This is one of the best pho in the Inland Empire!! Very original and the broth is tasty. Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee are strong but it's good. Good and fast service. My husband and I were on our way to drop my dad off at Ontario airport. We wanted to catch a bite to eat with papa before he flew off to the east coast. Came across Pho BamBu. Upon entering, it is a pleasant atmosphere. Our waiter, James, was very polite. We explained we had a time limit due to my dad's flight. It wasnt busy, Our food arrived promptly and was deeeeelish. Loved the pho. (was missing limes though) Was very satisfied and will return. Tip to management: Some music ambiance would be nice. It was a rainy evening and perfect whether for a nice warm bowl of pho. The pho place that my family and I normally enjoy going to was closed, so we ended up yelping for a Pho place that wasn't too far from where we were at, and that's how we ended up at Pho BamBu. It had a four star rating so we figured, why not, let's try it out (must be good considering the four star). Off the bat, I didn't like that no one greeted us, not a "hello" or a smile. The host/waiter guy with the dark glasses just looked at us. We stood there waiting, and decided to just seat ourselves (smh), which then triggered him to follow us with menus. It then took awhile for him to notice that we were ready to order. The place wasn't even busy that night. There was only another couple sitting next to us and a family of four at another table (that was it)!! The pho and fried rice that we ordered was good, I'll give them that credit, but the spring rolls were definitely over priced for just three rolls which didn't have anything special in it but just a bunch of lettuce, noodles and 3 pieces of shrimp. We also put in an order for the durian drink and had to remind them twice that we hadn't gotten our drinks yet, and didn't get our drinks till close to finishing our dinner, and by that time we ended up just taking the drinks to go. The lady who brought our drinks out didn't even apologize about the delay, nor smile, instead she gave us this sour look. I also noticed that another yelper posted a picture, pointing out that this restaurant had a "B" rating. Aside from the food, customer service was just HORRIBLE!! One of the things ppl repeatedly complained about here was lack of service. I came in expecting that. First I work at a company where the workers don't speak English like at all. Sometimes I'm intimitaded to approach them with my not so fluent Spanish speaking skills, sometimes (and I know it's wrong) I'll just turn the other way or search for my co worker who is more fluent than I. The old bald guy saw our drinks were half empty and was approaching us til he noticed our glasses were by the window and then went somewhere else. A Vietnamese family came in and they got good service cuz they all spoke the same language. In another situation I would give this business 2 or 3 stars but I understand. The younger guy served us well, he even brought out samples of the noodles so my bf and I could decide which noodle we wanted. He onli charged me for 1 Thai tea. And he made sure my bf's cup always had soda. The food was good. I got some soup and my boyfriend got somethin with the meat on top but it wasn't soup. He liked it. The friend rice and spring rolls were pretty good. I would definetly come back for the pho and the Thai tea. The soup tasted even better the next day. When u walk in just sit anywhere it was awkward for us cuz we thought someone would seat us. read more

I am such a Pho-lover - so when this place opened near my house, I was so excited to have pho only 5 mins. away! I am very pleased with this restaurant! The inside is very modern, clean and well-kept! The food is DELICIOUS! Always hot, fresh, and cooked perfectly. I have NEVER had to send anything back. And you get your order fairly quick after you place it. My only compliant is the service is a little slow. Like another reviewer mentioned, you have to wave them down or get their attention if you need anything. But beyond that, this place is GREAT! read more

Kind of a weird place. I ordered a roll, the shrimp one in the rice paper for an app and the chicken soup, small as my main. Literally, I mean literally 45 seconds later they brought out this huge boiling cauldron of soup. Where's my app, my water, my beer? They all came out in due time. It kind of worries me that the soup came out so quick. Everything was not really seasoned to well, but I doctored it all up with all the condiments they had at the table, so it ended up being pretty good. I couldn't finish anything, I could only imagine the size of the large soup. as I sat there, finished not eating, all the male servers were just kind of standing around staring at me, it was a little creepy. I sat there for a while and finally the young female server came over with my check, even though I never asked for it. Weird place, but ok I guess, after I finished seasoning everything. I ordered the #31 - charbroiled pork, baked minced meat & egg, and shrimp paste on rice. It was a good sized portion and the pork was very flavorful. Normally, I'm not a fan of shrimp paste because it just tastes like imitation shrimp grounded up & mashed into an odd little shape, but this one actually tasted pretty good. The egg rolls were good too. Nice open seating with a decent amount of tables and booths. Come before noon to beat the lunch rush M-F. read more

Love the variety, but it can be confusing. I hate when I'm dining alone and seated in the center, very uncomfortable. But at lunch hour the booths fill up fast. This review is not based on the food, it's based on the service -- BECAUSE the staff didn't even give me the OPPORTUNITY to try the food. A couple of friends and I went in to try the phō and a older couple went in at the same time. We literally sat and waited for 30 mins and didn't even get offered a glass of water let alone what we wanted to order. We made eye contact plenty of times and mind you, the restaurant wasn't very busy. After 30 mins of disappointment my friend and I left. As we approached the door I noticed the couple that got there at the SAME time as us had their drinks and were already half way done with their food. Yay!! Just found another great Pho place in the IE! I got to know Pho when living out in LA County and when I moved back here, I was extremely bummed out by a lack of variety in food... I thought the pho was good but the services was horrible. I came in with a group of 4 including myself. The first thing they do is sit the group that was behind us first. They only had one waiter taking orders and a couple cleaning tables. So it took way to long to get their attention. Also when they finally brought our pho they forgot one of my group members pho because they gave it to another table so she had to wait for them to make a new one. After finally getting the attention of a worker to bring us a container for the pho the worker dropped the container on one of my group members looked at her walked away and didn't say sorry. They need more waiters and to focus more on the customers. read more

The broth for the pho is delicious. The spring rolls are decent also. I got a pho tai sach to go and I had double the amount of broth I needed for the noodles, and a good amount of meat with the noodles. Right down the street from my work, I'll definitely be back. read more

I have been here on multiple occasions, to meet a friend near the area and also with my family when we are in the Ontario area. The pho broth is amazing! I tried the chicken pho once and wasn't a fan, because the chicken tasted bland/dry. The beef pho is really good though! Prices are fair for what you get. Parking is never an issue. Staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful, without bothering you while you eat :) Another bonus is that it's really close to the Ontario Mills Outlet Mall! One word. Disappointment. I went to lunch with my coworker here. We got pho and spring rolls. It's not that the food was bad. It's just I was mildly discontent with the fact that you can kinda tell by the way the noodles were clumped together that they had cooked the noodles before hand and took them out of he pot and portioned them into the bowls to wait for people to order pho. The noodles must have had time to cool down completely stick together as a block and just become a brick. Even with warm broth poured onto it, the noodles break easier and don't become unstuck. Good food, I have gone twice so far and I can't remember how long it took the 1st time to get my food but this last weekend I went at night. It took so long and I only order seafood pho. My drink was expensive for it not being so big. The staff really don't understand or speak English so it was hard to communicate. Besides that the food was delicious! read more

The atmosphere is okay, small, a few tables and booths. I give the pho ga (chicken) a 1 out of 5 stars. The chicken was dry and rubbery, the broth was dark and way over seasoned with star anise. The pho tai (rare beef) gets about a 2.5-3 stars. It was average, nothing special. The fried chicken spring rolls were skinnier than I've ever had before. I'd rate then at a 2.5 stars. They didn't have much in them, it only appeared to have chicken and a few strands of carrot. They served it with one piece of lettuce and a bowl of sauce. They definitely could have used more lettuce. I also wished they served it with fresh mint leaves, as other pho restaurants serve them with. They carry a small variety of bottled beers. Staff was friendly but only came around to refill drinks, never to ask how the food was. Overall, I will not eat here again. read more

Ok I hate to give bad review, but after thinking a while I have to say something so customers can find it's helpful. A month ago, my brother took my family out for Friday dinner. We prefered Pho Ha instead but my brother who is from Arizona kept telling us this is a new restaurant and it's good. Ok we gave it a shot. I first came in not very impressed with customer service already. There was 2 young guys cleaning the table for us, which was very slow and unsantized. It's okay. We can re-clean it by ourselves. The unimpressed action was I'm a pregnant woman and they treated me like "Oh there is a pregnant woman and it's so unlucky." Ignored my presence when I approached the table and they kept cleaning the floor no cortesy in oder to accidentally hit me on my bump. Ok the food I have to say it was so bad. We ordered 2 Pho (beef noodle soup) 1 vermicelli with bbq pork and egg rolls. 1 rice with beef. 1 coconut juice. 1 mung bean desert. 1 soda. PHO tasted like they put MSG. I hardly can eat only 1 bite, I asked my husband what is it? Let me make you clear. My husband is white and I'm Vietnamese and I do know how Vietnamese food taste like. Vermicelli and Rice like they put so much sugar or teriyaki sauce on the beef and pork. Coconut juice like they got it out of the coconut cans from 99 Ranch. I imagined when I have coconut juice it is from the coconut chopped open, not coconut can. How Cheap is this restaurant? Remember the food here is not that inexpensive. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED! NEVER BACK. P/S: I wondered why that day they have so many customers, mostly was Hispanic and Caucasians. I was thinking to myself maybe these customers don't know how Vietnamese food taste like. Got here looked like it was closed because its dark in the front, and the windows are tinted. Waited for about 5 mins at our seats. I ordered the pho rare steak. There was enough meat in mine i even had left over. My husband got the pho combination he had finished his all as usual. I asked for a cup for my soda cuz u had only sipped it twice. Service sucks. My family and I walk in expecting big things because of the 4 star rating on yelp. But it's far from that. To me customer service should be a no brainer...but the servers feel compelled to only give one family already seated all the attention. We stood in front about 5 min while all the servers just looked as they passed by serving this one family. I'm sorry was that family royalty from the home country? We finally verbally said to go to another restaurant when low and behold they rush to ask, "Do you want to be seated? " Really? No, we want to stand here and watch other people eat. Idiot. Needless to say we left and found another pho restaurant about 3.5 miles away corner of hellman and foothill called Pho Ha. Busy, but were immediately greeted, seated, and orders taken. Go there if you want to be treated as a paying customer rather than dirt on the bottom of a shoe that those incompetent people at pho Bambu will definitely do. I'll critique the food at Pho Ha and post a review. Until then steer away from that piss poor excuse of a restaurant Pho Bambu. I'd give it a -1 if yelp would let me. read more

Food here is good ! Everything Ive tried I have liked. The reason I gave this place only 3 stars is because their customer service sucks!! Getting seated, ordering, and getting our food is pretty fast. But every time I've had to ask for our drinks at least 3x and refills are a pain as well. The girls are more interested in chatting amongst each other that they hardly notice people flagging them down. Once I get someone's attention and ask for a refill I get attitude. This is the best Vietnamese place I have been to. I drive 15 minutes to come here specifically. Whether its Pho or a Vermacelli dish, the food is always consistent. Best egg rolls and Thai tea I have ever had. The service is fine not bad by any means. If my husband ever has a craving for Vietnamese I always make him take me here. I see that a couple people mentioned the letter rating of the restaurant has been low, to be honest I have not noticed the rating but I have never gotten sick from their food. read more

Place is good. Very flavorful pho,aweswome shrimp spring fresh rolls and clean ( if the shrimp is not devained im not eating period) this place had clean shrimp. STAff was nice and service was fast. I love Phò but this place isn't for me. Went in the afternoon and service was slow. The food was nice and hot. Their thia tea was delicious but within 30 minuets of leaving I had the worst stomach and barely made it home before I got mud butt. Pretty sure i had food poisoning.
