Updating my review because Pho Cafe remains the king of Asian food and takeout in the area. Their vietnamese spring rolls? The best I've ever had. Their curry is full of delicious fresh veggies in addition to whatever protein you pick. Their Singapore noodles with combination grilled meat is awesome. Oh and of course their pho is great too. You can't go wrong here. Pickup feels very COVID safe and now allow you to order online in addition to calling in takeout (or ordering when you get there but expect a wait if you go that route; they are usually pretty busy). read more

Authentic Vietnamese Pho! Definitely worth a stop in, especially on a cold winter day. We had great service and asked for recommendations on what to order. Ended up with traditional 2 meat Pho and was happy with the choice! It's comes very mild to begin with but with a side of toppings it's easy to spice up! Some of the pictures people have posted looked just amazing! My experience was solid but not quite as great. I with my normal. Pork spring rolls and Pho Tai.The spring rolls were good not as great as the place I go to normally but definitely not the worst I've ever had. The veggies for the pho where crisp and fresh. As for my pho the broth there was so much oil. Super despondent in that. I hate oily broth. Atmosphere and the customer service is great though. We have eatten at this pho cafe about 2 years ago so walking in it today and seeing it was not very clean was my warning. We ordered takeout and when we got it home the broth was cold and we found a long white hair in the lo mein which ruined our appetite, we called them to request a refund on just the lo mein and they refused. We usually go to Pho Duy when we are craving Pho but decided to try somewhere new. This place was a little far from work but boy was it delicious (Pho Duy is still better, but this is a close second). The broth had a lovely depth. The two woman didn't catch my cue that I was ready to order and kind of went on doing their thing for a while but the server caught my cue and was great in response. Aside from that, my belief for any restaurant is that the restaurant should care enough about their customers to provide filtered water, this water was not filtered. The Pho is fantastic, my regular has become the Tai Chin (thinly sliced raw beef and brisket) comes served with a branch of basil, jalapeño, and bean sprouts. The outside is misleading, Pho Cafe is bigger than you'd think, and the bright green walls decorated with pictures are a nice surprise. This place seems to be always busy, which is not surprising since the food is yummy and prices reasonable. The Bo Vien Pho (meatballs) is very satisfying, and the medium size quite huge. For lunch, the shrimp curry was spicy enough (ordered medium spicy) and came with soup, eggroll and rice. Ending the meal with a Thai coffee makes the entire experience quite pleasant. read more

Really solid pho in an unassuming part of Colorado. I really enjoyed the broth of their pho and the fact that their dac biet comes with meatballs. Summer rolls with pork were also good. Their vietnamese coffee will run you a steep $5.50 but it's quite good as well, strong and not overly sweet. My only nit was service took a little longer than I expected--we had to wait like 8 minutes to get a table, mostly I think due to server shortage. That's just the world we live in post-COVID though, so it's a minor complaint! read more

After 23 years living in Seattle that has fabulous Viet, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, etc. restaurants , we recently moved to Boulder and have been searching for a place nearby to fill those cravings. We did not have a good experience here for lunch. My partner had a make-your-own rolls dish with fried tofu and shrimp. The shrimp was so over cooked it was rubbery and hard to chew. The veggie tray was just 1 veggie: bean sprouts. Since it seemed to be "pan asian" I ordered pad see ew which was probably the worst version of this dish I have ever had. The predominant flavor from the first bite to the last was sugar, lots and lots of sugar, and the color and flavor were off, making me wonder if they forgot the kecap manis. Oddly, they had added canned black mushrooms. Both of our dishes seemed to be what Chinese people think what white people think Viet / Thai food is. In addition the service was lackadaisical. Nearby Busaba was better, as were a number of places on S. Federal in Denver. read more

Coming from a city with limited Vietnamese choices, when I went to Denver I was excited to try a highly recommended Vietnamese restaurant! I checked on Yelp and this place was both highly reviewed and open on Sunday! We drove the 15 or so minutes to get there and I wasn't disappointed! I ordered a standard beef Pho and it was delicious! It was almost as good as the stuff I used to get back in . The service was great and very quick! As is standard for Pho, the portions were enormous! The menu is also very extensive! I tried this place out with my brother on a night when we were both craving pho. We arrived and the place was soooo busy! I always take that as a good sign, and I was right. The pho was fresh and delicious, and not expensive at all! I got the rare steak and the steak wasn't chewy or too fatty, sooo yummy. Highly recommend this place. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! I have known the sisters that own this place for quite awhile from going to their previous restaurant. They are the most friendly, welcoming, accommodating people. Everything is clean, and comfortable, including the bathrooms. My favorite dishes are the sesame tofu, which comes out blazing hot like all the rest of the food. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The fried Vietnamese egg rolls are to die for! Totally addicted! The curries, excellent! Noodle dishes and Pho, same! Everything is super fresh, veggie sides come out blazing hot but not overdone. I can't say enough about what a treat it is to get food here. Whether eating there, or taking stuff to go.
