The fries were Cavendish fries & they were well-fried, so there was a nice exterior texture & savoury taste. When I visited the Richmond Hill outlet years ago I believe they used real bacon but this outlet uses beef bacon (the website just calls it bacon).

This location on Hwy 48 (Markham Road), is one of a few burger places in the area. When you think of quality, freshness and value for the buck then Hero comes to mind. It's a step up from the other fast-food restaurants. Hero has higher quality meats, a more robust offering in toppings and a good assortment of sides. The Markham Road location has been in business for a few years and is quite busy due to it's prime location in a multi-service shopping plaza. Hero caters to all crowds as it serves up beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian options for its sandwiches and sides and has very good salads as well. The staff and ownership really take pride in their offerings and service. This makes this location a popular destination for burger and chicken sandwich lovers in the area.
