I came to this restaurant under the guise that they had this boiling pot of pho which I have been interested in for a while, but the nearest one was about the same distance as this location. While I thought the pho was good, it wasn't amazing. I thought the broth was hearty though and it had everything i usually would want in a bowl of pho, but it wasn't presented in this boiling pot and that really was the whole reason for being there. The overall restaurant was good, but honestly, you have to enter the restaurant from the back, and there are a lot of things in the back that I personally wouldn't want to see. I questioned how clean it was and why you couldn't use the front door, or why it said there were no bathrooms on the premises, but then saw bathroom signs. The most off-putting is the toxic smell of purple Fabuloso and other items that were mixed together in a spray bottle and being used to clean tables after each table was cleared. Fabuloso has a strong, distinct smell, and it isn't something that I want being sprayed around me, especially when I am eating. Yes, this is a sign that they are at least cleaning, but that spray shouldn't be used to clean tables while people are eating. The food was good, but those were the issues. Would I return...probably not. There are a lot of Vietnamese places and Asian fusion places that serve pho, and I have had so many. I was intrigued by this boiling pot, which to me seemed similar to the Mexican Molcajete. I couldn't find it on the menu so I just ordered the beef pho and the pho it didn't really deliver a robust flavor for me. First time dining in at Pho 2 To restaurant and the experience was great. We were a party of four and we were seated right away. The table we sat in had plenty of space for all of our entrees. The customer service was nice and the food tasted better than we expected. We had our Vietnamese friend order everything so I don't really know the names but I highly recommend the combo for 2-3 it comes with various veggies and meat that you can make your own rolls. We also ordered the special combination pho that was served on a hot stone bowl, and it was enough meat for all of us to share and bring home some leftovers for our dogs. Stopped in for lunch and this place is so cute inside! Love the decor, lanterns, and seating. The food was also really good! I got noodles, my husband got wings, and we also got pork rolls. I came here because it came highly recommended to me, especially by my Vietnamese friends, so I was really looking forward to it. I even chose this spot to take my sister-in-law out for a nice lunch after her wedding. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being a bit underwhelming. We started with the eggrolls, and they were disappointing right away... not crispy and not served hot. The presentation also felt lacking; I was expecting a bit more care (even something as simple as lettuce on the side would've helped). I also ordered the bún thịt nướng, which was just okay. Nothing particularly stood out, and it didn't quite live up to the hype I had heard. Service was decent, but not very attentive.. we had to flag someone down both to place our order and to get the bill, which took away from the overall experience a bit. The server even told the whole table to total amount, instead of just asking who's taking care of the bill. I laughed cause I've never had that happen before lol. I'll be honest, I felt a little embarrassed since I had talked this place up so much beforehand. That said, I don't think it was a bad experience... just one that didn't meet expectations. If you're on Mills and craving pho, this place has the best broth in the area in my opinion. The flavor is incredible--rich, clean bone broth that somehow feels both hearty and light at the same time. The portions are generous and the prices are great, but the real star is their stone bowl pho. You get a huge spread of meats, fresh noodles, and the bowl keeps the broth piping hot the entire time. I didn't like that it came with mushrooms and bell peppers but I fault myself for not asking my server to specify what veggies it came with. Though, it'd be helpful if they listed it on the menu. The food and service were very good here. I thought we were trying out a new place, but it turned out. We had been there before just not parked in the same area or walked through the same part of the restaurant so it looked very different. I think last time we came in through a different door or another part of the restaurant. They have several pages of menu to look through with so much food that looks like it probably tastes amazing. We had our normal thing which is the pho. The broth was very flavorful and I love that they allow you to substitute certain things in the soup if you don't want certain things or don't like it or of course, if you have allergies, I'm sure they would also substitute for you. The staff there are very friendly and kind and able to accommodate many different things that will make your experience better. Honestly, we came here because Anh Hong was packed and there was a wait to be seated... This place was right across the street... this place has two storefronts and the entrance part was empty but the other side was full so they sat us near the front door. The menu is very appealing and it has several items I have never seen in a Vietnamese restaurant before. I didn't see the second dinning room to comment on the ambiance there. We ordered the sausage spring roll it Was different but yummy. All the food we ordered was tasty. I was very impressed at the portion size of my meal and all the meat that was in it. It was not lacking in the meat department.. They do have a drink menu that you have to scan a QR code for and that is apparently for a different business called BinBong, they'll bring your drinks to your table... this is a new spot that we heard of that we wanted to try as pho enthusiasts. the inside was decorated very beautifully & it felt like you were on the streets of vietnam. there are a few things to note beyond this though - the spring rolls were well made w/ a unique peanut sauce that had an added crunch. we got a kids pho for my toddler and he loved it w/ the beef sausages that came with it. my husband & i got the p5 that had rare steak + tendon. one thing to note is that he loved his bowl. for me - it was, okay. the soup was not hot enough, so therefore the noodles were undercooked & the tendon had a strange taste to it because it wasn't in a very hot soup that made them soften in the first place. but, the soup base itself was good - everything came out on time and well but our appetizer ban beo came out well after we were done with our meal after mentioning it to them. the dish itself was pretty good - i wish they would have included some sort of sauce that came with it because otherwise it wasn't much to it but again it was not the deluxe version. i am very picky when it comes to asian food because, well i am one :) i know that we will be back to try the other dishes but this experience was not the best first impression but i'm a big believer of second chances! read more

Great food. I highly recommend the pho and vermicelli dishes. The fish sauce for the vermicelli tastes housemade and it's delicious. The pho uses fresh noodles that are different from other standard pho restaurants. I feel like it elevates the dish. The broth is clear and has a very deep beef flavor. The chicken karaage is ok. It's a bit too saucy for my liking. The menu is quite extensive. There are a lot of choices, but there are also a lot of pictures that help with selecting what to eat. However, be aware that the pictures are not what the dishes ACTUALLY look like. We were a little disappointed with the banh hue (steamed tapioca). The picture looked like a much bigger portion/better presentation than what we received. It was still tasty but just a lot smaller than we thought. Service was fast and friendly. The friendly service and large menu are the standout features here. Parking and restaurant location can be kind of tough when you arrive, there's minimal free street parking in front along E Colonial Dr. and a small parking lot in the rear on Hillcrest St. You can tell that this place attracts a lot of regulars with full booths inside around dinner time, and there's tons of other Vietnamese / East Asian cafes and dessert spots within walking distance. It's an easy place to meet up on a night out and explore elsewhere afterwards. My noodles were a bit overcooked so they kept breaking in the soup, but the broth was very savory, flavorful, and came with a generous amount of veggies. Had a mommy-daughter lunch date at Pho 2 To. Hole in the wall place off of E Colonial and Mills Ave. It was my first time going and I decide to take my toddler daughter there because she wanted to get pho for lunch. Being right on E Colonial, there's never any street parking (ugh who would want to parallel park there anyway?) so there is parking in the back lot. We walked to the door through the back and you can tell it's a tiny little spot which is cozy and the decor was so pretty authentic. Once we were seated, it took a bit for a server to get our order. That's ok because the rest of the time the two who were there were quick and friendly. I was super impressed with the food. It was all so good and my daughter loved it too. We had the pho dac biet, bo la lot (pic of the grilled beef wrapped up in a leaf), and banh beo (pic of the little white pancake looking things with various toppings). All so yummy! Pho 2 To is about 3.5 stars. The small place is cute for dating. Outside sitting is available. Parking is at the back. They also have a back door to get in. Today we got banh canh gio heo. This is a tapioca noodles with chasu pork and pork hock. The clear soup broth taste very good. The pork hock has good amount of meat and the pork skin was well cooked. We also got banh Xeo - egg crepe with shrimp. The crepe is no flavor but they give you fish sauce for dipping on the side. Overall is a good light item to have. Service is good. This place is absolutely one of the best Vietnamese restaurants that I have been to in the US. They feature many Northern style Vietnamese food which is less common here in the US. If you have been ever to Vietnam and have eaten Pho you would know that the Pho here is at least 7/10 on authenticity. I got the Pho with well done steak and fatty brisket and it was divine. I also like that they have fresh pho noodles that you can order as well. I highly recommend trying the Nem Nuong Ninh Hoa platter. It is grilled BBQ ground pork patty with a platter of veggie, rice vermicelli, and crispy deep-fried rice paper, which you wrap everything up using the rice paper on the side to make summer rolls. Service was quick and the waiters were all so nice and polite. I love the decorations as well. Very tradition Vietnamese oriented with some modern details. We parked our back and walked through to a beautiful restaurant with lots of seating. The menu is extensive, and I saw some dishes that are fairly rare to find in the area. We got an array of options and every dish was outstanding. They had deep flavors and the sauces were rich without being greasy. You really can't go wrong. Service was friendly, but be aware that it may take a while to get someone's attention to cash out. All good, because it just gave us more time to sit and enjoy each other's company. So we were actually looking for Ga Ta but couldn't find it so we ended up here. It seems like Ga Ta can be ordered at this location because we received menus for pho 2 to and ga ta. We didn't do much investigating on that. The location is small but cute. They play music from the TV sometimes. It depends on when people hit replay. I got the pork & shrimp spring rolls but it was not impressive as it lacked rice noodles and it came out super cold as if they weren't recently made. I wouldn't get again and I forgot to take a pic. The main entree was good. I got the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio. It had a lot of flavor and lots of rice noodles. I thought "maybe they should have added some of this to my spring roll". Mostly everything is good. My two complaint was when we went, it was during soft opening and there was no high hair for my kiddos. So they're just roaming around which is stressful for the servers and us. And Vietnamese dishes are almost guaranteed to come with its own sauce. However they use littlest dish to put sauce and it isn't enough. We end up keep asking for extra sauces and it gets hectic for server if they're busy. I love the old vietnam decor! This place just opened not too long ago so I wanted to give them a try. While we were promptly seated, the service after that didn't match. It took a little while to actually place our order as our server was busy having a long conversation with someone else at the bar area. We waived down the other employee (idk if he was another server or host but he did visit our table afterwards as well) and he informed our server we were ready to order. I wanted to order Pho but they were sold out. I ordered the galbi plate instead. As a person who's been in the restaurant business all their life, you tend to notice things. 1) I was sat at a table where 1/2 is a booth and the other half a chair. I sat at the booth 1/2 and because there are plants sticking out, there is no way you can lean back or seat comfortably. 2) there's a long light hanging down in the middle of the dining room and you have to avoid it if you were headed to the restroom from my table. 3) it took 4 times total for 2 employees to visit my table until someone noticed I never received my drink while the other person at my table did and I had to ask for utensil after. I can see if new servers are flustered while being busy but that wasn't the case here. There was only one other table beside mine in the entire restaurant. Just points for improvement. As for the Galbi Trifecta plate, I'm guessing the tri in the Trifecta is 2 meats + the egg since there wasn't a description on the menu. The meats itself was ok. It could have used a little more char. The egg was cooked perfectly and the veggies were fresh. Although I like the rice used, it had a slightly stale taste possibly from sitting in a rice warmer too long (but this was the end of the night so I gave it a pass). I did asked for fish sauce which made the dish better. Overall this place has room for improvement. The plate I received wasn't worth $21 and the service was lacking. Would I return? Possibly in the future to give them another try but as of now there are too many other quality places nearby to choose from. read more

Decided to try this place out because I'd driven by a few times and was curious. While there were things I liked I don't know they were good enough to come back for based on price and portion size. The pho was really flavorful and they use the wider noodles which is not typical to other places but I do prefer them. I would order that again but I believe it was $18 My husband ordered the bun cha Hanoi and said it was the best he has had in the area and I agreed with that. The meat was flavorful and the eggrolls were crispy. Chicken lollipops were just chicken wings and I did not like them. They had a sugary glaze that tasted like burnt sugar and the meat itself had no flavor. Fried sweet potatoes were pretty good but it was a tiny portion for I believe $8-$10 It was soft opening when I went so it may have gotten better since and I will say the service was amazing read more

We came here with some friends. The place is small, but nicely decorated. They had their 2nd week tasting menu out. We ordered the flying noodles with beef stew, some baos, some spring rolls, and few other items. The flying noodle with beef stew presentation was great, but there wasn't much stew. The dish got pretty oily towards the end. The baos were smaller than expected, but yummy. The spring rolls I really enjoyed, but my friends were not a fan of how much greens were stuffed into them. We also tried the triangle treasure, which was a savory pastry deep fried in a crispy flaky shell. The different sauces that came with each dish were interesting. The cocktail was refreshing and light. The service was great and the server was very attentive. He asked us questions about how we enjoyed the food afterward and some tips we had for dishes. Overall, I had a good experience, but the prices are high for what the portions are. I would maybe come back to have some cocktails, but the dishes I'm not sure.
