We had the Pho, it was delicious! I had a combo. It included beef and meatball Pho, an egg roll and a drink for $13.95. The prices are very reasonable! My husband's Pho was a special Pho. It has beef, meatballs, rib and oxtail. It was delicious as well. A cool little gimmick, the food was delivered by a robot, . The server assisted. Our server was very nice and helpful. I saw on IG that this place was under new ownership and they had specials going on so I figured I'd bring in my family to try it. I ended up getting a Combo 2 which included a pretty decent size pho dac biet, a mini goi cuon & a soda all for $15. The broth was ok - not too sweet, not too salty and not too aromatic. I didn't mind this because I'm personally someone who dresses up my broth with hoisin and sriracha. I also ordered cha gio (egg rolls) which were rolled and fried perfectly. We ended off the meal with some Vietnamese iced coffee and wrapped up our quick lunch. I highly recommend everyone to give Pho97 a try under this new ownership. read more

Delightful lunch with friendly service. They were packed when we arrived and we know why. Had the Pho Combo #2 which includes soda and spring or egg roll. Also had a Bahn Mi sandwich combo which includes CafeSuDa. Delicious food and will try other things on the menu. Bahn Mi Sandwich is rare to find and after years of looking we found a restaurant that had them. The 97 in the name stands for the year they opened 1997. read more

Decided to try this place for the first time this afternoon. Everyone was very friendly and the Pho was very good. First time I've ever been served by a robot! Prices were very reasonable. The restaurant is not fancy but clean. If you're in the Pinellas Park area I would definitely recommend this place for a quick shot of Vietnamese love. read more

Best pho I've had in all of St. Pete. I enjoyed their rice dishes as a kid and now I always order their special combo pho #23 (and their Vietnamese coffee). The broth is so flavorful, noodles are cooked perfectly, and you're given big pieces of meat. Doesn't need extra seasoning but I love adding chili oil and mixing sriracha with hoisin as dipping sauce for the meat. Your pho also comes with fresh herbs and greens which are a must! The restaurant itself is very cute as well, lots of Vietnamese decor and good music. Vy was my recent server and she was super kind and accommodating. I highly recommend Pho 97. read more

We popped in here at random when we saw this place on the way home from St Pete. We figured we'd try it! My Banh Mi was ok but didn't contain any jalapeño. My wonderful wife didn't enjoy her pho. We also got some egg rolls which were greasy and a pork vermicelli dish which wasn't as good as others in the area. Bottom line. We won't be returning. Life is good anyway! read more

f I could give a 0 Star, I would. It is such a horrible place. The food was so bad, like they poor plain water in the soup. The service was horrible. They wanted cash for the bao bun, so I went ahead n pay for it cash before sit down and eat, assuming that the bao bun will be given to me at the end before we head out. Once we were done eating, we ask for the bao bun and they said they brought it to us to the table while we were eating which they didn't. And we were sitting there eating with out leaving the restaurant the whole time and obviously they saw we walk to them without any bag in our hands. I went there twice. The first time it was busy and the food was okay. The second time was a little slow and the weather was warmer. While we were eating I noticed a swarm of gnats or fruit flies around the hoisins sauce on the table behind us which empty. Ordered pho. The pho was VERY salty. When paid, gave the tips. The lady said it's not enough and wanted more! What the heck?!?!?!.. I never though giving $10 tips to 3 order of pho is not enough! This not your typical pho place. The reason behind is they prepared according to their street side food vendors in Vietnam. If you come here, the pho soup base is very herbal taste. Typical American will not like it. But I love it. I got the pho tai nam gan sach. It is combination beef noodle. The four major meat ingredients are rare slice beef, flank marinated beef, tendon, beef tripe. Guess what, they don't use beef ball. The tendon and tripe cut method also different. The soup is darker colors with herbal taste. It is very good. I also got two bah mi one with special cold cut and the other is grill pork. $3.50. Good deal than most. The other dish I got is the vermicelli with grilled pork, shrimp, and egg roll. My wife like this dish. The interior of the restaurant need work. However, the cost of the food make up the restaurant need for customers. The price is reasonable. read more

Read reviews, thought we were in for a treat with the Pho. Went inside, did not seem like the cleanest, but we decided to sit down and order. Tables were not clean- should have been our first sign. Ordered spring rolls and 2 chicken Pho. The spring rolls had funky chicken in it. The Pho had some weird chicken cartilage pieces, but the kicker was when we were almost done and I look over at the vertical blinds to see a smashed German roach on the blind. One of my best Pho restraints in FL. We normally eat breakfast here (open at 8am) and the head to the nearby Farmer Market.

I was passing through the neighborhood and in the mood for some pho to take home for lunch. Friends had highly recommended Pho 97 and I pas it frequently. As described in a few other posts the inside is pretty blah, it's simple and functional; like most of the places I've seen in southeast Asia. I ordered the #20 Pho Ga - large bowl ($7.50) described as a ​chicken noodle soup with shredded chicken. The woman at the register was very friendly but between talking quickly and her Vietnamese accent she was hard to follow. She told me what I think was that they charge more for take-out than the menu to eat there. And based on my change I was charged $8.50 which makes sense. I'm not sure why the would charge more, but it's still a pretty good deal. When I got home and unwrapped everything, I found a container with noodles (all stuck together in one lump), chunks​ of chicken and sliced red onion. Another container with the broth, it was flavorful but not as intense as I expected, a small container of hoisin sauce and a bag with sprouts and greens and herbs. It was OK, just a little flat, I could taste ​strong​ star anise and five spice flavor, but it was missing something. I'm willing to chalk it up to being takeout and not as good a prepared and eat fresh from the kitchen, ​so I expect I'll give it another try. read more

While I was there, there was 1 other table of about 8 men, I assume they were in construction, but they kept talking about womanizing and dropping the F bomb... The last time I ate there was with my family and relatives more than 8 years ago. It was below average so not until today that we decided to try again as my mom heard it's a different chef now. At a glance, the place doesn't look too pleasant if not dirty with worn out/peeling of faux leather chairs. As usual, my brother gave me some disinfectant wipes to quickly clean the chair for my 3 year-old girl. There were bits of rice grains and who knows what kind of food left on that nicest-looking chair. The lady owner of the place rudely criticized my action which looked offensive to her as if she should done a better job. I tried not to get upset, but she went on with her unwelcoming/mocking comments, making sure about 8-10 present customers take a weird look at us. Of course I did not even sit down and got super annoyed, said "SERIOULY?!" before we marched out of that place. Even without the COVID thing, I am the type of person that must at least do a quick wipe before I sit down in regular restaurants (which doesn't happen too often as I'm very picky and we cook well at home.) Never before did I get mocked in such a narrow-minded manner. Obviously the owner showed poor professionalism in conducting her business. See you never again! Came in with my family. My sister proceeded to wipe just a seat for her toddler daughter which you can understand given these covid times-- being extra careful doesn't hurt. We heard these snarky remarks from the female owner a few meters away at the counter. You know the kind where they're pretending to talk to someone else but is really directed at you saying verbatim "As if we're carrying germs." At first we let it slide, pretending to be oblivious but seeing our non-reaction prompted her to repeat her garbage. Needless to say, we got up and left. Maybe she does keep her furniture germ-free(doubtful) but what about the possibility of other customers sitting down and kids being the handsy type that they are. Went to this place after camping for the weekend. All I wanted was good pho and this place surely delivered. First, they were open on Sunday, which is a win. Second, they are on my way home and they have a pescaterian option. Third, it's really cheap. So I ordered the seafood pho. I got a huge bag of sprouts and basil on the side, a large soup container and a nice size box of seafood and noodles. The seafood box had shrimp, crab and some other things I did not recognize. It also had rice noodles and some scallions/lettuce. It tasted great! I did not see any vegetarian or vegan options on the menu. It cost me $9. The portion was big and I will surely go back and order it again. It took them about 5 - 10 minutes to make it. The place itself doesn't look very inviting but it's definitely worth a try. I was not the happiest going there, the uncleanliness just kinda spoiled my appetite. The peanut sauce was very watery, I'm used to it being nice and thick like from other places I've been where it's like sticking to the spring roll. There was a tiny tiny little bug in my soup maybe from the fresh herbs not being washed thoroughly, I don't know. The regular soy sauce bottle was pretty transparent, so I used the less sodium bottle because looked normal. Prices are good. Staff was nice though. Don't think I will come back. I usually never leave a drop of soup left at other places I've had pho, but I just wasn't feelin the whole experience at all. That's just me and my experience. read more

When the waitress didn't know what Pho Tai was (the most common pho), I was concerned - also, she didn't seem to know what waitressing was... We were the only people in the place (see pics) at the prime dinner hour...which seemed odd. The pho, our reason for going, was borderline inedible. The pho meat was awfully tough...not in any way the correct cuts for the pho tai. More like jerky! The broth tasted 'chemically'. I only ate a few bites...my girlfriend managed two. Worst pho I have ever had...and I am pretty forgiving. The spring rolls and fried rolls were quite good though...and managed to salvage a 2 star rating . Maybe some other dishes are also good? Of note, there was what appeared to be a very large bloodstain on the ground right outside the front door which left me with an eerie feeling and did not help encourage me to want to return. Obviously this used to be a regular diner of some sort before Pho 97 took over, since the bathrooms are startlingly clean for a Vietnamese restaurant - if you know what I mean. There really isn't much to say about Pho 97. It's not mind blowing nor disgusting so it really is an A-OK food. The only issue I had with the pho was that there was too much grease on top of the soup to my liking. I did not like the grease sticking my lips. The service was also meh. We sat down at our tables and was set up with food and that was it. No one visited to ask if we needed anything else nor filled our glasses. We were the only table in the restaurant on a Sunday evening. It's definitely not the place I have in mind if I wanted to grab some Vietnamese food. I'm all for ma and pa types of restaurant but unfortunately, Pho 97 does not wow me. read more

Pho 97 has always been a hidden gem! It's a very small and I also family owned. The service isn't the best, but the food alone is worth the wait. I've been coming here quite often! They have various dishes from Pho, buns, rice dishes! They don't have a veggie option for Pho cause of the broth, but I do get just noodles and broth, and add all the sides to add tot he soup! The pho here has the most tasteful broth around, I hardly need a thing added to it but because I love spicy, I always add sriracha and extra jalapeños! The food come out very quickly sometimes even before the appetizer which the spring rolls and egg rolls are always fresh made order! I've had a few of the veggie rice dishes as well as which were all so amazing! Definitely worth checking out for your pho needs! You won't be disappointed!! ENJOY read more

Simple, friendly, and good. After a so-so past, the reincarnated Pho 97 emerged at this slightly nicer location. A flashing sign beckons you into dull plaza where a store sign is still needed. It's clean inside with simple, plain décor--it felt like stepping into a communal dining area for hostel guests in Vietnam. Great for the Viet community, but I hope this place plans on décor upgrades to lure outsiders. The menu is large featuring typical Vietnamese café fare: pho (duh, it's in the name), vermicelli bowls, seafood... my soup "Hue" style was delicious. My friends' pho was excellent as well--no complaints. Service was fast... don't think this is a totally new restaurant testing the waters. (wait a bit until they can accept credit cards) There's lots of similar Viet restaurants in taste and price in St. Pete and this one doesn't stand out. I see Pho 97 catering best to the native, Viet family/community because of its current atmosphere. read more
