We've never had soup so thick and rice so dark for shrimp fried rice. The taste was horrible for both. (Hot and Sour Soup) Never again!

Ordered 3 times since opening. Very good so far. Let's hope they stay consistent. The char siu has been the outstanding item so far.

We where greeted and seated immediately, it wasn't crowded at all... weekday visits are always recommended, if you ask me. It was really cute, not to big or small. There is a bar style area. The seating was ok, the setup is booth style seating around the wall and single seating. The staff... though young they where all professional, respectful, and very attentive to us the customers. Now we can get into the real star of this... review, the food! Everything was delicious, no complaints at all!!! Only problem or complaint I can have(but not really) is, there was a cotton candy making machine, that wasn't working(sad face), I was wanting and ready for some footage(lol) and cotton candy.

Before I dive in, I want to point out that the ratings of this place on Google are heavily skewed…read moreas they incentivize 5-star ratings in exchange for free food (see photos). As such, the Yelp reviews are more accurate. PaoPao is a casual eatery that has both ramen selections alongside bubble tea. The space inside is nice but immediately we noted that there wasn't much privacy between tables and we could hear everyone else's conversations. I ordered the Szechuan Tofu Hot Pot. While spicy, it wasn't all too flavorful in terms of all of the ingredients in it. The price also felt a bit high as well. My partner echoed that sentiment when it came to her Black & White Tonkotsu. When we tried the boba, we enjoyed the flavor of the tea. We were immediately met with disappointment however when the actual boba was tasteless. Good texture, but quite literally tasteless. Would we come again? It certainly wouldn't be on the forefront of our minds. However with cold weather and a lack of other ramen options nearby, we may give it a shot down the road. Though I certainly feel like making the trip to Jinya would be better time spent.

My once treasured kimchi fries: still freezer burned. My once favorite bbq tofu bao: not toasted and tasted like chemicals. I stopped into Baozi Asian Street Food in Lawrenceville for the first time in several years,…read moreexpecting the same fun flavors and generous portions I remembered. What I found instead felt like a small echo of what the place used to be. The food has shrunk in size while the prices have climbed, which makes the whole experience feel out of balance. I ordered the bao because it used to be the star of the show for me. I still remember the way they were fried on one side before, with that golden crisp that added texture and soul to every bite. This time the bao arrived soft and much smaller than I remembered. The flavor was fine, but the magic was missing. It felt like the memory of a painting that has faded over time. I do want to say that the staff were kind and welcoming. They suggested a hibachi special, which I was not interested in, but they made the attempt to guide my order. Their warmth was the best part of the visit. I left with a sense of nostalgia for what used to be. Maybe the menu has evolved or costs have changed, but the experience simply did not match the picture I carried with me. I hope the place finds its rhythm again, because it once held a special spot in my rotation.

Upon arrival, there was no wait for our table. We were seated immediately Server: Linda was amazing. Very knowledgeable of the menu and had no issues going through the apps, drinks, entrees and desserts in great detail. She also had some off the menu recommendations that were very delicious. She checked on us at a steady pace but not overwhelming. Ambiance: lighting was low but table lights were available. Decor was beautiful. I do feel like some light music was missing. Since tables are a little close, it would be nice to have the music as a little distraction from close conversations with other guest. Food: the apps were delicious. We ordered seafood spring rolls, calamari and shrimp. Entrees were imperial duck and lamb chops. They were both excellent. Dessert was empanadas and ice cream. Drinks were amazing! Literally no complaints !

The lobster was a little chewy and fried hard. The green side was crispy but cooler than room temperature. The food tasted food but not worth the hype. Next time, I will grab a drink and order something different.
