and beverages, and their Bahn Mi is not as pricy as other restaurants in town. We will have to try their Bahn Mi next time around! The place was very clean and had plenty of seating. Their restroom was very nice and clean too, since I know some people are critical about a restaurant's restroom. We tried this restaurant for the first time and it wasn't too bad. The rice combo was good. I don't recommend the veg Pho. The broth had no taste to it. It will as poorly done and no pho seasoning in it. Need to add some salt pepper sugar ginger and other pho seasoning. read more

Ate an early dinner and was seated quickly. My server was friendly and answered questions about the menu. The seafood Pho was good, and once I added my preferred sauces, very tasty. I did feel that the base broth could've used a bit more flavor, but understanding that there are a variety of recipes and palates, it was still solid. The restaurant itself is roomy, with ample seating, a nice stage area which was decorated for Christmas (I'm not sure if it is ever used for performance or not). The tables are attractive wood and the room is slightly darkened without being too dark to see. The booth where I sat shared a wall with the adjacent martial arts studio so there was some noise. The menu is robust with several noodle dishes. Rice dishes, non-Pho soups and appetizers. Fresh drinks are also available. That one star review has to be fake because this place was good. My husband had one of the plates and 2 different banh mi flavors. I had the Pho 4 Ever (combo meats) pho and one of the desserts in a cup with the beans, jellies, and condensed milk. We were satisfied with everything. The service (one waiter and receptionist that I assume is a owner) was great. The place is MUCH cleaner and visibly new compared to all the other Vietnamese places we've visited. Portions and prices were good compared to the others here. We will be coming back. Unsure of his name but he is bald and has his finger nails painted. We asked him a question and he walked off.
