First time trying this place. I did an online order and it said food will be ready in 30 mins. First impression of this place was oh it seems pretty clean. Not too bad. Service didn't seem to me slow. Staff was ok. I got the lunch special pepper steak, it wasn't bad! The only thing I didn't like about it is the fried rice. It's so obvious that they added food coloring to it. I don't think I like the idea of that. Also, the rice didn't really taste fresh either. I may or may not give it another try. read more

My wife and I have gotten take out from Asian Kitchen for a number of years now. My favorite by far though has got to be their Steamed Dumplings. Now wait, a very close second is their Chicken LoMein. They are both so good that sometimes I can't decide which I want. Of course the Chicken Fried Rice and Spring Rolls are great too. I am sure that I am depriving myself of more great dishes, I am going to have to try some of the other offerings as well. Service: Ordered to-go so service was not required. I only had to wait 5 minutes for my order to be ready. Food: Horrible. I ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken w/ fried rice. I am the type of person who hates throwing away food and hate it when people throw away all their food. And I love to take leftovers home. I unfortunately took a few bites and the rest went straight to the trash. It just had a bad smell to it and I had nausea right after eating a few bites. My disclaimer is that I've never actually been TO this restaurant, however, their delivery service is on point and single-handedly got me through lunch time while on bed rest during the end of my pregnancy last year. Let's be honest, they've gotten me through the first year of motherhood as well. You can order online and in 20ish minutes the delivery guy is at your door and your order is always correct. I understand this is a small place but I've had some of the best sushi in small places and this was just something they do to make money. The rice was not fully cooked, you couldn't call the salmon, salmon, because that would be a disgrace to the fish. The tuna was very poorly cut and old, it was dry in fact, and the shrimp wasn't deveined. For the cost we could have gone elsewhere and had much better. Don't try the sushi. read more

We love Asian food but this place disappointed. We walked in and they had a sign with the days special being Panang curry. It was explained as a basic Thai curry in a flavorful coconut broth. What we received was the spiciest thing we've ever attempted to eat and we love spicy food! I'm talking surface of the sun HOT! My daughter took it up there and told her she had one bite and it was so hot it took her breath away. The lady said well then u don't like Thai food, too bad! I then took it up there and told her my daughter had one bite and it was inedible. I took a bite to see if she was just being over sensitive and she wasn't! This stuff was red from all the peppers in it. She refused to give our money back because we had two bites, chopstick size bites. I told her there was no way we could eat this and she said the sign clearly says it's spicy, I walked to the sign and said no the sign says flavorful coconut broth. She continued to argue that it says spicy. Now, I'm really frustrated. I read it, out loud, to her and no where is the word Spicy. She finally said she would give me my money back but then refused to give me a full refund because my daughter had eaten a small corn out of it and I had eaten a slice of onion. So, if you want good Asian food, don't go here. Go down the road to Pho 64, they have amazing food! But if you want food served with a side of bad attitude and snark, this is your place. read more

We went from ordering 1-2 times a week to not having ordered in 5 months due to the horrible customer service and the length of time it takes to get the food. It should not take 2 or more hours for food to be delivered when the restaurant is 5 miles from our house. I ordered at 6:11 it is now 8:05. My card has been charged yet we have not received our food and no one answers the phone when I call. This was Asian Kitchens last chance. We will not be ordering again. Mediocre delivery Chinese. Maybe if was the chef on duty that night but the Crab Rangoon, Dumplings and even the Shrimp Lomain tasted of scorched cooking oil, a bit of a struggle to enjoy. The wings we ordered however where perfect and tasted fine. The bag had no utensils and really the three stars is due to the timeliness of delivery and the cordial delivery guy Matt. Don't get me wrong. If you have the craving at 8pm for Chinese this will do, just go with the wings. The sweet and sour was straight from a Sysco or US Foods bag and not all that great. Moved to Bartlett a couple of months ago and have been itching to try this place, since having good Chinese takeout close by is always a huge plus (it's been awhile since I've gotten to have any, because the place by our old house kept changing hands all the time, so whether or not the food was good or not had become like playing Russian roulette...only with soy sauce...and no Russians). FINALLY got to try this place today. We got chicken lo mein (my personal favorite go-to when I have a Chinese craving), spring rolls, and wonton soup. All were great. Each time I have ordered 3 to 4 menu items and the food is the best and freshest Asian food that I have found in Memphis by far. I previously liked this place because their delivery driver found my vacation rental with the wrong address. Today, after going way out of my way to pick up wings I was extremely dismayed by their total LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, and the cooks extremely poor attitude. I waited for more than 30 minutes for only one order of wings. Watching people after me get their orders. The cook actually threatened to serve me uncooked chicken wings because I asked him why after a 30 minute wait, where they were. This was the only item I ordered. Love this place! Always hot and fresh when delivered. Delivery takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes and order is always correct - no matter how big your order may be. I used to work next door and came here all the time. I transferred and haven't been here in awhile but they still remember me. To me that means alot. Haven't ever got anything bad in the menu. The only thing a dont care for is the fried rice. Fried rice is simple but tricky in my opinion. I have to drive a little out of the way from the house but the options by the house are terrible. First time there last night, and the place was hidden next to a Kroger. Looked like a nice little hole in the wall. You walk in and are greeted by a sweet lady who very quickly writes down and rings up your order. Food cooked very quickly, price was decent but not great. Then we ate it. Yeah, we won't be going back. The food was flavorless, in part because there wasn't any salt or butter on anything. Then the sesame chicken was mushy and the sauce was a little strange. Fried rice? It was yellow rice (unusual but ultimately helped bring down the dishes) and stringy bits of rubbery chicken. The fried pork roll wasn't bad and the spring rolls were pretty good, but I oils taste the grease used to cook them. Ultimately I don't recommend this place if you like flavor, but give it a shot, maybe you'll have a better experience read more

Really hoped for better. After reading some reviews, I was on the fence about trying the food, but gave it a shot as we were in the mood for some Chinese food and didn't feel like leaving the house. Positives: Delivery was quick. The crunchies for the egg drop soup were good. Not so positives: The dumplings were overcooked. The chicken was tough and didn't have much flavor. The fried rice was very bland. And somehow they made the egg drop soup taste bad which hurt because that's one of my go to dishes that I can usually enjoy even when other things aren't as great. Perhaps you'll find better luck with them, but I won't be making a second order. read more
