I was really disappointed with ATL Pho. The food was bad from start to finish. I ordered the pho with rare steak and meatballs. The noodles were soggy, and the broth was oily while somehow still lacking flavor. The rare steak had a mushy texture, and the meatballs were even worse. I almost always like meatballs, so for them to stand out in a bad way says a lot. They were soft, mushy, and just not enjoyable. The egg rolls were also disappointing. They weren't crispy and had no real crunch to them. The filling wasn't very flavorful either, making them taste stale and bland. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The service was great, but unfortunately the food quality didn't come close to matching it. Yay, a decent pho restaurant in Lilburn! They offer 3 sizes for pho -- small, medium, and large. I've ordered both the medium and large before. Both sizes are generous with noodles and soup. I've made the mistake of ordering a large for takeout and not having a big enough bowl for it at home. I've only tried the pho but would love to try out some of their rice dishes or banh mj. We have been to Atl Pho several times; it is the closest Vietnamese restaurant near our house. The staff here has always been extremely friendly. One time during our visit the owner's daughter (or granddaughter) actually played with my kids while we all waited for our food. The food came out fast and everything was really good. Their spring rolls (shrimp) are very good. The peanut sauce is great. The honeydew boba tea is pretty good, not perfect, but good. If you love Pho, I'd definitely recommend coming here. Maybe I should've ordered pho instead, but I was very disappointed with my visit here. My friend and I were just craving Vietnamese food one day, so we stopped by ATL Pho for a quick lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated very quickly that I thought service was going to be amazing. But once we ordered and got our food, we weren't checked on again. Not even once. Not even to give us to go boxes or our checks. We had to go to the register for that. Even the food was unimpressive. As a Vietnamese, I didn't think you could mess up Vietnamese food. My friend ordered a rice with beef dish while I ordered the Bun Tom Thit Nuong. Her dish was very bland. It looked amazing by sight, but it didn't taste flavorful at all. My dish was exactly what I wanted in terms of food and flavor of the meat, but I definitely could've used some fish sauce or even any kind of sauce for the rest of my dish. It as well tasted more on the bland side. But also, how do you eat bun without any kind of sauce? I kept wanting to ask for some, but nobody ever came to our table or to check on us. I will say that their portion sizes are great and prices are comparable to other restaurants for these dishes. However, I was very displeased and will more than likely drive somewhere further for Vietnamese food next time. My family and I love pho! We have been all over Gwinnett to find the perfect spot and we think we finally found it. It's not just the perfect broth but the service is so rare amongst other Pho places. The constant check-in , the quality and quantity are perfect. The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for a cozy dine in. Not the fanciest of places but does that really matter in the end? We care for food and service and ATL Pho exceptionally provides both. If you have your spot out of plenty that's fine but this one is what we call home. Stopped by for lunch. I ordered the large pho tai bo vien. My friend ordered the grilled pork rice platter and com chien bo luc lac (shaking beef with fried rice). My friend let me try the shaking beef, it was flavorful. The broth for the pho is more rich than the i luv pho in snellville. The meatballs were fresh. The thinly slice rare steak was at the perfect level of rarity. It came with beansprouts and basil and no culantro :( Overall, the broth is about 3/5, the rest are 4/5. It was a good lunch and we didn't have to go far. The service was prompt and the food came out fairly quick. Not a bad place for lunch, but definitely not the best pho place in Atlanta. Previously gave a 5 star rating. What happened ATL Pho? The hubby was in the mood for pho. So, we went back to our trusted pho spot. I ordered the "soup with blood in it," which is the Bun Bo Hue. My husband and daughter got their usual. And, I told the waitress that I wanted a small side of the grilled pork, so that my 4 year old,, picky son could have that. She said "ok." The grilled pork arrived first. It was delicious, yet my son didn't like it, so I ordered h chicken nuggets anf French fries. Then, my Bun Bo Hue arrived. I immediately noticed a difference. The color was way off. It wasn't that dark, rich, reddish brown color anymore. I tasted it, and was instantly confused. My husband called over the waitress, and asked her where the blood cakes were. She said that they never had blood cakes. The devil is a lie! I said "Yes ya did." She asked how long it's been since we've been there. I told her about 2 years (.....which now, I realize, it was around 3 years. I remember going there when my son was 1 years old, and who I believe was the owner was asking about him. This place was our go to, and we were there constantly. So, the "owner?"was very familiar with us.) The waitress then said "oh, ok, I just started working here, a couple of years ago." Needless to say, I didn't eat it. I tried seasoning it with salt, pepper, hoison, and soy. But, it lacked that deep, rich feel to it. My husband got his usual, and only ate the meat out of it. He said his Pho, was missing flavor as well. My daughter tore her soup up. Ya can't go wrong with nuggets, so my son ate one of those, and brought the rest home. It was time to pay for the food, only for my husband to tell me (after the fact,) that they charged us for the full menu priced "meal " for the grilled pork. They charged as if we got the full portion, with rice and the other sides with it. All we got, was a side dish of pork, y'all. I did like their new menu. Stopped in for a bowl of Pho Ga on a Monday evening... Dining area is very large. A server came right over to seat me and hand me a menu. I looked the menu over - even though I was going to order Pho Ga. The bowl came out in short order, steaming away. The plate of aromatics/veggies was fresh and crisp. I added everything to the bowl. The flavor of the chicken broth was good. The one thing I did not like was how thick the chicken was sliced. I like the chicken to be thinly sliced - or shredded. Service was good! I was in the mood for bun and stopped here for dinner to go. I really enjoyed this meal. I got the grilled pork bun and it was delicious. Also, they didn't skimp on the quantity of meat. It was flavorful and had that wonderful grilled taste. My meal came with two spring rolls, chopped peanuts, and sliced fresh veggies (cucs and carrots). They also give you fish sauce (of course) and a spicy red sauce. The spring rolls were okay, not great. That grilled pork though! You could eat in if you wanted to. The place is spacious, but not modern or beautiful. It did not speak to my taste in terms of atmosphere. I will be returning soon to try the pho because, duh, it's in their name. This is a hidden gem in the Lilburn Norcross area. I have gone to many pho places in Atlanta, And it is very difficult to find a place that I can really enjoy. There was only one place that I really like. It was called pho#1. But unfortunately they close down years ago.Needless to say I was devastated I have no more pho place to go to until I found this place. this is the best place as close as pho#1 as I can find. And I have been exclusively going there for the past year or so , and no time have I been disappointed in the quality of the food and the taste is always excellent the price is also reasonable and the people are always friendly . this is not a chain restaurant so you feel a bit of a home cooking atmosphere. No this is not a fancy place to go to and impress your girlfriend but it is definitely the place to find soul warming food. Update: fast forward to present time (9/18) I have had less good experience with this restaurant lately. Last time I went there, I had to leave the restaurant all together because they just had nothing I wanted.. everything I ordered was "out". Solid 3.5 Average Vietnamese restaurant in a sea of Vietnamese restaurants. Atl Pho is a highly-regarded option in Lilburn that features Vietnamese dishes. It's located in the same shopping center as Nam Dae Moon, and Chick-fil-a. This use to be Pho Delight and oh boy that place was the bomb. The interior is modern, simple and bright. It's a corner store so there are lots of windows and great natural lighting. The pho here is okay. The beef is never really "rare" and I find that the soup is never hot enough. The broth is watery and doesn't taste as complex as it should. I ordered the Shaking beef that came with a scoop of rice, side salad and maybe 8 ounces of tender beef. Seasoned with pepper, marinated, and topped with sautéed onions, I was hoping I'd get the sweet and salty taste of a typical Shaking beef. I guess not. The good thing is that it was tender. Stir-Fried Egg Noodles (Mi Xao Mem): Oh and the broth is delicious. SOO FLAVORFUL. The Bun Bo Hue here is very decent and it's better than a lot of places. Overall, Atl Pho is sufficient. Inside has various tables spread out as well as a couple booths. Good for larger parties needing big tables I guess. Decor was kind of basic, pho shop, Mom and Pop kind of setup. [Service]: I would have to say it was pretty decent, though we were the only other table during our visit. So I'm not sure how it would be on a busy night if it does get busy here. [Food Highlights]: C63. Clay pot with crispy rice, fish cake, squid, shrimp, and veggies. - Not bad, but the pot doesn't come out hot enough to make the rice a tad more crispy, but that's subjective. There are a pretty good amount of seafood and veggies, especially the chopped bamboo shoots. It maybe could use a bit more shrimp, but it's decent serving size. Best pho I've had in a long time! I went for lunch during the week and was seated immediately. The waitress made sure my table wasn't near anyone else's. Some of my favorites includes the Beef Filet Mignon Pho, Special Combination Beef Pho Noodles, Special Combination Broken Rice with Shrimp, Pork Chop, and Fried Egg(G48), Crispy Egg Noodle Seafood, Spring Rolls, Shaken Beef with Fried Rice. I do recommend eating there because the food always taste better, fresh, and hot. I rarely have time and often to-go food but the consistency is different. From my experience food tends to be over cooked by the time I reach my house because the hot food is closed in a box so its kind of like being cooked in closed air. Reheating the food at home is not as good but the flavor and the quantity are the same which is the reason why I still order to-go. I noticed certain restaurants gives out less food when it is to-go orders and that is because either the to-go boxes are too small or whatever reasons. Not this restaurant. If you to-go Pho noodles soup it is a-lot of food because they only have one size for to-go orders and they fill it up full. That is one thing I like because I can share it with someone else since the portion is so big. They give plenty of sauces and fresh vegetables when you to-go the noodle soups.
