Grilled pork and vermicelli with eggroll

Food was great. Really hit the spot during the cold day. My daughter got the rare beef pho and I got the Vermicelli with pork and eggroll. Both equally portioned well. I had no leftovers. The pho broth was perfect! Had to get another broth to go. Definitely will be our spot for Pho in the future.

Love the ambiance and service. Was very nice and the people who owned the restaurant was so nice. The food was amazing. 10/10. You should absolutely go.

The food was everything I would expect at an authentic PHI restaurant. I enjoyed the brisket PHO. The chili sauce was really spicy, which is what I loved. The service was very good. This is the first time I've made it into this little hidden gem in Brownsburg, but I will definitely be back. the owner was actually cutting up some tree branches for decoration to give the restaurant a little more ambience and make it feel more welcoming inside.

I was so happy to find pho 88 in brownsburg! Much quicker than driving through Avon which is where I usually go for pho. The staff here was so friendly and got a great portion for the price! This was my first time getting chili oil with it and it was delicious!

I've been in this strip mall before but had never stopped in. I always forget about this restaurant when it's time to get food. I stopped in after window shopping in Kohls a few doors down. The restaurant is bright and airy and has a easier ambiance. I wanted something lighter so I got the banh mi sandwich. That sandwich was so, so good. It didn't need anything added to it and was not dry at all. I definitely will be back to try some other dishes!

Best Vietnamese Pho in Indy! I only wish it was closer to my home. It's awesome to see local restaurants like this serving such excellent food at very reasonable prices. This review is by a man who travelled frequently for work and have enjoyed many excellent Vietnamese pho restaurants in Philadelphia, northern Virginia, Atlanta and LA in the last 15 years. I've been here about 5-6 times and I can say it's definitely my favorite pho spot in Indy. The broth has great flavor without being salty or reminiscent of msg. Prices at on point. Egg rolls taste house made to me. Dipping sauce is standard but delicious. Veggies are fresh and pickled veggies are tasty too. Bo Bun Hue / Spicy Beef Vermicelli soup - excellent flavor as well. It doesn't taste instant or very spicy but unflavorful at the same time, if you know what I mean. Very nice portion of soup, noodles and meat. It doesn't come with pork feet/blood like many other places, but I normally request to leave these out anyway. Bo Luc Lac / Shaking Beef - excellent seasoning/flavor and generous portion but I felt the beef was over cooked. I want to try it again but I'd definitely ask to have it cooked medium rare. The places I've really enjoyed this dish tend to have bigger cuts of beef which likely help it from being over cooked or dried out. Regardless, I'd try this one again with the one request for medium/medium-rare beef.

I was a little sad when my go-to Pho spot closed again and didn't have a date to re-open, but that led me to Pho 88. Since I've moved, this location is actually closer to me so it's a win win situation. The owner is very nice and will converse with you while you wait. I went with my regular Pho Tai to-go and it was packed very well to avoid spilling. Once I got home and put everything together it was amazing. I will certainly keep this location in my rotation.

Wish this place was closer to us, because we really enjoyed the food here. Might even consider it our favorite Vietnamese place in the Indy area (besides egg roll #1) I tend to order beef stew whenever we go to Vietnamese places, and this place offers what I consider to be the best I've ever tried. Had a really nice lemon grass background flavor. My husband got rare beef pho, and he enjoyed the broth and the quantity of noodles (more than other places). My 3 year old really enjoyed the sticky rice and chicken. Spring rolls were very good too. We ordered a Banh mi, but it didn't come out (it wasn't on our bill either). We look forward to trying it in the future since the other food was really good. Also I think they changed the name to be "Jenny's Pho"

Grilled Pork and Egg Roll Vermicelli

Love this place! Food is top notch. Things I would recommend are the rice cakes, banh mi, and the vermicelli bowls (grilled pork and egg rolls is my fave). And the pho, of course! Can't go wrong with that. Also to note...the owner is very personable and friendly and great at recommending items from the menu. During our most recent visit, there were a ton of tables filled and he was the only one taking orders, doing the drinks, bussing the food - but everything came quick! I was in awe! Count us as regulars!

This new Vietnamese restaurant is located in the old Jenny-Pho location in Brownsburg. The owner was very personable and is excited to be part of the community. Seat yourself as you enter at one of the 2 or 4-top tables. The atmosphere is quite and relaxing and afterwards you pay at the counter. The owner was the only server today at lunch but he was attentive and service was prompt even with him handling 8 tables. The menu isn't one of those overwhelming menus. Pho 88 offers the standard Vietnamese options of Rice dishes (beef, chicken, seafood), Pork Chops, Fried Rice, Pho (rice noodles with meatball, chicken or special, all beef), Combination Noodle Soup, Vermicelli (pork, chicken, beef), Vegetarian options, Stir Fried Noodles, Sandwiches (Banh Mi) and Boba Teas. I had all intentions of ordering Pho before I sat down but re-thought how messy I am with Pho. The meals aren't served with an eggroll or soup. For that reason, I started with an order of egg rolls (3 per order). They were exceptionally good, not greasy, perfectly fried and served hot with a nice balance of filling. I opted for the Spicy Shrimp (10 medium size) with bell peppers, onions and lemongrass served with steamed rice. I elected to upgrade ($1.49) to the fried rice but didn't see much of a difference. I asked about the type of sauce served with my entree and was told it's served dry with enough liquid to mix with the rice. I didn't really find that so I added fish and hoisin sauce for the brown sauce flavor I was missing. Unfortunately, everything tasted like hoisin sauce after that but I didn't mind. The bell peppers, onions and lemongrass were nicely sauteed. The shrimp had a good flavor by themselves but wasn't spicy IMHO so don't let spicy deter you from ordering. I also ordered the Special Pork Chop (to-go) with a fried egg and I'm not sure what the other piece of meat was but looked like a slice of meatloaf. My son enjoyed his meal and the flavor of the pork chop. I forgot to ask him what the other meat was but he devoured everything. Pho 88 only offers one lunch special and I would love to see that expanded. The food was afforable, tasty and the service was prompt. I won't hestitate to return when in the area again. I still want to try the Pho.

This place is great. Jenny pho was always very hit or miss. We had some horrid experiences there, the worst being the white man they had as a server called the owner a brown man and forced me to order a sardine sandwich even though I told him I wouldn't like it. This place was warm and welcoming. The man who served us made sure we understood the menu and he checked back in on us once we had our food (something that NEVER happened at Jenny Pho). The only complain is once we finished it took some time to get the bill. But was a good visit ! THANK YOU PHO 88 FOR KEEPING VIETNAMESE FOOD IN BROWNSBURG.

The broth was tasty but they didn't give enough bean sprouts or basil. It was served on a small saucer! Never seen this before! Every Vietnamese restaurant always gives a plate of items to add to your soup. This was strange. On to the spring rolls appetizer which came out after our main dish. They were dry and the grill pork was like beef jerky. Not good at all. No carrots inside either. The rice noodle bowl had the same dry jerky style pork and shrimp that were overcooked and dry. Lastly the star of the show was the Bahn Mi sandwich which was flavorful and juicy. The best thing I tasted there! Niceness is not all it takes. They have to know their job. Inside the restaurant the decor had not changed from the previous owners. It was clean and smelled fresh. The condiments on the table looked fresh and well kept. The one strange thing I noticed was a piece of paper origami trash bin on the table with trash hand written on it. What is this?!?! They do sell small plastic table top trash cans. Please fix this. Overall not a bad experience. I will give them another try in the future and do another review. Apologies for the lack of photos as I was not impressed enough to even take them.
