My friend took me to her favorite place for pho this past Saturday night and I was very impressed! We started off with the pork egg rolls, but I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo! Our server was very sweet and very quick and attentive. She made sure to clear plates in front of us before serving us our pho. She also made sure we knew how to eat the pho and how to dress it up with the toppings. I decided on the seafood pho and it came with imitation crab, shrimp, scallops, and I believe calamari. I dressed it up with jalapeño, greens, bean sprouts, lime, hoisin sauce, Sriracha and chili oil. It was delicious! I finished the whole bowl and went home very satisfied.
I'm only giving two star because the pho was actually decent, I would leave a one star review just because staff was pretty horrible. I usually go to the pho 79 by FIU, I know you can never just assume that restaurants will be exactly the same but let me tell you about my weird experience. I went in and it was pretty slow, but there were about 7 dirty tables, everyone was just looking past it because if they didn't have to clean it they didn't have to set it up for you either. We sat in a table meant for 4 even though we were just two, the lady who took care of us just looked very tired, I almost felt like a disturbance to her lol whatever, my boyfriend ordered a small beef pho, I ordered the rice vermicelli pork bbq with extra sauce on the side (the bbq sauce was what I specifically asked her for) she says sure and we wait a bit until the food comes out. I asked for the veggies on the side since I usually dip them into the sauce. When we eventually get our food I get what you will see pictured below and two of what looks like some sort of vinaigrette (forgive me I don't know which it was) but I kindly stop someone else and ask him if I can please have the bbq sauce the pork is cooked in (the pork looked like it was a sheet cut into squares by the way) he says that's the one I have in my hand. I told him I know it's not the same one and he says that's all they have. The lady tells me the same thing too, she says they can't give me the sauce it's cooked in. I literally don't know why...I guess they buy it prepackaged and that's why there's no extra sauce lol, but overall experience was pretty bad, go to the FIU one and have a great experience with REAL food and nice people!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. and the place looks phenomenal as well.
Sadly this is not a positive review but it is honest. And I will gladly change it to a positive review in the future if my experiences change. I was with a group of 5, we all really love pho and was excited to try. The customer service and politeness was amazing and we got seated right away. If it wasn't for the hair in my bun bo hue, I would have been more generous about the star. Usually, when there's foreign objects (like hair) in my food, the staff will take the plate away and bring back a new one. I think they forgot what I ordered so the new soup they gave me was a beef pho but not bun bo hue =\ I didn't bring it up though because I didn't want to inconvenience the kitchen. My girlfriend said her fries were great but the chicken pho she ordered sent her to the bathroom 9 times the next day. So yeah, I wish we had a better experience because the staff was friendly.
We came for dinner and ordered the crispy pork spring rolls as an appetizer. I had the beef shot rib platter and hubby had a banh mi with pho broth to dip it in. We also had two lemonades. Everything was good and our waitress was attentive and sweet. They charge a service fee if you use a credit card so bring cash!
I stopped by Pho79 and ordered the vegetarian pho, and I'm glad I did. The broth was incredibly aromatic, with a depth of flavor that felt both light and comforting. It had that signature pho warmth and umami richness. The vegetables were fresh and added a nice textural contrast to the tender and silky noodles. Side note...Don't forget to load your pho up with the accompaniments they offer. The fresh basil pairs so well with the broth, and that chili crunch can really level up the experience. Service was just as impressive. We arrived close to closing, but our waitress was friendly, welcoming, and made sure we never felt rushed. The atmosphere is casual with a touch of modern. Overall good energy...relaxed but lively enough to make it feel like an exciting place. Can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu.
When I think of comfort foods pho is definitely at the top of my list. I ordered small #31, classic banh mi and the pork vermicelli to go for lunch the next day (I am always thinking about my next mean, can you tell?). I've had to get used to not having much Asian food in Miami and have to search far and wide for what is acceptable to me. The pho broth was rich and flavorful. The meats were yummy. The banh mi was a little weird in how they filled it. I've never had the meats vertically stacked like that. It was on the small side as well for $9+. It was ok... I've had better and meatier banh mi's. Probably wouldn't order it again. The fried dough had a delicious chocolate and condensed milk sauce. It really hit the spot for dessert. I took the pork vermicelli home and had it for lunch. THe presentation isn't great but it was pretty delicious. The flavor of the pork was *chef's kiss*. I was charred just right and the marinade they used, I could have it every day and probably not get sick of it. The service was quick and efficient. No complaints there!
I got delivered chicken pho. It was exceptionally fresh. It came with all the fixings for a very tasty soup. This experience will have me check them out in person soon.
If you want something quick and is soup this is the place to go. They welcome you right when you step in. They let you choose where you want to sit. They have a couple tv screens that is advertising their different food. From the moment you sit at the table they bring you water. The server always comes to you quick. Their pho is always yummy. They bring you a plate that comes with bean sprouts, basil and jalapeños. You don't have to add those in but those comes with the pho. I got #29 which comes with meatballs. I always add the bean sprouts and on a side plate I use the chilli garlic and the siracha sauce that they have on the table. During the lunch time they are always busy but they are always super quick.
i've been coming here for 5+ years and it's the best place to come when you want a fresh, quick meal. the vermicelli with tofu and shrimp is amazing. it's light but the sauce on the protein is amazing and smokey. i tried the shrimp shumai and thai tea today and they did not disappoint. our server was super sweet and attentive. the interior is nice and dark with lots of seating.
Moving here from the DMV, we needed a go to pho place and we are so manny we found Pho79. The sizes are reasonable and their menu is very extensive. It's pretty easy to find a table but there have been a few times we have to wait to sit. I also like that there plenty of free parking at this location! Pho79 is located in a shopping strip full of other yummy restaurants. The service is always good and I love the neon lights that they added. I always order the seafood pho/rice noodle soup and it's consistently great! If you haven't tried Pho 79, I highly suggest it!

Everything is great. Fast, easy, delicious! While I really dislike the tile (looks dirty) the tables are clean, the Pho is flavorful and always yummy, and the serving of greens and basil are awesome!! Love taking it home for seconds so make sure to get a large!! I like my Pho spicy and the milk tea goes great! read more

I've been to this restaurant twice over the years as it has reinvented itself, and this time was by far the best! As a vegetarian, I was happy to see several vegetarian options. I tried the Bun dau hu nuong, which was delicious! The waitress was very attentive and the food came out so quickly! She told me the dish normally came with fish sauce and recommended a ginger sauce instead, which was great! The grilled tofu in the summer roll was so good! I liked the peanut hoisin sauce so much that I kept it for the bun dau hu nuong. I will be coming back! read more

Needed something to eat before hitting the Dadeland Mall and I saw this while driving by. When I get pho i always get chicken pho which is pretty hard to mess up. I was (happily) surprised when I saw their menu included Boba smoothies. Many places only have Boba tea so i appreciated the difference. I got the Taro flavor and WOWWW!! I've had lots of Boba but nothing compared to this one. As far as service, we were sat down immediately upon entering and our server was the best. She broke down the menu well and was constantly making sure we were well taken care of. The parking is directly in front of the restaurant too. I would come back for sure read more

I've been dying to try pho and finally decided to try pho 79 because it's close to my house. The place was extremely clean (even the condiments on the table were clean and not smeared like in a lot of places). We were warmly greeted by a lady who also became our waitress. She was extremely attentive and incredibly kind. When I got my pho I honestly thought they had brought me the wrong size; I had ordered a medium and I thought I had gotten a large - the portions were HUGE! Along with the pho, you are given a large plate of things you can add to the pho and several different sauces. It was so fun mixing different things into my pho and giving it a unique taste. I enjoyed doing something out of the ordinary for dinner. Will definitely be visiting this place again when the weather is cool. read more
Bowl of pho + Vietnamese coffee = Breakfast of hungover champions. That broth was brothentic AF. It comes with all the herbs, greens, and toppings. Certified deliciousness. Skip the papaya salad. If I have to drive all the way from Brickell, it better be worth it - and Pho 79 is a GEM. I can't think of a better Vietnamese in Miami area. I am a creature of habit and my go to items are: - Bahn mi sandwich (they call it an appetizer but you can make a meal of it very easy) - Summer rolls with shrimp - Pho with beef - broth to die for, and a portion feeds two of not three people Their service is top notch and better than most places in Miami. There is not much ambiance, it's sort of a cafeteria in a strip mall, but I can get passed it. The food is worth it. read more

I been eating pho for at least 40 years and it's one of my favorite meals. This is the first time I visit a Vietnam restaurant in Florida and wow what a surprise it's one of the best in my whole life. They even add to the soup a little leaf that I never had with pho before. I was urged by a coworker to come here and finally made my way to Pho 79 for some awesome soup. This restaurant located on us-1 is in a VERY busy shopping center. I actually am not a fan of this shopping mall because there is rarely parking. However I Waac so lucky to find one and made my way inside. I was immediately greeted in the front and seated. I had never been here so I had no idea what to get. But since this place IS called Pho I went with that. Ended up getting the Pho ga which is chicken soup essentially. Got it with zucchini noodles which is a small up charge to keeping it healthy. Absolutely delicious! The portion was great and I had lots of veggie options to add to the soup. Broth was delicious. This place is great! My boyfriend and I have eaten at Pho 79 by FIU for multiple times and love it but the Pho 79 in Pinecrest is 10x better. The chili oil is amazing, the broth is sooo flavorful and the service is great. We always order the #26, which has beef with a slight fat trim (trust me, it's the way to go), but the pics attached have a beef rib pho included, too. I would recommend the regular lemonade because it's made fresh daily and/or the passion fruit boba smoothie. Both drinks are refreshing and pair wonderfully with the soup. I could write 10 pages on how much I love this place, but it's best if you just go try it! :) read more

My dad brought me here because he heard about it from a friend, this was my first time trying Vietnamese noodles and I have to say it was pretty good! Something different forsure, I got the chicken noddle soup one and it came with a side of veggies (cilantro, green sprouts etc) to add to your soup. I do have to say it didn't really taste like anything not sure if they don't add any seasoning or what but once I added some lemon and spicy sauce it taste way better. Definitely good and interesting, I would go and give it a try if you're looking for something different to experience. read more

Yes, this Pho 79 in Pinecrest is run by the same owners that own the FIU and Davie locations, but you can't tell by the signage, decor, and menus. This place looks nothing like the other two. I usually go to the Pho 79 near FIU since it's closer to me, but I must say that this Pinecrest location has a much nicer ambiance while the service is more relaxed and not as rushed. If you're familiar with this area, you might remember that this location was home to the pricey and mediocre Miss Saigon. So let's just say that this has been a welcome change. And if you missed Miss Saigon, you can now find them in Coral Gables. Anyhow, my Sapporo Light beer was just $4.95 and I ordered the large pho (#34) which came with meatballs, tendons, and many types of beef. The pho prices are based on size: $10.95 Small $11.95 Medium $12.95 Large They also serve traditional appetizers, rice dishes, vermicelli noodle dishes, and more. I'm very likely to come back here when in the area. Highly recommend for pho in Miami. read more

In the menu they have a grilled tofu banh mi. So I would say yes. But maybe call to find out for sure. I'm not big on vegetables so, banh me=not for me

No its not. I'm vietnamese and can easily tell the difference between the pho at the Pho 79 in Davie and FIU and the one in Pinecrest. Also the menu at Pinecrest is more expensive.
