The bathrooms were a bit dirty and only had 1 stall and there were some flushing problems, I got the Pho deluxe for 19.99 and I got a big serving size. That and the part where my cousin found a hair in her food holds me back from giving this place 5 stars. Oh yeah and also my other cousin ordered grilled chicken and got grilled pork. My boyfriend and I were on our way to a different restaurant when we came across Pho Claire. It looked so nice and clean from the outside, so we changed our minds and decided to go here instead. It did not disappoint! My boyfriend got a beef stir fry that was very tasty. I got the banh mi sandwich and a kids pho because the regular pho is always too much for me, especially while traveling. The kids pho ended up being the perfect portion for me and although it didn't come with the traditional veggies, it was still very tasty! I also ordered a virgin Pho-jito which was refreshing and sweet. The egg rolls were also super tasty and crispy! I've never had egg rolls this style before. Decided to try this new pho place in the Myrtle Beach area. The restaurant is clean and not that noisy since there weren't that many people when we went in. The staff were extremely friendly. Got their fresh coconut and Thai coffee- the fresh coconut was extremely refreshing, especially the coconut meat. Their house Bahn mi was good for $16, it's comes with 2 Bahn Mi and a side of fries. The baguette was crispy and soft. I feel like they should just put their 2 Bahn mi into one as there were not much of the Vietnamese meat and meat loaf or daikon, and carrots. Over all still a very good traditional Bahn mi sandwich. Their pho was extremely fresh and very umami. They did an excellent job on the broth, I felt like I was at an authentic Viet Pho restaurant. Will most definitely come back for their pho again. I feel like they failed on their appetizers, we got their fresh spring rolls and chicken viet salad. The springs were extremely sad as the pork was just bits and scraps of left over pork and topped with shrimp with little rice noodles. I guess at least their peanut sauce was good. The chicken viet salad was extremely disappointing and sad. The shrimp crackers underneath the salad was soggy when it got to the table. Wasn't able to get any crunch off of it. Also why put the sauce on the side of the dish if it is already socked in the same sauce. I've had better viet salad and was disappointed. The issue with this place is how loud it is, it sounds like you are in a high school cafeteria, but worse bc music is playing amongst all the dishes clanking and people conversing. I would never come here if you or you have a child who gets easily overstimulated or has sensory issues. I'd definitely recommend carry out though or coming in at an off peak time. Saigon Café may be a better option for the aforementioned reasons for dining in. Pho Claire is eye-catching for its spaciousness and contemporary decor. It can easily fit a 10 or so sizable parties even in the time of social distancing. The menu has all of the classic Viet dishes (pho, bun, banh mi, etc.). During this time, they did put a notice on their window saying that there was a coronavirus related price increase. I didn't know how much that would be until I got the bill, but every item was upcharged by $1 each. As for the food quality, the pho broth was a little light and bland. Perhaps this was done in an effort to appeal to an area that is not very familiar with Asian flavors and smells. It was still enjoyable, but not the best I've had. The banh mi was also a little off as the baguette was not crispy throughout the roll. There's enough to explore on this menu that it deserves a return visit (though we're not in Myrtle anymore). I just hope this coronavirus thing is over and the prices go down a little. By the way, the MB coupon book does have a coupon for a free smoothie or bubble tea in it. read more

It's definitely over priced, but it's a tourist-y area with little to no competition so I guess they can charge whatever. We only got 2 dishes here and it was both delicious. We went in to try this place out since we were in town. Boy if I lived closer, I'd go there as often as I can! Hahaha. We initially got a grilled pork vermicelli bowl, bahn mi, and drunken noodles. All were delicious and I was honestly surprised by how good the drunken noodles were! all dishes came with fresh veggies and herbs. Very good portions! The bahn mi was a little smaller than what I'm used to but overall still filled with a good amount of meat portions and veggies. I can pass on the bahn mi though, there was some kind of spice in it that is not "my norm". It wasn't bad but just not my preference. We asked to try a sample of just the pho broth and the server kindly got it for us with no charge. Sure enough it convinced us to go back the next day for pho! lol. We went the next day for Pho and though I wasn't sure which sample broth it was that she gave us, the beef broth we got was delicious! Best we've ever found on the east coast! The restaurant is super neat and clean, feels luxurious and aesthetically pleasing. The workers/ servers were all very fast, and checked up on us well. 10/10 customer service and 10/10 food wise. Oh! I was in North Myrtle Beach with my mom and sister. Years ago I introduced them to Vietnamese food and I frequently make it at home, especially when they visit. So for our long girls weekend you'd think we would go to one of the many all-you-can-eat seafood buffets, but no, Vietnamese for us. We did a yelp search and while there were several options, Pho Claire stood out for the reviews and photos. This is an interesting concept. It's a sit-down restaurant but the menu is more like quick service, like Chipotle. You basically pick your base, protein and toppings. I picked soft spring rolls with shrimp and a chicken noodle salad. The soft spring rolls were good but definitely missing the pork for extra flavor. I think next time I'd get either chicken or pork instead of shrimp. For entrees we all go chicken noodle salad. Not a huge portion but very tasty. The chicken was thigh meat, and they were perfectly marinated and grilled. I added a heaping portion of Sambal and was happy with my choice. If this is a franchise, I hope they spread across the country to deliver great Vietnamese to the masses. read more

We went to a pho restaurant's in mryle brach yesterday night for dinner, we came in and the server sat us down and gave us the menu, Wothout asking us what we want to drink or gave us utensils. We were done looking at the menu and no one willing to came take our order and after 10-15 mins of waiting they havent came taking our orders but when other ppl came in the restaurant they took their orders first and got their drink and utilities for them. I found thats kinda odds so i went up to the cash register to asked them do we have to ordered at over here cause we been waiting for at least 15 minutes over at the table but no one came to take our orders but the other serves take orders for the person that came after us?????!! The cashier was like omg i am soo sorry!!! Then she went and grab our drink and i was like YEAH!! so we just get up and left!! I've been here several times and each time it gets worse;( so sad because this used to be one of my must visits when I'm in town. Today I ordered the biggest bowl of pho with everything possible so I asked for extra herbs. It arrived with the smallest saucer of herbs. Had to walk over to the ladies chatting in the front for water/herbs and again for the bill. Keep in mind there were only two other tables in the whole restaurant. The food quality seems to be very average now - soup base was extremely salty and some of the meat didn't taste fresh. I'll have to think twice before I come back but if I do - I'm even nervous about ordering to go. I have to say the bathrooms were NOT CLEAN!! Had a group of 10 walked in and was seated immediately. It was no problem to put two tables together so we could sit together. Some places we go, they will not seat a group of 10. But no issue here. Service was great, restaurant was bright, and clean, very well lit. Some got the pho which they said was great, it was so much they ended up taking home about a quart of soup leftovers. Enough for 2 meals. Some got the stir fry, it was really good and the others got the mixed fried rice, which looked awesome. Next time I go back I am trying the mixed rice with the beef shrimp and chicken, it might be called the deluxe fried rice.. definitely looked really good. I don't think Myrtle Beach is the area to find much choice in Vietnamese food but this place looked promising. It's in a good location just past Broadway at the Beach in a nice little shopping plaza and I like the look of the place inside with lots of windows and a clean bright environment. The service was fine. Our particular server didn't know the cuisine so when asking for recommendations he basically said he doesn't "eat this stuff". So um, that's not fun. I got a stir fry beef dish, others at my table had pho. Everything was hot and fresh. We also tried their sangria which I thought was a good value cause you could get a carafe, but it was really syrupy and I was wondering if there was actually any wine in it...Plus it was not clear. That was just odd to me. We also ordered the vietnamese beignets which were essentially fried donut holes. Not worth the price or nothing special. Overall it was a one and done for us. It's not BAD but it's super expensive for what you get...for 4 adults and 2 kids it was over $200 which felt like a lot for soup. And the food was nothing special. read more

I've got mixed feelings here. As their description mentions, this is traditional VN cuisine in a modern setting. True....mostly. From the flooring to light fixtures, the atmosphere and decor are certainly modern. Prep cooks are visible from the dining area. That's certainly a modern flair. But something seemed off. It's hard to find the words. First, I wasn't greeted at the door. The hostess lectern was vacant, and servers and other staff were busy. But I stood at the entrance for a seemingly awkward amount of time without being acknowledged. I get it. Staffing issues. After I was eventually greeted and served the customer service seemed much better. The pho was a solid 3 stars to my highly refined pho palate. Three star pho in this coastal town is satisfactory! I approached the register to pay and noticed the menu mentioned my take away banh mi came with french fries. French fries were a pleasant surprise so I asked the register staff if ketchup was also in the (tighly wrapped) to go bag. In turn, she asked the aforementioned prep cook. I cannot explain the look he gave. Frustration? Annoyance? With me? With the register staff? I know what the look was not. It was not cordial. It was not polite. The initial feeling returned. Something was off. The next day I opened the banh mi bag and was dissappointed. Traditional banh mi uses a French baguette or a very similar VN version. This was neither. It was NOT bad, but it was also not traditional. We have a solid 3 star review. Pho Claire is good for Myrtle Beach and worth a stop. I'll be back and try the bun plate. read more
