First time trying this place and WOW what a surprising new gem! Food is delicious, authentic and great portions. We wanted to try a few dishes first before diving in deep, lol. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad woon sen, Kao piek sen and the beef jerky. Everything was on point and we are definitely coming back. I hope they do well cause we need a new Asian restaurant that is like home cooking! Definitely going to try the Pho, larb and Ka poon salad next time. Pho Lonny. What a great find! A Thai, Vietnamese, Laotian fusion restaurant recommended by a Thai associate, and I had to visit and see what all the fuss is about! Dropped by yesterday around 4 pm, and the place was just beginning to fill with patrons, and the atmosphere was very chill and comforting as music played quietly in the background. Being that I normally order takeout on Friday afternoon, I decided to dine in and make it a dinner date. We were greeted and welcomed by View, a charming young lady with a perpetual smile and warm demeanor. She could not help giggling as I viewed the menu and attempted to make a decision. Promptly I decided on the Pad Thai, and the young lady suggested we try the BiG Bone Pho, which we promptly agreed. Moments later, our two selections arrived at our table, steaming hot and looking extremely delicious. As we swapped the bowl and plates back and forth, we agreed that the food was really tasty, and the huge selection of condiments on the table added to our enjoyment, being able to adjust the flavor profile and the level of spice. This order from Pho Lonny was with Grubhub and came at a premium cost. We ordered shrimp Spring Rolls, Thai Beef Jerky, Pho Ga and Chow Mein with ground pork. Our order arrived late because Pho Lonny missed the promised time to have it done. As for the food: the spring rolls were ok but we only received a thimble size of peanut sauce. Hardly enough for 1/2 roll let alone 4 half rolls. The Thai Beef Jerky tasted like a sour beef stick. My wife took 1 bite and was disgusted. Either we got a bad batch or previous reviewers settle for spoiled beef sticks. The Pho Ga was fine but you definitely get cheated on the delivery portion. We paid 22.09 for a small portion of Pho. The Chow Mein was nothing special. I ordered spice level 3 but there was no spice in this dish. It was alright but nothing memorable. I had high hopes for this place but unfortunately they let me down. We order delivery from Pho restaurants a lot and this for the price we paid ranks towards the bottom. Not busy. Got beef Pad Thai but the beef was thick and chewy couldn't finish it. Husband got drunken noodles. They must have used the same beef because it was hard and chewy. We ordered 3 dishes and we were super satisfied by all of them! Tofu Pad Thai - Cooked to perfection. Perfect balance of flavors, not too salty and not too overly sweet. Tofu was nicely fried. Would get again! Thai Papaya Salad - We asked for no spicy. It was very lime-y which i love. They also have Laos style papaya salad which is a different flavor! Also, would get this again. I usually get papaya salad as the "healthy" dish. Khao Peik Sen - First time trying, very comforting noodle dish. The broth is thicker and the noodles are similar to udon but softer. The chicken in this is also not dry. Would get again when I'm craving something that soothes my tummy. Everything was a 10/10 to me. They did not disappoint. Portions were also very good. Me and my husband went here for lunch. We came on the day before they would close for a few days because they were going to be having new owners. So the inside was not 100% complete but it was still very nice looking , and very clean !! I had the rare steak pho and my husband had the chicken pho , we also ordered some egg rolls. The service was quick !! We sat down , ordered our food and it came out right away. Now let me tell you this pho is sooo damn good. I've had pho at other places before. But THIS pho has such good flavor. I usually have to dress my pho up with a lot of dressings. I didn't have to do that here!! The egg rolls were also very delicious. For drinks I had a water and my husband had a coke. We will be back when they reopen in a few days. The interior is clean and looks like a typical pho place - no frills - just good food. The service was a little slow. We were not greeted when we walked in so we just seated ourselves. It took 10 minutes before we had our order taken, 10 more minutes before water was served, and 10 more minutes before some entrees came out. The hostess/waitress seemed to be running the show so I can see why they were backed up. Nevertheless, the food was delicious! The jerky and jeow were so yummy. I ordered sticky rice on the side. My son said it was the best jerky ever. The vermicelli bowl with egg rolls and pork was delicious but the egg rolls could use a little more salt. The drunken noodle dish with chicken was really good. The shrimp rolls were big and tightly wrapped. The shrimp was beautifully presented. The rolls could use some pork. The peanut sauce that accompanied it is not the typical sauce you would get. It had a curry flavor, which was good but I prefer the original peanut sauce with hoisin and Siracha. Overall, great food and ambience. They could use more help.
