I've been to Pho 24 twice for their pho, and both times it's been really good. My go-to is the seafood pho with beef broth. I originally planned to order the veggie pho, but during my first visit the waiter recommended the seafood pho with beef broth instead, and I'm glad I listened. I'm not really a big beef eater, but on my second visit I ordered a side of beef strips (can't remember the exact name), and they were really tender and paired well with the broth. Could be better, could be worse. Vietnamese cuisine is one of my favorites, and this Pho location ranks on the lower end of places I've eaten that serve Vietnamese dishes. You'll always catch me ordering Bún Tôm Thịt Nướng Chả Giò (please forgive me if I made a mistake!) or a grilled pork, shrimp, and egg roll vermicelli noodle bowl. This locations pork tasted rubbery and just got fresh, but the other ingredients were good. Great fish sauce! The limeade was delicious, no free refills, which was a bummer because they packed it with ice, but it was yummy. I also paid $15 for my bowl, I haven't paid that amount for a vermicelli bowl in years. We stopped by Pho 24 in Buford for lunch. It's located in a pretty busy mall area with plenty of shared parking, so it can get crowded but still manageable. The service was quick and friendly. We also tried the banh mi, shrimp fried rice, and fresh shrimp rolls. The banh mi had good flavor but was way too spicy for me, more than I expected. The shrimp fried rice and rolls were okay, nothing bad but nothing memorable either. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're craving pho in the Buford area and want quick service in a casual setting. As someone that has been eating Vietnamese food and been to Vietnam multiple times, I've seen it all. This restaurant is often empty for a reason. I can forgive the restaurant walls, floors, and kitchen being dirty, but the dishes are not even clean. If the food was delicious, I could then forgive the dishes being dirty, but the food we had was reheated, bland, and very oily. Meat reheated into a rubbery texture, watered down sauces, and refried oily chicken. Honestly, it was disturbing. Great Pho in the Mall of Georgia area in Buford. The interior restaurant decor is what you would expect. The service is frequent and courteous. A1 Fried egg rolls are a delicious starter. P1 Tender Beef and P10 Chicken Noodle Soup are hot, fulfilling, and full of flavor. The parking lot was clean and there were lots of parking spaces. We were seated right away and orders were taken about 5 mins later. The restaurant and restrooms were also clean and the staff was really attentive. I've been fasting all day and was pretty hungry. Good thing I ordered the brisket and flank pho bowl in small. We usually already have low expectations when trying out pho spots because we do have a favorite and we weren't disappointed. The pho wasn't bad but it def didn't hit the spot. Not really flavorful needed salt. Tasted a bit like it was watered down. Broth was pretty and clear making for good pictures. I'm picky with my noodles as well so this is a me thing. The noodles in my opinion were probably flashed cooked too long. They were breaking in the soup. By the time I was done, I was using a spoon to get the rest of the noodles which there weren't a lot of to begin with. Even in the xl portion. Didn't lack on fresh herbs and veges so appreciated that but the only condiments provided were hoisen and Sriracha. No salt, pepper, fish sauce, chili oil.. which the soup really needed. The fresh shrimp rolls is a nice way to start a lunch or dinner. It's light and refreshing. I also got a medium P15! I do love a simple broth that's very flavorful. They were quite busy, so you know everyone loves this spot. The owner/manager was very nice and friendly to everyone, which I enjoyed seeing. The only reason I give them a 4 star is because their service was not the best. It tasted good, but not as flavorful as sandwiches I've had elsewhere. The staff were quite loud, joking and laughing with each other across the restaurant, which was kind of rude. Yummy but unethical. We love the food here and have been a few times. However today we came with 5 adults and two babies. We only ordered 5 meals total. Our waitress only took our order and never asked if we were doing ok, never gave refills, and never even had to revisit our table again after our initial order was fulfilled. When we went up to the front to pay she informed us that she would be adding a 20% gratuity due to us being a "large party". To my knowledge this only happens with truly large parties (10+), and the amount (or lack of) service we received did NOT warrant a 20% tip especially considering the high prices of food here. Portion's we're very generous and tasted awesome. Soup base had rich flavor but not greasy. Asked for extra vegetables and our server was very pleasant and accommodating. Even asked if we'd like our bean sprouts steamed. That was big plus. Assessing that most of their customers were Asian tells me this has found favor of Asian palettes including myself- Korean. Their Pho was bland. Many years of eating Vietnamese food. Service is almost nonexistent, and it took almost 30 minutes for our 2 bowls with not alot of ingredients: beef, tripe, and flank steak. On a Saturday afternoon with only 4 other tables seated, this was immediately a bad choice. It was my buddy's idea since he saw it was a Pho place. Like other reviews stated, it was dark inside, none of the workers smiled and was just a sad environment. I don't really like providing bad reviews, but I was that annoyed. Save your time and money.
