Subpar pho with absolute disregard for customer safety and experience. Seconds after I got my bowl, one of the employees started mopping the floors of the entire dining area with bleach. The entire place smelled like it and I couldn't even taste the already tasteless pho. The strong odor of bleach started filling up the room and my eyes got watery. Very shortly after, I got a headache from the bleach fumes and I decided to leave immediately. NOW... the worker tells me the credit card machine isn't working. I only have card and did not bring any cash. I waited outside while leaving my card with her as she repeatedly tried to make the credit card machine work. I'm not quit sure why this is but Korean pho always taste very light to me vs the tradition Vietnamese pho (soup base) it's missing something but I can't quit pin point it so I'm just gonna say it lacks the broth flavor. I used to come here pretty often when I was younger and stopped going for awhile and tonight I remembered why. The quality dropped beyond belief. My husband and I were hungry and craving some pho. The convenience of this place is that it's opened until late. We got the summer roll & pho tai. The summer roll was actually pretty decent with the dipping sauce. The pho however was .... Barely edible. The soup was way watered down and had an aftertaste that reminded me of old raw beef. This is the way my husband described the taste: " it tasted like they cooked the pho in a used mop bucket". The broth was really good, and portion size was decent. We ordered a plate of egg rolls and two large size bowls of pho, but the waitress only brought out one small plate of the condiments (bean sprouts, sliced lime, etc). When we asked for a second plate, she seemed a bit annoyed by it and brought one out that seemed to had been left out for a while, because it looked dried out and the sprouts were pretty much brown in color. But anyway, I was tired and so I didn't feel like making a fuss.. I just ate my bowl without the fixings. The workers here seems to rush you and seems rushed themselves.. might be a cultural or language barrier thing?? I don't know.. The hot noodle soup is good for the soul! Pho 2000 is in a small strip mall on Western Avenue in Korea town. Yes, it is Korean owned and runned. They have only 15-20 things on the menu, and most of them are pho noodle broth dishes. Since the place is Korean owned, the broth is a little different than the traditional Vietnamese broth. But, it is still yummy. The Pho Dac Biet (specialty pho #1) is pretty good. It's made with the typical ingredients - well done flank & brisket, tendon, tripe, and rare beef. I like to get the rare beef on the side (uncooked so I can eat it raw). Sliced white onions with white vinegar and squeezed lime juice on the side is a MUST. (Everyone else in the place is dousing it with Siracha sauce to make like a kim chee kinda panchan side dish). The service here is a bit on the slow side. I've noticed that the wait staff really work hard to give their Korean customers A+ service, but average service to others. read more

I had my first taste of pho in the summer of 2010. For the last 9 years I've been trying pho spots here and there. Never in my 9 years of pho experience have I had anything so delicious. Their broth is to die for. I literally cried because I was overjoyed with the amazing flavor.
