I was so happy to learn that they were open during the pandemic and I can definitely see how they won best Pho in the area. The broth is so authentic and has a strong clove flavor which I love. I have ordered carry out twice and both times everything was packaged perfectly. They even put the broth container in a separate plastic bag to ensure it doesn't spill. Service has always been fast and friendly and there has never been an issue with my asking for extra hoison sauce (the brother doesn't need it but I like to dip my meat) I really like how they don't skimp on lime slices, sprouts and mint for to go orders either! My only wish is that they were more lenient with their rule of carry out being large bowls of Pho during the pandemic since we aren't able to eat in. Recently moved to the area from a city in Florida with a huge Vietnamese population. Yesterday was a cold and rainy day and I was so craving Chicken Pho. This place did not disappoint. I ordered a large Chicken Pho with an order of Spring rolls. My order was ready in about 10 mins and the staff was cordial. The broth had all the deliciousness of a good pho. I was expecting to be able to make a hot bowl of noodle soup right from the take out container but the chicken and the noodles needed to be warmed (not a deal breaker). The Spring rolls were huge and delicious. I loved the "dipping vinegar" that came with the rolls. I was satisfied with just one. The acid from dipping sauce was a nice balance to the fried roll. Just like back in FL the order was packed with sliced limes, bean sprouts and basil. It was very comforting after being out in the cold rain. I will definitely be returning. read more

I came here in hopes of ordering banh xeo-which they didn't have :( Though their menu is very limited, this place is definitely all about their pho. I ordered a small #19 Bo vien (meatball pho) and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The broth on its own was very flavorful & clean. Proportional meat to noodle ratio. Additionally, they offer 3 sate sauces at the table which were pretty tasty (chili garlic oil, chili garlic paste, and lemongrass oil). The coffee was a bit too creamy for me (I personally prefer my Vietnamese coffee on the strong/bitter side). Nonetheless, it was still delicious. I had summer rolls, chicken wings, and the grilled pork rice dish. And I ordered two iced coffees for myself (so good). That means I know where to go if I have my cravings near home!! The chicken wings are sooooo good, I recommend trying something them instead of the usual rolls! I will definitely be hitting up this place a lot more often now. Long story short, save your time and money. Pho 98 is right up the street from this place and they're 1000 times better. First when I called in a to go order I asked for a regular size bowl, the guy on the phone told me they don't sell regular sizes at this time. Complete bs if you ask me. Usually no matter where you order pho, they're super super stingy with the plum sauce. I love plum sauce so It was my fault I forgot to ask my husband to ask for extra but I have NEVER had a Pho place mix what was probably 2 squirts or plum sauce with a minimal amount of hot sauce. I have to say that out of all the Pho places I've been to I think this is my new favorite Pho restaurant. It is a little farther from my house but totally worth the drive! The location is pretty convenient and if you wanted to go grocery shopping, Lotte and Aldi are super close by! Atmosphere : 3.5/5 - its a clean facility, nothing super fancy but it is clean and it is not too loud. Food: 5/5 - I have had both the Pho and Bon Bo Hue and I love it! The Price is really reasonable and you get what you pay for. I usually get the regular Pho but if you want to eat more they have Large bowls and even a HUGE bowl where I have only seen in FB videos! The Bon Bo Hue is phenomenal and it is PERFECT for a rainy or a cold day! It is not too spicey but there is a great lemon grass flavor that blends in so well with the broth! There is alot of meat and noodles so it will definitely fill you up! If you want good Pho check this place out! read more

This is one of our favorite haunts close to home for tasty beef pho and is crowded every time we've visited. During our latest visit earlier this month, the broth for the Sliced Beef Pho and Bun Bo Hue seemed to be a little more bland than usual. Perhaps the kitchen was slammed as they were running at 95% capacity and so the staff may not have drained the noodles adequately before pouring hot broth over it. The pho is pretty consistent here and customer service is superb. The staff refilled our ice waters on at least three different occasions, which is unheard of at most Asian restaurants. I absolutely LOVE this pho! The broth has a distinct flavor. The service is quick, and the price is right. I got the small bowl of pho and it was just enough for me. My sister got the roasted pork with vermicelli noodles and she loved it. She especially liked the generous portion size. The roasted pork was flavorful and tender, and the fish sauce wasn't terribly fishy. Overall, it was a great dish and I will most likely get one next time we come in. I also really appreciated the spicy sauce assortment, as well as sriracha and hoisin sauce. I love sauces so the unique selection gave me the ability to make my pho suit my mood for spicy pho. A part of me kind of feels sorry for this establishment as my mind scrambles for a reason why this broth tasted like a strange warm bowl of cloves (maybe it was a new chef? maybe they accidentally spilled a whole container of cloves? did I accidently insult the staff and they are messing up my meal?). Sadly it doesnt matter how many times this place labels "#1 Pho" throughout the restaurant (on the window, menus, the walls, they even comissioned their own plastic rendering of a bowl of pho) based on the flavor of this dish, this just isnt good tasting at all. Their spring roll though large, was too densely packed and lacked the enjoyable crispy fluffy texture found in traditional Vietnamese spring rolls. I love the food here, been coming for a few years, but the staff is awful. As a regular I'd expect to be appreciated, but no. The waiter that is there the most rolls his eyes when I come in, huffs when I need a water refill, and still I tip him 20%. I get the feeling that he feels I put him out because I drink a lot of water. Today I waited 20 minutes in their parking lot for them to open. I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Its reputstion was solid so i thought i would give it a shot and it was close to the hotel i was at. Came around 6pm, prime dinner time, and it wasn't over crowded but crowded enough to know it was busy and popping. I ordered the Spring Rolls and Pho special with extra noodles and extra tendon. I wanted to bring my boyfriend here and twice- THEY DID NOT SERVE US. Said they ran out of Pho the first time and the 2nd time, they said they stopped serving. Both times it was 7:30pm. This is unacceptable, not to mention when we walked in, the waiter rolled their eyes at us. There are places dying to do business. Fortunately we were able to go to the Thai place next door and Taste of Korea in the same plaza who was more than happy to serve us. Shame on you Pho 102! Pho 102 is one of the better pho options in the Chantilly/Herndon/Sterling area. They offer a little bit of something to meet everyone's needs whether it's Pho, Bun Bo Hue, Shaky Beef and even Chicken Wings. The Pho is highly rated as one of the best pho's in Northern Virginia so it was definitely worth a try. Glad to say the flavors and rich broth did not disappoint. However, it was more expensive than I expected. I know of a few other places where you can get a large bowl of pho for less than $10. The Bun Bo Bue was decent but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get it from here. I unfortunately did not get to try the Shaky Beef but will definitely come back to try it after I noticed the folks at the table next to me ordered it. The portion was very generous and aroma was amazing as it was made to order. This place even has a Pho challenge where you get a free T-shirt for attempting and completing a massive bowl of pho (probably the equivalent of 4/5 large bowls of pho). Only thing I'd like to see improved is the customer service. Basically once you order, you see or hear from anyone again until you check out. read more

The pho here is descent. It's not my first or second choice in the area if I was craving pho. The broth is good but definitely more on the bland side when compared to other places. I think the highlight of this place is their service of bun bo hue, a vermicelli dish with beef, lemongrass, fermented shrimp paste, and various meats, such as pig's feet. This might be the only place I know in the area that serves this dish. I think the broth for the bun bo hue here is like the pho; less flavorful when compared to places where I've had it. Came here and got the Pho bowl #17, small. The size of the bowl was perfect, it was filling and had a great meat to noodle ratio. The BROTH, man was it good. Everyone wants extreme flavor in pho but sometimes that clean and authentic feeling needs to be simple. Not smothered in a whole bunch of other things. Biggest difference is how light the pho soup is to real pho then other places it's like a dirty brown. The meat was well placed and the tripe was huge and tender. Very conveniently located near a Lotte, so you can get groceries and then make a pit stop for some pho with a private lot but shared with a couple of other stores. This place was very clean compared to most pho places I have been, but their food definitely will win you over. It was very fragrant and even the platter of jalapeños, bean sprouts, and freshly cut limes looked freshly cut. The layout of the restaurant was different. With the register being placed near the back of the restaurant close to the kitchen and you have to go up and pay there. For under $10, you can get a small bowl of deliciously, fragrant pho. Of course I got the one with everything in it. The meat came out with pink perfection because it meant you get to add your side veggies without worry that they won't cook. I was hungry after spending 45 minutes scraping the ice off my car this morning, so instead of settling for a restaurant near my hotel, I drove here instead. It was definitely worth the few extra minutes I spent to get here. Large #8 ($9.95): The pho broth here is honestly among the most flavorful and delicious I've ever had--and I've eaten at plenty of fantastic Vietnamese restaurants over the years. One sip was all I needed to know it was going to be a great bowl. The amount of noodles and meat you get is generous, and the broth is plentiful. I also love that they include fatty pieces of brisket (or flank, round steak, etc.). I uncharacteristically added a few squirts of hoisin and Sriracha directly to my pho, something I never do. I was here for lunch with two others, so we also ordered the Com Thit Heo Nuong ($11) and a bowl of "special" pho that had a different slices of meat, tendon, tripe, and beef balls; it's not on the menu, but the guy who took our order knew what we were looking for. Both dishes were said to be good. We were so hungry, that we only remembered to take a picture of the two bowls of pho--oops! Where do I even begin? The food - phenomenal, service- alright, covid precautions - positively strict cleaning and distancing between customers. The food was so good I didn't want to stop eating! To start with the appetizers, we ordered one of everything (spring roll, summer roll, vegan roll, & fried chicken). This fried chicken - the BEST any of us have ever had...no joke. Whatever that sauce is, I need more of it in my life! The spring roll and summer roll were tied for second and vegan roll was the least favorite but still good. For Pho, we ordered the #14 and #15 and those were great as well! Highly recommend you ask for a side of chili oil for those who enjoy extra spice and kick to their pho - they only bring out hoisin sauce and sriracha to flavor the soup but there is something special about chili oil I just can't begin to explain.
