The food is delicious. Came here with our newborn and husband for some pho. Pho was fantastic and the food came out fast. We ordered some egg rolls but they weren't that great. It wasn't seasoned properly and probably the first time I didn't finish egg rolls. Took off a star because they don't seem to have ac. It was a really hot day and we were literally sweating sitting there eating our food. I saw a standing fan but they didn't have it on. Maybe that was broken too? I saw lots of people walk in and out with takeout. I realized they were onto something. Next time we will order take out from here or come during the winter if we decide to dine in. read more

Tried this hole in the wall for the first time today. My review below: Pros: - The owner, I assume, was nice and attentive - Food was decent, not outstanding. I ordered the shrimp drunken noodles and my wife ordered the chicken green curry. We also had the chicken spring rolls. - price was average Cons: - Service was not great. I ordered shrimp drunken noodles and got chicken instead. Didn't bother complaining bc I didn't realize it until I was half way done and my wife finally said something. Server never asked for drinks. Owner finally noticed and got them for us. Wife's food came out after I was half way done. - Food: The chicken spring rolls rice wrap was chewy. It's not supposed to be. - Interior: Very depressing. For some reason each light had a dead fluorescent bulb which made the place kind of dim. It was kind of smoky also. Tables and plates were sticky. If I were to eat here again I would get it to go. Oh wow, I had to go to Barlett to get some work done and thanks for fellow yelpers again. I ordered drunken noodles with shrimp, chicken fried rice and hot chicken wings to go. The portion of the dishes were decent and the food were tasty. The lady who took my orders was nice. Didn't rush me or anything. This restaurant has one of my all time favorite dishes. The Masaman Curry peanut Soup is so good I still drive from midtown to Bartlett JUST to order two orders of masaman to go. As other to reviews note they have changed their name from Noodle Star to Pho 64. The owner told me this was due to the confusion with a new place that opened nearby named Noodle something also. To go orders were getting confused. It is exactly the same place in all ways and it is still fantastic. All curries are great, the Pho is incredible. The red curry with fish is one of my favorites. The coconut curry soup is a great starter. Bo Bun Hu is very spicy and on the money. I've eaten at a lot of Vietnamese places in other cities that are supposed to be great or famous and have never found one that was better. Never even found one as good. Maybe the best food to be found in Memphis. read more

Very fresh and delicious food in here. A casual hole in the wall atmosphere with great food. I usually get the Curry Tofu Vegetable plate which comes out amazing. You get a very large amount of food here all cooked when ordered, and with great flavor. One of the best curry plates I've had. Although a little costly for a lunch menu it's worth being out of pocket for this place. I highly recommend Pho 64. read more

I couldn't believe how bad this was. I ordered egg rolls. There were four spring rolls fried to a crisp, no detectable filling served with a clear liquid to dip them in that had no flavor. My husband got shrimp pad Thai Not that big a portion, again no flavor. I ordered shrimp with udon noodles, no flavor. We both poured hoisen sauce all over our meals hoping for flavor. Mine was swimming in liquid. The bottles of sauce on the table were so filthy your hand stuck to it. The tops were corroded with dried sauce. I would never eat here again. We both left hungry. Mouths felt like they had a slick of grease coating. Had to get something to drink to wash the nasty taste away. Don't eat here! read more

I loved this place when it was named Star Noodle, and I love it just as much now. I ordered the sliced beef pho to go, and I was super impressed when I got back home. The noodles, beef, and various toppings were packed with care in a separate container from the broth, and the beef was still raw!!! They even included a little container of hoisin sauce for me. Once I heated the broth back up, assembled my pho, and got it set up just the way I like it, it was a-freaking-mazing. Best pho I've had in a loooooong time. The Pho here is great, and the lemongrass tofu is something very special. I've been to all of the usually recommended Vietnamese restaurants in Memphis, and this would be my new favorite. Admittedly, there have been a few of the other dishes that were hit and miss (e.g. Pork chops, tempura, beef), but if you stick to the recommended Vietnamese dishes on the menu, especially any of the Pho, you can't go wrong in this place. Um...I don't think so. My partner returned from the restroom saying, "let's go, this place is a dump." i have to say the atmosphere was a bit stark and cold and empty and quiet as a library. Mystified why the reviews are so good. I had high hopes and they were soon dashed with the look of the place and the taste of the food. Ordered the hot tea and two orders of the chicken/shrimp spring rolls. My partner was saying his peanut sauce was sour, but I thought the springs rolls were sour. I tasted his peanut sauce and no joke, it either turned, or a high amount of vinegar was added. Bleh. The spring rolls were terrible - full of ice berg lettuce and tasteless. Left after the spring roll fiasco. Hours after, I had a nasty case of heartburn even. Don't waste your time, I don't why we did, make a bee line over to Vietnam in Midtown, now they are good!! read more

I ordered the Pad Thai with beef, and it was more on the sweet side than spicy. There isn't any heat; if you like a spicer Pad Thai, I would ask for more heat. I thought the flavor tasted like tomatoes.. Not my favorite Pad Thai I've tried in Memphis. The service, however, was excellent. There were two employees serving food and taking orders. I received my food quickly even during a busy lunch service. Next time, I would try the pho, since the Pad Thai was not my favorite. read more

Pho 64 is my go-to takeout place when I have a cold and am really craving some soup. I usually get the beef pho, and if I'm not sick, I will also get the Thai spring rolls. The soup is warm, plentiful, and delicious, and comes with all the sides you need to fancy up your pho (Thai basil, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and lime wedges). Every table also has hoisin, soy sauce, and chili sauces. I am happy to have Pho 64 to go to, since it's much closer to my house than Pho Binh (my other fav) and just as good! read more
