Pricey- but worth it if you have pets, allergies and just want clean floors, I love it. Used in The White House.

Whether it's buying a new vacuum or getting appliances and lamps repaired, the only shop I'll go to is Phil's Electric. They're honest and their pricing is fair and you'll get your item back in quick order. This errand I needed a new electrical cord for my old DeLonghi portable radiator. Like many appliances, ones that were made 25 years ago are better quality than the new models. When I damaged the cord, I dumbly replaced it with a new DeLonghi model that only threw heat from the top of the unit and barely made a temperature difference in my living room. My trusty old radiator now has a new heat-resistant cord that's longer than the original one (hooray, no extension cords, that's how I damaged the original plug), a missing bolt replaced and polished shiny clean for $55. I love Phil's Electric, in business for over 80 years for a reason.

Here's the shop on Lombard near the Lyons Gate of the Presidio!

Awesome job by Phil's Electric! I had a small lamp that had a faulty switch for some time. Oops by me in using a light bulb that exceeded the wattage of the lamp. That short-circuit and puff of smoke was a sign to get it fixed! Phil's Electric to the rescue. I dropped it off; they gave me a rough estimate. When I called back on the day they said it would be done, it was ready for pick up! What a relief to get my lamp back. I'd been dwelling in the dark for sometime :( Now I have my two Phil's fixed lamps for use. Hurrah for Phil's! A great family owned and operated small business. They don't make repair shops like these any more. Established in 1941!!!

I found an old pump type Zojirushi airpot in my packed away in storage and in trying to use it, their was no pressure to dispense the water. I called Phil's to ask if this was worth repairing or something for the trash. Right away they said it probably needed a new lid, particularly if the dispenser was more than 5 years old and said the replacement part was about $30. They had the part in stock and and replacing it would make it as good as new. I decided it was worth it since a new airpot would cost much more. I went to the shop and replaced it right away and I was in and out in about 10 minutes. I walked out with a working Zojirushi airpot. Still the only place in Northern California that will service Zojirushi appliances. Great place, knowledgeable staff, wonderful service. Locally owned small business. They observe the COVID-19 protocols--they wear masks and anyone entering the store is required to wear a mask and they limit the number of people in their shop. They also provide hand sanitizer at the front counter.

Did Great job repairing and cleaning an old family toaster. We're thrilled to still have it on our counter.

I contacted them about returning it for another sheet set and they told me their return policy is 30 days but they can offer me a basic 10% discount on my next order. I will never do business with this company again and I advise everyone else to do the same because they don't appreciate their customers.

Today is Feb 4th, 2023. I placed my order for the Karson 8'x10' ivory wool rug on October 11,…read more2022. It was not a "custom" order item and there was no notice that the delay in delivering the rug would be so long at the time I placed my order. Had I known, I would have purchased a rug elsewhere. I have been tracking my order regularly since placing the order. I have had an original delivery date window of Mon, Nov 21 - Wed, Nov 23, but no rug. After that date passed the delivery date window was changed by PB to Wed, Dec 14 - Fri, Dec 16. Again, no rug. Next, tracking sent us a notice that the rug had arrived in Hickory, NC to the PB loading dock on Tue, Dec 20 @ 8:52am. Great news so we thought, the rug is close! We live in South Carolina. The delivery window was changed yet again to Mon, Jan 9 - Tue, Jan 10. We thought 3 weeks delay to deliver the rug was a bit long, but on Sat, Jan 7 the delivery window was changed by PB yet again to Mon, Jan 30 - Wed, Feb 1. I want to schedule my delivery, but after I spoke with 4 different Scheduling customer service workers this week, I find out that my rug is not at their loading dock, but at another warehouse and not ready for a delivery to be scheduled yet. Pottery Barn has my money and my rug. NOW on January 25th the delivery date was pushed out again until Feb. 10th! Pottery Barn customer service is TERRIBLE. The quality of the items I have previously purchased in the past have been great, but I will NEVER buy another item from Pottery Barn again after this nightmare!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! Yelp requires a minimum of 1 star. PB deserves a negative star rating in my opinion. I have recently filed an official complaint with the BBB on-line! The delivery window for this rug has changed FIVE (5) times over the past FOUR (4) MONTHS!!! Hickory, NC is LESS than 150 MILES from our residence in Blair, SC There is NO EXCUSE for this rug to have been sitting at any warehouse for OVER SIX (6) WEEKS! PB's "customer service" response email was NOT a resolution to this matter. The RESOLUTION would be having the rug delivered to our front door! PB "customer service" monitoring will do nothing to get the rug to us any faster. Pottery Barn should be ashamed and embarrassed by this failure to deliver a product from their Website in a timely manner! Later, I had another problem as the fridge started making an odd noise. Initially, Vadym suspected it was the compressor fan, but the issue persisted. This issue had actually been lingering for a long time, I had at least four or five other companies came to diagnose the noise issue, each offering different quick opinions--some barely inspected it and suggested immediate part replacements, others insisted the fridge needed to be pulled out (which is a big job for a built-in unit) and fix from the back of the fridge. But none felt confident, they all rushed to conclusions without a proper diagnosis. Vadym stood out by taking the time. He thoroughly examined the fridge and, when the issue persisted, he consulted his network instead of guessing. Eventually, he figured out the noise was caused by the condenser pipe and water pipe being too close, which caused vibration when the compressor kicked in. In the end, he fixed it. What I truly appreciated was his commitment, he didn't rush to a quick guess; he invested time, asked for input, and returned until it was resolved. I would highly recommend Vadym and Metro Appliance to others.

UPDATE: Triton finally called me back and was able to issue the reimbursement for the compressor…read more Thanks to Mario for following up after my review and working to make it right. Appreciate it! My LG refrigerator died recently and I needed it repaired ASAP. Triton was able to come the soonest so I went with them. They came right away and fixed the problem- the fridge needed a new compressor. So far so good. The job ended up costing around $1350. $950 for the labor and $400 for the part. Super expensive I know but still cheaper than getting a new fridge. The problem was that the compressor was still under warranty and the repair man said that they could reimburse us for the part if we call LG to have them replace it after the fact. He assured me that this is common practice and he's done it several times before. Ok so I pay them, call LG, give them all the info they asked for and they say they will send Triton the new part in 3-4 weeks. A month goes by and I call Triton about the reimbursement. The guy says he needs to check with his warehouse or inventory manager or something to see if the part arrived and would call me back. I never heard back. I tried again the next week. Same thing- he needs to check with his inventory guy and will get back to me. No call back. I call again and you'll never guess what happened. Yes same story. And now I am writing this review because I'm starting to think I'm not getting that $400 back. Ugh. Still I can't give only 1 star bc they did fix it and they were courteous the whole time they were here. 2 stars it is.
