Womp, womp, womp... It's been 6 months since I last dined here, and OMG WTF?! I understand inflation, covid, trying to keep your business afloat, blah blah blah...but sweet baby Jesus, the prices here have gone up significantly!! A "regular" size bowl of pho stole $14.50 from me!! I paid $4.25 less in December of 2021... that is an insane price hike if you ask me! I came in for lunch yesterday because I thought I was meeting up with a Yelp buddy, but that fell through. I was in the area so I figured why not hit up my #1 spot for pho? After I paid my bill, I realized I should have went elsewhere. =/ I searched around my area before writing this review to see if all the other pho places cost this much. NOPE. Pretty much everywhere I looked, the pricing is around $10-$12! And the higher end of those prices at some places is an "XL size" bowl. I am sad to see the delicious Vietnamese Mini Savory Pancakes (Bánh Khot) also went up in price. =( Those things may be the only reason I will return here because they are DAMN GOOD! There are other places closer to me, if not the same distance as Pho Ha #1. I guess I'm gonna have to explore in the coming months to find a new pho spot. I have never had bad service here, and the chick with the lashes is always cool. She served me the last two times. I am just not willing to pay almost $40 for a meal for only myself after tax and tip! If there was an alcoholic drink involved, I'd be down, but water?! Nahhhh fam, you can do better, trust!! Parking here is nuts too, especially during the lunch rush and sometimes on weekends. I have to remind myself to drive my lil putt putt instead of my huge SUV since the stalls are somewhat narrow. It's a huge lot shared with the neighboring UFC Gym and other businesses. Honestly some of the best Pho I've ever had! The big bowl had so many noodles, and the steak was excellent. Good prices, large portions, and a very friendly staff, and our food came out of the kitchen very quickly, even though they were busy. I liked the large roomy booths as well, very comfortable! I don't eat here anymore. It's been years. I stopped going when they had new workers, owners, cooks. They used to have such good food and variety but now they have nothing I want to eat. They have other locations and theyre better. They never seem to have bun bo hue, certain meat dishes and the servers that work there take my order and doesn't write it down. That's fine and all if you have a great memory, but they are always getting my order wrong and forgetting my sauce. I always ask for no onions in any dish, pho or salad, and there is ALWAYS onions in it. They 100/100 get my order wrong. One time I ordered banh khot, and it came out burnt. It was charcoal burnt! Anyways the server felt no qualms about serving that to me. My party was so angry that he pulled the server aside and said "look at this. How do you feel serving something inedible and I have to pay for it?" The server did feel bad, but if he wasn't called out, he would have served us burnt food. And yes, he knew it was burnt. It's laziness. From that day on, I just stopped coming here. Bring back the old food and the past workers, maybe even the guy that used to sit in the front bench smoking. read more

Ordered 4 large bowls of Pho to go and it was fantastic! They did not skimp on meat or fresh veggies. Normally you'll see a little bit of veggies but Pho Ha provided everything that we needed and packed the broth and noodles separately. The veggies were fresh and they gave me extra jalapeños as requested. I was a bit leery of getting it to go but we were all pleasantly surprised. The broth was flavorful as well. I heard good things about this place without even checking Yelp reviews. Based on that we decided to try this restaurant since we like Pho and had it at several other restaurants. Unfortunately, the overall low rating for this establishment matched my experience. The only thing that I can say about the starter is that the spring rolls were super oily. The vermicelli pho with bbq meatballs wasn't serve the way I had it served before (in a bowl). This dish was served on a flat plate with three big leaves of lettuce and some carrots. The meatballs looked like fried sausage cut in half. I couldn't mix the ingredients together. Sadly our main concern was cleanliness. There was some bits of food on the chairs from the previous guests, the silverware (forks) were stocked in a box on the table where anyone could touch them before and leave them there! Some service staff wore masks and some didn't. I don't think this is good idea in the current pandemic climate. The toilets were dirty which we discovered just before leaving, otherwise we wouldn't have ordered any food. I read good and bad reviews so could tell that some guests had good experience. First off, this is the best Phó place I've found around Temecula. If I was rating this place on that alone, it'd probably be 4.6 stars, but it's a 3.8 after trying other stuff. I get #11, no cilantro, no onions, broccoli only, on the side. They usually add just a bit too many noodles, which is obviously better than not enough, but I take some out so my broth doesn't get absorbed into the noodles. The meat is nice and rare when it arrives in the boiling broth, separation cooks it perfectly. Flavorful and definitely not skimpy, either. The Bahn Zero (Xeo) was really bad, unfortunately. I'm really bummed they didn't offer to discount or anything after letting them know about the consistency, too thick of batter, them finding little to no meat or shrimp in it, etc. Hot tea was exactly what I'd look for in hot tea. Will definitely come back for Phó, but may never try anything else new again, which is fine. read more

This place is across the street from me and I couldn't be happier. Growing up in Orange County the Pho is plentiful and good most places you go. Pretty much everywhere. After moving to Temecula my goal was to find Pho like I could get in Orange County. I thought my search would be fruitless, there aren't many let me tell you. However Pho Ha is just what I was looking for! A small little Pho place situated near Target, the inside is cute and quaint. Plenty of tables and the AC is blasting always, so summer time doesn't feel like summer while you're eating delicious hot pho! The service is always 5 stars and the staff is friendly and efficient! Now on to the part we all love, the Pho. The broth is so rich and tasty, you can tell there is a lot of love put into it, a lot of soul. With or without sriracha and hoisin, it's absolutely spectacular! The toppings are always fresh and plentiful! Their fat brisket is to die for! Egg rolls are always on point too! Also grab a Thai tea while you're at it, because they have one of the best I've tasted in this area, it's just right! Feeling under the weather? Grab Pho! This is my go to when I'm not feeling well. This place is very good. I ordered an oxtail pho and it didn't disappoint. Lots of meat, noodles, broth, beansprouts, mint leaves, and sauces on the side. The Thai tea is also very good, it's very authentic and not many places makes it like Pho Ha and Thai Orchid. Both places are up to par when it comes down to authenticity. 2 nights later we're back and this time, we dined in. The service is very good, fast and everyone is smiling. Again I got the Ox Tail noodle soup. Very very very good. My lady got the seafood pho and it was also very good. Worth revisiting. We also got the spring rolls. Very refreshing and the dipping sauce is very good. The place is clean, dedicated cleaner doing the tables. They're open til 9:30pm. Lots of people with good diversity having late dinner. Came to enjoy a nice big bowl of Pho today. For a hot day the restaurant was pretty busy. As we entered we were greeted immediately and waited to be seated at a booth since they were all taken. We placed our orders of Vegetable spring rolls and two large sized Vegetable Pho. The first bite of the springs rolls we found the wrap its self was a bit thick but the ingredients inside were fresh. The vegetable pho we found the sesame oil a bit overwhelming as it covered the taste of everything else. The service was great but the pho was okay! This place was very disappointing. Pho Ha is a chain that's been around for decades with one of my favorites in San Jose and Pomona (eat there and you won't be disappointed). By reputation, Pho Ha is very authentic but this particular day it went wrong. Owners of this franchise really need to go back on their service and chef training. It gives the other Pho Ha a bad name. We left Palm Springs to head south and wanted pho. The next closest Pho heading South was Temecula. This was Thanksgiving weekend and combined with CoVId restrictions, this plaza was very dead. Pho Ha had six tables for outdoor dining on their sidewalk. Three on each side, five of them seat 4 and one seated two. The first annoying incident was that we went inside and stood halfway between the door and register due to social distancing. There were others in there and at the time we thought they were customers but they were workers! No uniform so we couldn't tell. Then they didn't acknowledge us! At least say, "we will be right with you". So we made a comment out loud like do we just stand here? A guy walks passed and said you order at the front then find a seat outside. We thought he was a customer leaving but that guy happened to work here! So we finally placed our order, no apologies from the counter at all. My mother was already seated outside. We got 3 pho's (seafood, dac biet, and rare streak) and banh khot which is Vietnamese savory mini pancake. The seafood pho was not worth serving. One of the imitation crab was still frozen. Which means the fish balls, meat balls, shrimp probably all were frozen prior. The broth tasted weird and at first, I couldn't figure it out. It was like soupy. I got the rare steak and normally I love carbs and would eat noodles and save meat for last. This time the broth and noodles was so disgusting that I just ate the meat. I still couldn't shake that smell and taste from the broth. Later, I figured it out, it's not the broth, it's the noodles that was over cooked and it's like they didn't rinse off the extra starch and just served it like that so it had a funky thick smell to it. My mom and I can't stand to waste food and we thought maybe taking it home and add some spice would be easier to chow down. So we asked for take out containers. My mom had the seafood and ended up tossing the noodles and keeping the seafood to make a new meal at home. I had the rare steak and when I took it home to heat up, It was worse so I had to throw it away. On the flip side, they give a lot of noodles. So that take home portion could have been divided up into two meals. The only item that turned out delicious was the banh khot. We thought they forgot about it because it should be an appetizer but it came out after we boxed our pho. Banh khot was freshly made, the batter had to be mixed and fried. It came out crispy on the outside and glutinous chewy in the center with the friend shrimp on top and had tons of flavors when wrapped in lettuce and dipped with fish sauce. I make a one hour drive to enjoy a to-go meal from this restaurant. If that doesn't show how amazing this place is, not sure what else I can write to express how amazing their food is. I always order the onion beef vermicelli noodles and an order of egg rolls. The vermicelli comes with a bunch of fresh herbs, peanuts and generous side of fish sauce. Just writing about this place makes my mouth salivate. Also very generous portions! The fresh rolls are also amazing! Love the use of fresh mint and basil in their offerings! Service: 5 Food: 3.5 I was surprised to find a Vietnamese Pho restaurant in Temecula when browsing through Yelp to see what was around my hotel. Growing up Vietnamese, there are a few dishes that I still crave and eat regularly - Pho is one of them. Last night I wanted to give Pho Ha a try to see how good Pho in Temecula is. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the restaurant to see Vietnamese workers speaking Vietnamese and English. This set the level of expectation for the food to come. The decor is reminiscent of a typical Vietnamese Pho restaurant. I ordered my usual when eat this: Pho Gan Sach (Pho with tendon & tripe), with a side of Nuoc Beo (fatty soup). My partner ordered one of his favorites, their Hu Tieu Bo Kho (beef stew with rice noodles). And for appetizer, we ordered their Cha Gio. Let start with the Cha Gio - they're are nicely fried and the filling had the right taste, however the texture was weird. Something in the filling was chopped or processed to much that it was mushy, which made it odd to eat. My Pho broth had right aroma, but was slightly bland. Even my Nuoc Beo didn't help. The amount of tendon and trip was lacking, as if they ran out and that was all they could find for my bowl. The Hu Tieu Bo Kho was not too bad, however a bit too sweet. The prices were quite steep for a traditional Vietnamese Pho place. I mean $10.75 for 4 egg rolls and $14.50 for a regular size bowl of Pho is significantly more than any non-fusion/American owned place serving these items. This combined with the dishes we had was a bit of a let down. The service was fantastic though, but at the end of the day, the mediocre food is what we will remember about this restaurant. I had a conversation with our server about the Vietnamese community in Temecula (or lack thereof) and that probably contributes to the quality level of the food served. But I guess it's better to have a Pho restaurant here than to not have one at all...maybe. read more

We picked up a large family meal to go and everything was correct and packed really well! The food was also very tasty and fresh. I had the vegetarian fried rice which was so delicious! The broccoli was diced finely and there were no obnoxiously large stalks like other places tend to do. Also there were some very tasty mushrooms thrown into the mix that were very flavorful and elevated this rice to something special. Pho Ha Number One indeed. I'm writing this review based on the food cause I feel like any busy popular pho place isn't going to make you feel like you're at fine dining (bc you're not). Some waiters seemed more friendly with certain customers (maybe regulars?) but at least the young woman who works there came around the restaurant and asked every table if we were okay. Back to the food--my rare steak pho is a 5/5. Perfect broth, not salty and full of flavor, and the meat was extremely tender. It melted in my mouth almost. And they don't cheap out on the meat portion. We also ordered the shrimp spring rolls, Thai tea, and Vietnamese coffee (their black espresso with condensed milk which is good for people who love their espresso). The small/regular is currently $11 and the large is $11.75. You pay up at the cashier station when you're done. We came here coming up from San Diego zoo and I'm glad we did. It started to get busy around 6 and there's a lot of people who order takeout. A busy restaurant isn't a good excuse for bad service and lack of attention to food details. Service was slow, I think they forgot about us and took other peoples orders who sat after us... after cleaning our necks and waving them down, they were out of one item we wanted to order, but we placed it in for a pho, mini shrimp pancakes, and coconut escargots; I love a Viet restaurant that doesn't shy away from "weird" dishes like this. Pho: large size was a generous bowl with super hot broth (yum!) but the side garnish was lacking. Mini pancakes: uhhh where is the fish sauce?! The plate was brought out without the usual dipping nuoc Cham sauce so I was like... what is going on here? No meal is complete without fish sauce! Coconut escargots: I felt like this was a catfish dish because it was a bait and switch, the escargots were so tiny that it was all shells and sauce! I was expecting medium or big fatty ones but these were an inch. Don't get me wrong, the coconut and basil sauce was delicious but there were zero meat inside of those shells. I dugged and dugged with a toothpick and sucked the air out my lungs for 15 minutes and only found 2 snails. Womps. Should've ordered a side of rice to eat the sauce with though. Overall, the food was good and I may come back but I wouldn't order the escargots dish again until they're in season. read more
