I've been coming here for years, and while the taste is still great, I can't ignore that the portions have noticeably shrunk over time. I ordered the pork chop with rice and a side of soup--flavors were solid, no complaints there. Service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance had that classic, no-frills pho shop feel, just like many others in Edmonton. Street parking available. Came with coworkers for our lunch break. Only 20% full Friday at 12PM but my 1PM 40% full. Waitress got really busy and service was really bad. No refill of water, no ordering a dessert as we ran out of time and had to get back to site. I ordered #46 Color Bowl. All the meats were spot on, the pork patty was super weird looking but tasted soo amazing. Waitress reported she makes them personally when she was giving us our bills. Very average pho. Barely any meat in the "special" bowl for the price $18.00. Disappointed

I needed supper tonight but knew I may or may not have the physical energy to eat much. So I wanted to have something that's good for leftovers. I was happy uber eats dropped it off in less time quoted. Food was warm but oddly didn't have much of an aroma to something that has various types of meat on it. Nothing overly impressive in taste of the four colours vermicelli bowl but decent portion size. Was a little confused about dried onions mixed with the peanuts on top. Usually other pho restaurants include peanuts on the side with the delivery (some even have the question about allergies/ask if you want to include peanuts). So with peanuts mixed together with dried onions, I ended up having to scrape both off to the side. As neither are great when they sit in the fridge with leftovers. Also the pork patties looked like fried tofu. To be safe, I removed them just in case that was the situation. Spring rolls decent size. The rice was exactly what my stomach needed to have for restart food before trying anything else. Will I order from here again? Probably not unless I happen to be at the location itself. I just love a bowl of beef satay on a cold blizzardy day. This was the closest place to where we were working today. It's a really nice place. Really big and clean. We were greeted by a very sweet and kind lady and she took our orders right away. She knew the menu very well. I ordered beef satay my friend had the green onion cakes ($5) and salad rolls. I love a thick peanut sauce for my salad rolls and that's exactly how they make theirs. The chicken salad rolls had some crunchy pieces of fried rice paper in them which was a really nice touch!! The green onion cakes were fantastic. My beef satay was superb. So simple and so flavourful. I couldn't eat it all so I had to take it home. Our wonderful server let me know that the meat may not be as tender when I reheat it and the noodles will absorb some liquid so it won't be as fresh as here. I loved her added touch. She was just fantastic. Probably some of the best service I have had at a restaurant in a really long time. We will definitely be back. Also loved that the booths had USB adapters and plug ins. I found myself unexpectedly in the Griesbach area over lunch and that is how I discovered Pho Ever. The spacious restaurant was rather empty considering it was the heart of the lunch hour. An owner explained that there are not a lot of businesses in the area, and it tends to be slow even though they have been there for about a year and a half. The menu has everything you would expect at a Vietnamese noodle house, as well as some interesting vegetarian and meat dishes. I went with a tofu and spring roll vermicelli bowl, with a green onion cake. The latter was excellent - not too greasy and full of onion flavour. The vermicelli bowl had a generous portion of noodles topped with vegetarian spring rolls and fried tofu. My friend had a vermicelli bowl with grilled beef and he said the meat tasted great. Service was very friendly and we were asked if we understood the menu items or had tried similar things before. Prices seemed a little higher than elsewhere (by maybe a dollar or two) but I figured it was because the restaurant is located in a new(ish) part of the city. And if I am back, I will visit Pho Ever again. read more

Sautéed shrimps in spicy curry coconut milk!! Yes, that's what I ordered and I haven't been able to order something different. It is so delicious, so very well seasoned! Usually I get also an order of coconut rice. This restaurant is bright and with a nice atmosphere, comfy and with a good layout. It's great for big gatherings or just for a nice lunch. Dinne in or take out both options are available! Parking could be a bit tricky if you are here around pick hours but there is always a place for your vehicle. read more

Wow finally a Great Pho place on my side of town! 5 mins away from where I live, I'm pretty happy to have Pho Ever open up. I didn't know about this place until my sister had me come in with her one afternoon. Being that my sister is a vegetarian there's not an abundant amount of vegetarian Pho places around the city (I could probably think of 2 good ones on the top of my head). I LOVE Pho! This restaurant not only has great tasting Pho but it has a clean taste to it. I can't really explain this but lets just say it taste like it hasn't been brewing for days (if you know what I mean). So our usual order is tofu salad rolls and I get a Pho, my sister gets her tofu noodle bowl. O and Vietnamese iced coffee. The interior is spacious, clean, and modern. The staff on weekdays are very friendly and helpful, she actually remembers our order each time we come in. I love how they are very cautious with my severe peanut allergy. I highly recommend coming in and trying this place out. I haven't tried a lot from the menu but I love my usual Pho and tofu salad rolls. You don't need to go to an underground seedy restaurant to have great Pho ;) Plus I only come here during the weekdays when it's less busy and our server already knows who we are and our usual order. read more

It was nice to finally have a Vietnamese restaurant open in our area for those times when I'm really craving a vermicelli bowl and want it quick. Pho Ever is both like and unlike other Vietnamese restaurants in the city. The food tastes relatively the same to everywhere else we go, but the decor and ambience is much nicer. The menu is the same as other pho restaurants, so you're not getting a huge choice to pick from. I can say that the food here is honestly really good. They have the best green onion cakes I've had, and their vermicelli bowls are delicious. I don't know what they do differently with their marinade, but it's so good! The reason I'm only giving it 3 stars ia because the service here isn't always the best. You could sit for 10-15 minutes waiting for someone to come and take your order. When I first came in, I ordered a drink from the bar menu that showed up the same time as my food. To me, that's not very good service as I should have had my drink long before that. I will likely keep coming here because it's close to home, but likely just to place a takeout order. read more

Pho in the area of Griesbach and Castledowns, a fairly new establishment. The decor is rustic, warm browns and earth tones. Large light bulbs hanging from the ceilings and a large black and white painting on the wall. Not a typical Pho restaurant, but who wants to be the same as the rest? European decor serving Asian food, why not :) First, I love the cleanliness of the restaurant. Who says Asian food has to be served in a dark, underground basement to have authenticity? I feel safe knowing the restaurant takes pride in it's cleanliness, a sign of good things to come. The food is fresh and of good quality. Good portions with reasonable pricing. I'm vegetarian and am grateful they cater to my dietary needs. They also have the traditional Vietnamese pho and noodle dishes (with meat) that friends I ate with said they very much enjoyed . The service is wonderful and you're always greeted with a smile. Usually with this young lady who remembers my face ( yes, I have already gone there more than once ). You can eat alone in the restaurant, not feeling self conscious, or with a group of friends or do take out if you want. I prefer dining in because of the lovely food presentation. With take out you have to assemble the pho (if ordered) at home (sadly,not the same). Parking can be a hassle because of other food establishments around the area but the walk would not be too far if by chance needing to park a bit away. Overall, a great find of a restaurant :) I have tried other pho restaurants around the area and do not like at all, this place is a thumbs up! For simple, not to complicated Vietnamese food . I came in with my five girls for a light supper before we went off to help a family friend with some service. My kids range in ages from mid teen to young children. They are not big eaters and we were a little short on time so we ordered a few dishes to share. That's when the problem arose. The server was confused how we could order a bowl of pho, a two-colour bowl and a green onion cake for 6 people. I said that is all we need and asked for I some small bowls so we could share. It took a full minute for the server to talk through the situation and understand that is all we really wanted. She tried to explain that we needed more. When I again explained that is all we wanted, she still looked confused (and a little annoyed) but she took the order all the same. Sadly, the food was lacklustre. The green onion cake was serviceable but was missing the fluffy/crispy combination of a quality green onion cake. The pho was flavourless if not on the bitter side with very little noodles for the price paid. The beef almost tasted like roast beef as it crumbled down in the broth. They also minced the onion so if you typically remove the onion from the bowl this is not the place for you. The vermicelli bowl was the best of the bunch but nothing specific to share. It was what you expect from a two-colour grilled pork and spring roll bowl. My kids were happy with it all but I wasn't. I've had better and would rather spend the same money for more noddles & better flavour elsewhere. When I went to pay, it turns out the server wasn't done with our earlier conversation. She told me that she had NEVER seen anyone order so little before. I explained that I know my children and what we needed. Some of them don't eat much and what we ordered was enough. She said she had seen children smaller than mine eat entire bowls of pho. In the nicest way possible I said that was great but those are not my kids. This continued all the way until the receipt was in my hand. Based on this weird experience, I could easily give this place only one star but you never know what led to the other side of a conversation. Mediocre Pho restaurant trying too hard to be something that it's not. Decor is that of a higher end establishment but everything is profoundly lower class. Dirty tables awaited us when we arrived around 730pm on a Sunday night (9pm closing time). Staff were disorganized and hastily told us to wait while they cleared a dirty table for us; there's no seating in the waiting area so we stood at the entrance counter & out one of the double doors. After a couple minutes our group was seated at a wet table fresh with a layer of chemical spray. The menus were soggy with no paper towels were in sight (they are hidden behind the cashier counter and in the kitchen. After looking through the menus and deciding the orders, there was another 3 minute wait until one of us waved down a waitress to take the orders. The food arrived fairly quickly but that is the only positive. There is no complimentary tea ($3 a pot, no free refills) which is very strange for Vietemese restaurants. Portions are profoundly smaller than traditional pho restuarants, condiments such as sriracha, hosin sauce & ect are non-existent until we flagged down another staff member and requested them. Immediately they pulled it off a dirty table and plopped it down... Overall the food was very mediocre, the pho broth was bland and lacked thedeep rich beef flavor I expected upon hearing its run by a Viets. On the #22 pho special, the few beef slices were paper thin; about 1/2 to a 1/3 the thickness of other pho restuarants and there were only 1 or 2 pieces of tripe and tendon. On the second order the bowl was dirty (food spillage in plating) and was brought out dirty without any attempt to wipe it off. Bean sprouts, basil and a wedge of line were provided but there was no red chili or hot oil. During our visit never once did any of the wait staff check up on us and ask how everything was going, refill our cups or bring out additional napkins ect. Service was very poor start to finish. After finishing the meal, we waited for the wait staff to bring over bills and got nothing till we all got up and went to the register. Don't bother bringing the whopping 10% Grand Opening Promo coupon as the sneaky fine print weaselly states only valid for one order despite the header saying "10% off your total". Extreme cheapness! Clean, friendly, good selection of the usual fare. We both shared a green onion cake and had the satay beef soup. The green onion cake was a little greasy but tasted great, I was a little surprised that the order only came with one but no big deal. Young Waitress seemed very inexperienced ,forgot our green onion cake and when we got up to pay she was not as attentive and made me wait and when I said I would pay cash and held it out in front of me she still handed the debit machine to me and I had to repeat I'm paying cash. In my opinion, a good pork chop on rice dish should leave you well stuffed, I'm only 140lbs and was still hungry after that meal (felt more like rations). My family and I ate here once when it first opened and we never went back again. I couldn't remember why until today. Decided to give PhoEver another try since it is literally 5 mins from our house. Again, I was completely underwhelmed by their food. I had their satay chicken vermicelli bowl. It is supposed to be one of their most popular items, although I'm not sure why. It was a completely one dimensional dish... The only flavour? Spicy. It didn't taste anything like the satay you get at other Vietnamese restaurants. My dish was only lukewarm which is weird considering I live 5 mins away and arrived before my pickup time. I also had their "Crunchy, sweet, sour, and spicy" chicken wings. They were far from crunchy, hence the quotation marks. Do yourself a favour and drive 10 mins to Pho Huan Pasteur or Co Do Hue. read more

I tried this place thru Uber Eats tonight & was very impressed at the entire experience. I placed the order and received it within 35/40 minutes; the food was hot & fresh. I purchased the shrimp salad roll with peanut sauce; ginger beef and honey chicken with a side of white rice. All in with tip $45. Now for one person that steep but I'll cut that into a few meals for sure. What I'm really impressed with is the quality of the meat. At first I was not happy at the sight of the food level but the quality makes up for it. The amount of food I received would feed three adults no leftovers & not overly generous. The honey chicken has a semi sweet sauce; ginger beef isn't spicy enough in my books but the flavour is enjoyable; the salad roll was fresh, all anyone would hope for in a salad roll. I will definitely order from here again. I also like the delivery cartons for the meat, the lids were missing the corners for steam to escape! read more

I am so happy to have this amazing treasure of a restaurant within walking distance to my house. Pho is all about the broth, and I can assure you that this broth is delicious. I also tried the wings and coconut shrimp rice. All were scrumptious. The staff and ambiance are beautiful and refined. It is a family business. They are located in Griesbach next to Poppeys fried chicken. This is a much healthier and relaxing choice. Wonderful music, friendly smiling staff and delicious quality food. I was suprised when I found this restaurant when I was giving up on Vietnamese food in Edmonton. I am from San Jose, California but this pho is much better than the ones in SJ. It was the kind of pho I was looking for (I grew up in Vietnam and I'm quite picky about pho.) The broth is flavorful from beef bones. LOVE IT! I came there everyday after I found out during my trip. I made sure I ate their pho again before my flight back to the US. That's how good it was. Rice dish, pho, eggrolls, soda lemonade were excellent everytime I ate. I finished everything I ordered. To my surprise, their service is also as good as their food :). This is the kind of food and service I was looking for. I hope they will keep it up. read more

I had heard Pho Ever was a a new find for pho soup and vermicelli bowls. My colleague and I tried it for lunch and were really pleased with the experience. I'm an admitted phoa fanatic and have made it at home on occasion, so I can be a tough critic. So what makes for a great eatery experience? Service. Ambience. Portion size. Cleanliness. Variety. And taste, taste, taste. Of course. Pho Ever scored high on all counts. We were greeted by a lovely young lady with a huge smile that was made us feel like we were genuinely welcomed there. I admit to being a bit surprised that our server wasn't Asian as I heard this was a family restaurant-but she soon won us over with her warmth, professionalism, and attentive service. The restaurant was exceptionally clean even for its newness, although it could use a bit of warmness with wall paintings and such. Our Server knew the menu thoroughly, was enthusiastic, and readily provided affirming comments on our choices. Speaking of the menu, it was easy to read offering a large number of pho soups, vermicelli bowls, appetizers, and special dishes. Each carried a good explanation of what they featured, clearly appreciated by a Caucasian guy who has trouble pronouncing linoleum! So let's get to the good part - the food. I love Vietnamese sweet coffee, they offered the hot and iced version, not too sweet, medium bold coffee and just the right amount of condensed milk. I then started off with an order the spring rolls, slightly oiler than I like but came with a light and tasty dipping sauce. For the main I choose a vermicelli bowl and my buddy ordered a meat pho. His came in a huge bowl and mine in a good sized bowl as well. Both had a generous portion of fresh, crisp vegetables and more meat than I've ever seen in a bowl. I mean a ton of of pork, and spring roll bits. Wow, was it good and I took home half. What a great little find in Griesbach. Highly recommended. I'll be back. The food isn't bad. They're just really small portions. I went with my boyfriend and we got our own bowls of pho and an order of green onion cakes. We liked the flavour but it isn't very strong. We got an order of green onion cakes but their portions aren't very big. It was only 1 onion cake cut up into more pieces compared to other places that would give 2 full onion cakes. I ordered the vermecilli noodles (#45-3 color), and it was not good at all! I'm only writing this review because it was that bad; and I've had a lot of vermecilli bowls at different places in the city. Avoid ordering this item if going here. Or really, just go anywhere else that is awesome! If you can't make a good decent vermecilli bowl, I'm skeptical to try anything else on your menu. The only reason it's getting 2 stars is because of location. At least it's in griesbach, where theres at least chatime and Coco's bubble tea to help offset the taste of the food from this place! read more

Okay so it's awesome to have a place so close to my house that does Pho. So here's my impressions of Pho Ever. Phost of all it does not look like a Pho place. It looks kind of Italian with the vintage light bulbs and romantic music and separate bar, it's pretty classy for a Pho place. So it doesn't lose points but I just thought it was odd. We decided to order some green onion cakes and vermicelli bowls. One thing I really liked about the cakes is they were really light and not greasy, a real plus. We have been to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants, and after a while you know what to expect. If you want good priced healthy Vietnamese food and some green onion cakes, then virtually any Pho place will fit the bill. And this place is no different. It doesn't need to be. The food is great, and come out in large portions. I found it a couple dollars more expensive than the average Pho place though. One GOC was 5$. Normally you can get two for 7$. I also didn't like how thin the meat was; normally you get a few decent sized strips of meat on the vermicelli bowl. This place was like taking one decent sized thin strip and cut that into a bunch of thin strips and then cut that into even thinner strips. I couldn't help but feel a little ripped off. Now the pickled veggies were better than anywhere else and they added a little something something to the entire dish. One thing I should mention, the drinks. I don't think many people come to a Pho place for the cocktails. But we decided to order them anyway for the sake of this review. Mistake. For 10$ you would hope a Piña Colada would be decent. Nope. No umbrella, no cherry, no whipped cream, just a slushy disappointment with a bendy straw. A Bendy Straw? What Am I 12? You get a zero for presentation on the Pina Colada. I didn't feel the least bit tropical and I could barely drink out of it because bendy straws are garbage so I ended up drinking it out of the glass like a caveman. For a classy looking joint with a weird Italian vibe, they could use a little pizazz in their cocktail game, yo. Long story short it gets three stars for having a decent vermicelli bowl, good service and green onion cakes but there is nothing here that makes it stand out really. I will have to try the Pho next time and see how it goes. read more

Overpriced and portion is definitely not generous comparing to other Vietnamese restaurants. Key ingredients were missing for some of the dishes we ordered, not sure it had to do with their portion control... The restaurant itself is clean, which is pleasant to see. Considering how many Vietnamese restaurants in the area with better taste and authenticity, we probably won't pay another visit to this one. read more
