We wanted to try the new pho spot although our favorite is real pho across the street. Price: It is extremely pretty and fancy inside. Pho starts at $7.99 I do find it odd that this is the first place I've been to that charges a different price for brisket $8.29 which sucks. $7.50-8 is a typical standard for pho in places I've been to. Taste: nice sweet beef broth with great amount of meat and lots of noodles. Came here with my family and pretty happy with our dinner. I can tell it was a busy night for the staff because I saw them dart back and forth between the front and back. Nonetheless they treated us well and we didn't have any issues with wait or not being seen by them. I had the orange chicken which was great and my family had pho also really good. Growing up Asian with experience eating at various Vietnamese restaurants, I have to say that I was disappointed. We placed an order to go, 2 grilled shrimp plates,1 sesame chicken plate and 1 beef and mushroom plate. 2 of the plates we requested fried rice. They were literally FRIED rice (rice fried light brown).The portions were disappointing for what we paid. The flavor was eh, ok...nothing special. On the positive note, service was good. We ordered strawberry boba and taro boba, they were both good. They offer a military discount. I really wanted to like this place. We will go back to give it a second chance only because they just recently opened. Maybe once they settle in things will get better??? I had the seafood pho. It was delicious! The broth was rich and full of flavor. It was full of shrimp, fish, crab and rice noodles. It also came with a side of jalapenos, bean sprouts, basil, cilantro you can add in separately. I had a ton of pho leftover. My son had the sesame chicken with broccoli. He loved it. The service was quick around 1pm. I ordered shrimp summer rolls, which rivaled the ones at my favorite pho restaurant. Before I finished the summer rolls, my server brought me out a steaming bowl of steak and brisket pho, which I was pleased to receive so quickly! The broth by itself is nice and has a somewhat sweet flavor which I found pleasant. However, there's zero spice at all, which is definitely my thing. No worries, they have the necessary side add ons to get you your fix if you so desire, with the exception of chili sauce, which shocked me. Also be forewarned: they're quite sparing with their basil jalapenos and bean sprouts. However by request they brought me more than enough jalapenos to please my taste buds' pain threshold. Although I could've used more noodles, I thoroughly enjoyed the cook on the ones I got. I really wish pho restaurant would let me order extra like at the ramen spots! Nonetheless, I think that pho 4u is definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. They're definitely in my top three spots for pho in San Antonio. For now.... This restaurant has been my favorite Pho restaurant for years. We have always received excellent food, both dining in and taking out. We love the pho and the shrimp summer rolls. They use slightly less shrimp now in the rolls, but they are still delicious. I admit we were shocked to have heard of the poor review and temp shut-down. However, the place has always appeared clean and well-kept to us. If anything, we are even more confident now, as they had to correct all issues and they are very aware of what can happen if they slip in any way. Again though, we have never had a bad meal here. On cold Winter nights, you can't go wrong with some pho. This was the first place in San Antonio that I've tried pho from, and I have to say that I'm happy I did. The customer service is nice, and the location is perfect. They are right next to HEB on Potranco and they share the same huge parking lot. My husband has come here 4 times and each time he's had something different. He's a hard guy to please, so to have him come home and say how happy he was, said something. I like to get their beef pho (steak, meatball, and brisket) and it has such rich flavor! The broth is very clean, which leads me to believe that they are doing their pho correctly. I've had bad experiences before with restaurants not making their pho correctly, and you can tell. But I know for certain, that this is not the case here. We love not only Vietnamese Pho soup but some of the regular entrees as well - Pho 4u doesn't disappoint. As far as strip mall Vietnamese Pho restaurants go this is clean and service is excellent. We've been several times each time trying different foods from the menu. The ginger beef might just be my favorite. I also like the Pho with rib-eye slices. We've tried a few of the starters as well and they are good but for me the ginger'd beef takes the spotlight. I appreciate they honor first responders and military with a discount - very kind and generous. Good for small groups and any age this is an easy recommendation. read more

We've been to Pho4U twice and had great experiences both times. Our wait person was fantastic - even though we'd only been there once before, she remembered us and asked if we wanted unsweetened tea again! She also remembered that we wanted chopped peanuts on the side. Impressive! The first time we ate there I had the noodle bowl with shrimp and veggies and loved it. The second time I thought I'd try the pho for which the restaurant is named, but once we were there I just had to have their noodles again. This time I got it with tofu, which was wonderful - crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Again, the noodles were piping hot, but somehow the accompanying veg salad of lettuce, sprouts, cucumber, and carrots was cool and crispy and not wilted at all. This place I'm sorry to say is no, service is slow, food is just okay and sorry but will not return. First time coming the fried my spring rolls in the plastic wrapping forgetting to unwrap before dropping in the fryer. Second time ordered the Shaking Beef did not look anything like the yelp or menu pictures. Had a bed of lettuce with beef on top but the kicker they pour Italian dressing over the lettuce and beef like it was a salad. Not good at all, asked for a to go plastic container for Pho brought me a styrofoam drinking cup with lid like I ordered a drink to go. I wish y'all the best but pho food is not your thing. The service is really good, the place has a mellow vibe. We were a little shy at first, this being our first time at Pho 4 U. We were greeted immediately. Were told that we could have a seat wherever we'd like. The server was friendly and patient. We did not wait too long for our food. The server brought out generous sized bowls of pho and servings of orange chicken. We noticed that our order of lumpia was taking a while, and asked about it.
