Food is really good. Worth a stop if you like pho. Only downside is no free refills on soda, as they use cans, but otherwise good price for a great bowl. read more

I was going to leave a scathing review.... But the manager here completely rectified the situation. I ended up receiving the wrong order tonight and was originally told by one of the owners I couldn't have the order fixed (cause they were closed) and I couldn't have a refund. Turned into a whole thing.... Shortly after I received a call from another owner (the son Phillip) and as mentioned, he completely fixed the situation. My family and I have owned and ran many businesses over the years so I appreciate good service as much as I hate bad.... I hope your parents know how much of an asset you are to their establishment. You convinced me to try this place again. read more

We love Pho 544! Staff is great and pho hits the spot every time. This is our go to for comfort soup.

Very good pho chicken, the chicken was cut too large for me, smaller pieces would have been better but very tasty.

This was not great. Pho broth was average and a bit greasy. Ribeye was fatty and grisly. Cannot recommend a Pho place that cannot make an excellent Pho. Too bad as the great Pho places are not close. read more

Oh my goodness this place is amazing!! Fresh fresh fresh every is quality abs yummy!!

Best pho I've had a Texas quick service great prices and very clean. Non-traditional fried rice, but I definitely get that every time I go.

The food is consistently good. We grab take out if we work late from here maybe once a month. Good grub

I came here upon a recommendation of a friend, who frequents here often. This restaurant is like any traditional Vietnamese restaurant, with a wide variety of items like pho, vermicelli, rice plates and drinks. Menu items are associated with letters/numbers, in which Ali Wong has said that is an indicator of being a legitimate Vietnamese restaurant. On each table, there are condiments, soup spoons, chopsticks and napkins ready to be used. The space is very large and clean. It felt like coming to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant back home in California. I would have went with the classics, but I went with the shaken beef garlic noodle special that is not on the menu officially just yet but I have found out about through their IG feed. What I liked about their version is that the noodles were made well and had a slight crisp to it. The garlic flavor was strong, which I liked. Also, the shaken beef came in a pretty large portion, which I appreciated. Looking at the bowl, the portion may be deceiving because there is a good amount of bean sprouts underneath the noodles and beef. However, I liked having the bean sprouts but I kind of wished there were more noodles and beef instead, haha. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. I would love to come here again and try more dishes, especially the bun as it is one of my favorite entrees ever. Enjoy! read more

Mmmm!! Very satisfied. From other reviews, I decided to get the House Pho and the broth truly was SO good. I drank it all! I also chose the Shaken beef Garlic Noodles... oh man. So it doesn't look impressive, looks a little dry but let me tell you the noodles were so flavorful and then the meat made me moan with nearly every bite. Must get that every time! read more

I like garlic noodles, 100% recommends also they were very nice to my family, finally it was also really clean

Great place for pho! Inside, the restaurant it is bigger than it appears from outside. There are plenty of room for large parties. Food is very good and price is reasonable. read more

My daughter and I met our cousin here for lunch. The place looked like it recently opened. Service was a little slow and I wished they had a door that leads to their kitchen. All of their conversations carried into the dining area which was quite annoying because it felt like we waited forever to get their attention for simple requests. When the food arrive, we couldn't wait to dive in. First the broth - it was really good. Soup was perfect temperature and tasted wonderful. Just what I needed since I was getting cranky, lol. I ordered a large bowl of pho and notice there was not enough meat or noodles. My daughter said the same. At this point, I just hurried up and ate and figured we can go get dessert somewhere else. It was hard to flag a waiter down and I didn't feel like fighting it. Taste: 5 stars Food portions: 2.5 stars Service: 2 stars Ambience: 2 stars - it was too distracting listening to the entire kitchen staff If I lived in this area, I would definitely would order thier food to go! They have lots of room for improvement. read more

Had lunch at this restaurant, food was awesome. Recommend the P1 Pho soup, it was very tasty, great meat & veggie portions. Service was fast & friendly. Though the recent addition of restaurants to Murphy is always welcome, Pho 544 is underwhelming in it's execution. We tried the pork pastry to start, which was decent but arrived at room temperature so that the flaky, buttery crust was subdued. The service was decent, nothing exceptional. The shrimp and pork vermicelli bowl was pretty but fairly bland in taste and the vermicelli themselves left much to be desired, needing a drench from hoison and sriracha. The meatball pho wasn't very flavorful, and was mostly rice noodle (to be expected, but this feels redundant with Pho Street being less than a mile away). I like pho, but sometimes restaurants need to do something interesting. Mix it up a bit if you're not gonna have the best pho on the block read more

Probably my favorite place for Vietnamese food in the Dallas area! Im Vietnamese and I definitely know my food. Everything I tried had that "homey" taste that reminded me of my mom and grandma's cooking. Pho was excellent. Broth was rich and hearty, noodles were cooked perfectly with plenty of meat. Egg rolls were crispy and not greasy with a meaty filling. They were really hot so I appreciate that they were cooked to order. My favorite dish would probably be the shaking beef! The steak was extremely tender and so flavorful! Can't wait to explore the rest of the menu! read more

Wonderful food and a friendly staff. The pho ga is very good. The chef is quite a nice woman.

Went for the Bo Ne! It was as good as everyone said it was. Love having the Vietnamese coffee served the traditional way. The Shaken Beef fries are definitely almost a must! Got it after I saw it brought to someone else's table. read more

Pho is legit. Bo luc lac with the fried egg on point!!! Had to admit, I did not have high hopes for a pho spot in Murphy but boy was I wrong. Pho was actually good!! They gave me some juicy fatty pieces of brisket (my faves!!), plenty 'o meatballs and raw eye round. I specifically asked for the raw meat on the side because I like to put limes, jalapeños, Siracha and hoisin sauce and eat it raw with my pho. They delivered on this request no questions asked with a generous helping of it! YUMMO!! When I ask for this at other places, most of the waiters and waitresses are perplexed. These guys knew exactly what I was talking about. Love it! Bo luc lac stole the show! I never get his dish but when I saw fried egg on the side I had to do it for the Gram. Meat was tender and had a really good umami flavor. YUMMO. Egg properly fried. Nice and oily. Ha Will def be back. New fave spot. They also open super early for those who get up around 8am and are starving like me. Go here! read more

This place deserves more than 5 stars. The customer service alone is exceptional. I was very impressed with the surf and turf garlic noodles and how authentic and flavorful the pho broth was. Definitely coming back to try the bo ne steak and eggs next time! read more

Upon visiting friends and family, we stopped by Pho 544 for lunch only to be disrupted whilst eating and hearing the clicks nail clippers. Now, are we at a nail salon or restaurant? Needless to say, it was absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. What was particularly disturbing is that our table was right next to the cash register where the 2 employees were clipping their nails. read more

Ever since I've moved to Dallas I've been searching for a good bowl of pho. Thankfully I found a place to satisfy my cravings! We've ordered the dry pho, the shaken beef garlic noodles (btw not on the menu), shaken beef fries, a large pho, and two Vietnamese coffee Pros: - the Pho is southern style so the broth is savory and more richer then northern pho - there are lots of vegetables to balance out the dish. There's cabbage and bean sprouts under the garlic noodles and the dry pho - the shaken beef is very flavorful and tender - the French fries are very crispy and complimented the beef Cons: - maybe it's just me but I felt that both the pho's had WAY too much noodles -the fries is kinda a time sensitive food, if left out too long it absorbs the oil and is kinda gross Overall, the cooking here gives me a very nostalgic vibe and I will return to try the other menu items. read more

From looking at their posts of their dishes on IG, I was excited to try them out driving about 40 mins to get there. However I must admit I wasn't too impressed to be brutally honest. I had the expensive beef and lobster dish which was really dry noodles, no sauce. However they had some really great sauce on an appetizer I had that I recommended to the chef to put that sauce on this dish to make it more appetizing. I have to deduct points for that. Everything else was about average on flavor profiles. When left I didn't get that burning sensation to come back that you normally get when a restaurant's flavor profiles woo you. I hate to mention this but I had to walk to the counter to get water after asking for a refill repeatedly and I never got the sauce I asked for to enhance the flavor of the star dish. To his defense, the owner was real welcoming and served with a smile, which is a plus but not enough to retain customers. At the end of the day, whatever comes out on the plate HAS to be good. If this place is serious about their customers, if they address these issues, I may consider coming back. When you spend your hard earned money, you expect great food and service in return. read more

Wow... I was driving through Murphy and noticed there was a Pho restaurant that we saw off the street. So, we walked in with extremely low expectations, but to our surprise the food and flavors were all extremely authentic! The service was on point and the owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Pho Tai Bo Vien and the Shaken Beef. The Pho broth was so clean and rich. I was not expecting to have this kind of broth out here, but they found a need for the city and fulfilled it and raised the bar on authentic Vietnamese food. The shaken beef (bo luc lac) was super tender and flavorful! Pro tip, make sure you order a fried egg! This tasted just like how my family would make it at home and it hit the spot. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and I I will definitely be back to try out their other items. Good job, y'all and thank you for bringing a great restaurant to Murphy! read more

Love that there are more tasty Asian food options near the East Plano/Murphy area! Super convenient for us who live out in the burbs. Atmosphere: Restaurant design is simple and very open/spacious with lots of seating. My toddler loved running around. It may have been the hot soup I had and the hot weather out, but a/c could have been a little cooler inside. Service: Looks like there were a few mixed reviews from other yelpers, but keep in mind they just opened and working out the kinks when busy! However, I went on a Wednesday night, so service was GREAT. Pricing was affordable. Waiter was super friendly and helpful and food came out super fast, which is perfect for people with toddlers and quick weeknight dinners. Food: Menu had a nice variety, but not too overwhelming, so it was very easy to follow! I went with my sister and we shared the 1) beef pho with bo vien, gau, tai 2) com bo luc lac (shaken beef) and 3) flan. All were delish! Pho had great flavor and plenty of meat and noodles. Loved that they had kid size options. Shaken beef was also very tasty...I loved all the minced garlic. Flan was creamy, rich and smooth. We were so stuffed! Looking forward to coming back to try other menu items! read more

I placed a to-go order for a large chicken (white meat) pho, add veggies, and an order of spring rolls. I received the equivalent of most restaurants' small bowl. Sliced chicken breast, unflavored, and a small amount of noodles in the container with some onions. No veggies. The flavor of the broth was ok, a little heavy on the lemongrass, but since the chicken was basically boiled dry, it didn't help much. The spring rolls contained unflavored pork and shrimp and came with the palest peanut sauce I've ever seen. It was actually more flavorful than I expected with its coloring. But the pork was just as dry as the chicken. Edit: To clarify, I liked the peanut sauce. I was surprised at how light in color it was and the fact that it was warm, but it grew on me and was probably my favorite thing about the meal. read more

I had been waiting for this place to open for awhile because it is right by my house, so I wouldn't have to go far for my pho fix. I have been here twice. The first time was grand opening day then i came back a week later. Both times I came with my boyfriend. The first time we both got pho. I got a small beef meatball pho and my boyfriend got the pho with steak and brisket. I definitely enjoyed the pho. The broth was flavorful and delicious. And the meatballs did not taste like rubber like some restaurants which I appreciated. My boyfriend enjoyed his pho but the brisket had a good amount of fat on it which he didn't like. The second time we came I got the rice plate with grilled pork and shrimp and my boyfriend jyst got the pho with steak. My boyfriend's pho only had like 3 pieces of small steak in it so the meat to noodle ratio was a bit off. The shrimp on my rice dish was undercooked and almost raw so I had to request for shrimp that was cooked. I overall enjoyed my rice dish but there were definitely some kinks that need to be fixed. This place is fairly new and they are still working out all the issues. The owner was doing whatever he could to help make the customers happy and fix any mistakes so I give this place a 100 for service and effort. I will def be back after they have worked out the kinks. read more

Pho 544 - Rice plate with grilled pork and shrimp - Vietnamese Near Me - Murphy, Texas

we live in Allen and heard people raved about this place and decided to check out but it was disappointing. We ordered pho, rice combo, bo luc lac, and thai basil fishsauce wings(drumette). Pho broth look just plain beef broth, it didn't have any oily fat. Rice combo and bo luc lac were okay nothing to brag about. Fishsauce drumettes were wings cut in half and very dry. Didn't look appetizing at all and have no taste. It was like a left over wings they refried and pour fishsauce (actual pure fishsauce) and garnished with fresh Thai basils. Nothing special about the place. If you are around the place and crave Vietnamese food give it a try but not worth the time to drive from another town. read more

We frequent this place often as it is very difficult to find a good pho restaurant. If you're Asian, then you know what I'm talking about. The last couple of times was very disappointing, but today is the day that I've decided will be the last time my family and I will be dining here. They handed my 3 year old nephew a dirty bowl, the spoons were even dirty. We didn't make it a big deal but still wiped it down with water and a napkin. After a couple of sips of my drink, I felt it necessary to examine my cup as well because of how unsanitary this place has become, and noticed the inside of it had an unidentified residue around the rim. I alerted the lady who brought out our food and voiced my concerns rather than causing a scene in front of other customers who were already eating. I explained everything that she had given us was filthy and dirty, down to the canned drinks that we also had to clean before pouring it into a cup. She proceeded to "fix" the issue by replacing my drink but still handed me a new canned soda with pieces of dirt and crumbs on top. I looked at her like "Are you serious?!" I know it's not a language barrier when I'm visually showing her the dirty cup. Do your staff not check the dishes or utensils before putting it out for customers?! Very disturbing and I needed to see this for me to warn other diners to drive pass, and do not think twice to eat here. Please go else where. read more

Honestly one of the most authentic pho places in the area (great flavor broth, but a little bland), but does not give you enough for the price you pay. Does not give you enough meat, and although the large bowl seems large, they definitely did not put a large portion's worth in the bowl. Large bowls at other places leave me full and sometimes I can't even finish, but this bowl was definitely not that size. Also, I find it weird that they close early... if you plan on making a trip here, plan ahead. 4 stars just because it's next to my house and has a great flavor and the meat balls in the pho are great. But other than that, I am often in the Garland area with authentic pho places that serve a lot more. Pro tip: if you've never had pho at an authentic pho place, they seat you informally and you have to go up to the register to pay. read more

It was just ok to me. I've had better pho. Apparently, people love this place. It was crowded as usual, but it's still just OK to me. Now, I tell ya this.... the fries topped with beef and some kinda yellow sauce was absolutely delicious. Honey, I'd go back for that dish any day. read more

Broth tasted funky today. A bit sour, but not the kind with lime or lemon. I had to squeeze all the lime juice in and put all the basil in, plus add salt and pepper to mask that off tasting soup base in the pho today. Afraid to come back anymore. read more

This is our first time to Pho 544 and it really hit the spot. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the A2 Shrimp rolls for appetizer and they were very fresh and tasty. We both ordered the P2 Pho Tai rate steak. It came out steaming and hot. I really enjoyed the flavor of the broth but the Hubs mentioned it was a little bland. It was missing a little something something. I know we've had Pho at other places and the broth was more rich and flavorful but overall Pho 544 was great and hit the spot.
