Beef brisket poutine
Min K.

Review is based on the Poutine only. This is a new location and saw reviews in facebook that thwir burgers are good. Looking fwd to trying them. The beef brisket was great, it was tender and it was flavorful. It's not a smoky bbq type of beef brisket which I prefer. The fries are like the Cavendish type, it was just enough gravy and cheese was melted. Will definitely order again. and the ordering was easy online.

Sunnyside up egg cheeseburger -$14.99 (sub cheese for bun - add $3.00)

RUDY - Rude dude

What I love about their burger is the juicy patty and the fresh veggies. In addition their spicy chicken burger surprised me with how good it was. It was super juicy on the inside but nice and crispy on the outside. It wasn't too spicy. The inside was clean and wasn't too busy when I arrived so plenty of seating. All in all best burger in the area and just as good as the downtown location

It was one of many businesses that got me through this weird, uncertain time. For the last few months, I got myself reacquainted with Aurora. Well over a decade ago, I frequented Aurora often. I'm not sure why I stopped visiting, but it has been great returning every few weeks. While rediscovering Aurora, I have noticed this Rudy for a while. It used to be a Starbucks that I frequented often back in the day. It's also nearby a Gong Cha that I love. A couple Saturdays ago, after running a bunch of errands, I felt like lunch. I remembered this place and drove up the 404 to get here. There was plenty of parking when I got here at roughly 3 pm. I parked and walked in. I needed to use the washroom, so I made a left to use it. There are two single stalls. The door handle tells you whether it's vacant or occupied. The one that I used before and after my meal was clean. I headed over to the counter to place my order. I got Sarah, who was super patient and friendly. I looked at the combos menu. I went with the rude dude combo. The rude dude is a double cheeseburger. I got it with bacon, which meant that my burger was tattooed. I liked that I got a small poutine as the side because the poutine at Rudy's is excellent. I also got a fountain drink. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. She let me know when my food was ready. I found a table by the wall with windows. I filled my cup with ice and Diet Coke. It was so refreshing. I went back to refill my cup because I needed more of it to wash my food down. It is drafty in this eatery. Most folks had their coats and jackets on. There was a heater in the corner, which did little to heat the entire eatery. I looked at my receipt. Sarah had asked for my name. It was Marrie on the receipt. Close enough! My order was number 71. I thought that I'd hear the number called out and fetch my order. Nope. Sarah brought my food over on a tray. So nice! I thanked her and went to town eating my late lunch. My rude dude burger tasted yummy and fresh. I loved the buttery leafy lettuce, juicy sliced tomatoes, two slices of cheese, sauce, and bacon. The two smashed beef patties were flavourful and perfectly grilled. The bun was soft and held everything together. I loved being reunited with this burger! The poutine was excellent. The gravy was perfect to melt the cheese curds. The fries were perfection. It is the perfect side with the rude dude. I love that this Rudy location is in Aurora. I'll be back again for more good eats. (502)

Sweet and sour sauce was missing from the order. I had to specially ask for it afterward which was a huge inconvenience as I was with my 3-year-old nephew. I asked for no salt on the fries. I tasted salt. It was not done properly based on past experiences. Spilled drink near garbage area. I had to remind employees to clean it twice. They forgot to clean it. Posed a safety risk to the 3-year-old toddler. It wasn't a priority for them to clean until I reminded the supervisor a 2nd time. Couldn't use bathroom to wash my hands due to plumbing issue. Red leather-like seating surfaces throughout the restaurant were destroyed. Big chunks of foam missing and my 3-year-old nephew kept pointing and asking what is this?... From what I notice, management at this location has gone downhill significantly. Another concern, employees tend to ignore customers inside the restaurant because they pay more attention to the drive-thru. Drive-thru wasn't busy so that is strange why. McDonald's was known in the distant past as being a place for toddlers and also a place that did well in a fast paced environment. Today's experience was nothing what McDonald's brand is historically known for. Worst experience so far at this Aurora location.

The fries were very small in portion and might be a tad too salty for some customers. My cheeseburger was poorly prepared and seemed to be sitting on the warming rack too long. I saw a sign saying that there was a Wendy's if I took the Aurora Road exit. That's weird. I take it fairly often and I never remembered seeing a Wendy's. It's actually further west. Aurora Road becomes Wellington Street East when you head westbound. It's on the latter street. I had no problem finding this Wendy's. It's a combo store with Tim Hortons, so it's one-stop shopping for your burger and donut needs. This Wendy's has a drive-thru. I wanted to dine in. I backed into a spot across from the drive-thru. I then placed an order through my Wendy's app. My favourite burger at Wendy's is the bacon portobello mushroom melt. It's here for a limited time. I wish that it were permanently on the menu. It's such a yummy burger. I ordered the following: - Bacon portobello mushroom melt - Side chili - Medium fountain drink - Small cherry crumble vanilla frosty The estimated time for my order to be ready was five minutes. Cool! I walked into the eatery. Wendy's is on the left. I needed to use the washroom. It's in the middle, shared between the two businesses. The washroom was clean. I liked that the soap dispenser and dryer work when you put your hands under them. I used it again before heading out the door. I headed over to the dining area. I found a booth and sat down. I placed my jacket down. Once my order was ready, I headed over to the counter to pick it up. The nicest woman was at the counter. I said that I had an app order under my name. She said that it was almost ready. The burger was nearly done. She gave me a cup to fetch my fountain drink. I like that it has a fancy Coke Freestyle fountain machine. I got a Barq's zero sugar vanilla root beer. I later returned to fill it up. I put ice in my cup. This drink was delicious, especially cold with ice. I headed back to the counter and my food was ready. The woman also gave me a tray for my drink and frosty. I thanked her and headed to my booth. It was a good idea to put my jacket down on the seat. A man wanted to sit down and noticed my jacket. He found a different table. I loved my bacon portobello mushroom melt. The beef patty was yummy. The bacon was generous and was jutting out of my burger. The mushrooms were meaty and hearty. The melty cheese sauce brought everything together. The bun was soft. It was a nice change from having one with sesame seeds on top. So good! I chose chili as my side. It's my go-to side at Wendy's. It was hearty and yummy. It had a lot of beef, beans, tomatoes, onions, and more. Eating it was so enjoyable that I forgot to put crackers in it. Oops! When I saw that there was a cherry crumble frosty, I had to give it a try. You can choose to get it in chocolate or vanilla. I went for the latter. It tasted like a slice of cherry pie got mixed into a vanilla frosty. It was delightful. I got a small because I wasn't sure if I'd like it. Maybe I'll go for a medium next time. I liked my experience. Staff were friendly. The food and drinks were yummy. I'm a fan. (31)

A couple Saturdays ago, I was running a few errands. Once I was done, I felt like visiting a diner for lunch. I did a search and found Poached Dreams Diner in Aurora. I didn't mind driving up from Markham to check it out. It was straightforward getting here. I parked in the parking lot and walked in from what looked like the back of the diner. There's also a front door with a patio that faces Wellington Street East. I was immediately greeted by a young, enthusiast woman. I let her know that I needed a table for one. She got me to a comfortable booth by the window. The catch is that you have to watch your step to get to your seat. It's a treat when I have breakfast out. I thought that I'd be getting french toast. Well, all that changed when I saw a heading for comfort foods on the menu. Nothing makes me happier than seeing open-faced sandwiches on a menu. It was probably during my days living in Winnipeg that I fell in love with such sandwiches and at least a side. New goal: come here and have every open-faced sandwich on the menu. I got cold water to start. It was refreshing and much needed after running errands. I ordered these items for my meal: - Diet Coke (2) - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies My Diet Coke came with a glass with ice. I loved it. I wish the can was larger! I needed a second can for dessert. I loved my hot turkey sandwich. There was a generous amount of sliced turkey smothered in sauce over a slice of white bread. I got to choose my starch. I went with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy over the turkey that I dunked my spoonfuls of mashed potatoes into it. I loved the steamed veggies. They were perfectly cooked. They also went into the gravy. The meal was delicious. I'd order it again. I felt like dessert. I asked if there was any. Baklava with pistachios. I said yes. I thought that it would be a square or rectangle. Nope. I got a roll. Cool! It was perfect. It had the right amount of honey. It was crispy and yummy. So good! I paid my bill at the table. I tipped and then tapped my credit card. I elected to have the receipt texted to my phone, which also signed me up for its points program. Yay! I learned that this diner has been open since June 2025. I'm always late to any party because I seem to live under a rock or in a cave. I'm glad that I visited this eatery. Great food. Great service. Great! I used the washroom before I left. The women's washroom was clean and had a full-length mirror. This eatery is huge. It looks like there's a cafe for those grabbing coffee and maybe a snack before leaving. I look forward to returning for more good eats and drinks. (148)

Amazing food and great service, I would like to come back and try some of their dinners dishes.
