I should have turned around and walked out when I saw the 73 C rating at the door. We sat there at our table and contemplated whether or not to stay or leave. We opted to stay because our daughter loves Pho Noodle soup. Anyway, my lemongrass chicken had hair in it. The manager came to the table to look and insisted that it was not hair. Ok...whatever. He took the plate and brought out another plate. Everything was cool. Right? Well, fast forward about 10 minutes later. The bill came and we paid. The server came back to the table with the check and no credit card. They swore up and down that we had the card. Although, they continued looking for it. The card wasn't found. My man called the bank to cancel the card while still we were still sitting there. The cashier came to the table to look for the card and then we asked for the manager. She called out to the manager in Vietnamese and he said something back to her in Vietnamese to which she advised he said he was eating. Mind you, he was on the phone with the bank customer rep at the same time and she overheard her telling my man that the manager could not come to the table because he was eating. Anyway, the bank customer rep put in for the charge to be reversed and cancelled the card. We packed up our leftovers and proceeded to leave. The cashier then asked for his phone number just in case the card was found. Oh!! I forgot to tell you that she did come to our table with somebody else's card to ask if that one was ours. As we drove off, I saw the manager step outside into the parking lot. I guess he had finished his food by then. Humph....Anyway, not two minutes after pulling off, the cashier called to advise the card was "found" in the cash register. We turned around to go back to the restaurant and the manager insisted that my man sign the receipt to which he refused. I mean, for what?!? He asked the manager what he was going to do to make the situation better. I mean, he could have credited the bill with something. Right? The manager refused and told him that he was going to call the police. Anyway, my man still refused to sign the receipt, told him to keep the card and walked out. He did not see the need to sign it. I mean, they already had their money until the bank reverses it for their terrible service. When we pulled off, the manager gave the cashier a cell phone to take a picture of our car. Ten minutes after leaving, a police officer called. He just explained the situation to the officer and that was that. I'm assuming the officer was just taking a report but honestly, what's the point?! It's not like we did a dine and dash. Payment was approved and paid. It was verified with the bank while we were still in the restaurant. He advised the bank that charge was legit and THEN cancelled the card so they can't say that we refused payment. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to my enemy. The service was mediocre. The food was ok. The management was TERRIBLE. I give this place a F for FAILURE to please customers. Fail....fail.....fail. Terrible! I'm still in shock at how things went down. We will never return to Pho 24 in Buford, GA next to the Mall of Georgia. Terrible service! read more
