Great Real Philly spot! I came here a couple months after going to Philly and eating at Pats and Gino's BTW PATs hands down better than GINO this place is as close as it get to Philly with out the Jerkoff and Retard attitude. I came here on a Sunday when the Eagels and Boys were playing. The place was packed with Eagle Jerseys. it was Kewl. only thing was when i asked for Pizza fry's the valley kid was like "wahh" read more

The old hag who took my order was extremely rude. I ordered a cheese steak hoagie with raw onion. This is the only sandwich I ever order from this place. What I got was a cheese steak (not a hoagie) with grill onion. I took back the order and told them they made the wrong sandwich. She accused me of ordering grill onion and it was my fault for not knowing how to order instead of being her fault for not writing down what I ordered. I replied that I NEVER order grilled onion and again, she insisted that I did. How arrogant and rude this bitch accusing a customer like that instead of admitting to her mistake and apologize. Luckily, the cook (owner?) stepped in and said he will remake a right one. Just for that, rating went from a zero star to 2 stars. Too bad, I will never visit this place again. Been going here for years. Until they fire the old bitchy hag in the front counter, guess I will bring my business else where. To the owner of this franchise-need to find better employee that treat customer with respect, otherwise, you will slowly chase away returning customers! read more

Awesome!!! These sandwiches are by far the best yet...We stopped for lunch on account of the Yelp reviews and Im telling you, we couldn't have made a better choice..I wish I could give 10 stars read more

Best sandwich place in the Sa Fernando Valley- hands down!!! If you love authentic Italian subs- you must try this place! read more

Thumbs Up! I vouch for the non traditonal Pizza Steak, served on a really soft and spongy Amoroso roll, imported direct from the City of Brotherly Love. read more

Not too great but not bad either. I had the mushroom cheese steak with onions. Down side, the mushrooms are from a can. Upside the rolls are nice and soft. But still, the flavors were lacking. I had to stuff mine with jalapenos for extra kick. And surprisingly, I didn't get full. Most other sandwiches usually stuff me to the gills but not this one. Interesting. But to end on a good note, they have Wise potato chips, haven't seen those in while. read more

Great place, best philly style cheesesteak sub in LA and I have tried them all, LOL. Nice and clean with friendly staff as well. And PARKING! If they only had french fries it would be 5 stars. read more

Update: The owner contacted me with a very nice note, apologizing and offering to rectify the situation. Still pretty ticked but it seems their intentions are in the right place and I think that needs to be noted. read more

This place is the best in Chicago pizza is delicious Philly steak is beyond domicile stop by Little expensive but it's worth it I recommend this place read more

Most authentic cheesesteak in the SFV. Not only do they bring in Amoroso's rolls (a must for a legit cheesesteak), they also have other Philly related items like Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer, Tastykakes, Wise chips and Frank's soda. Only thing that could make it better is if they got a liquor license and brought in Yeungling on draft and expanded it into an Eagles bar. read more

Ok gave it a shot. First while ordering stresses out woman at the cash register started telling customer he could not use the pickle slice bar for take out? Any way next issue one hour away from closing and half the tables were closed with the chairs on top of the tables, hate when restaurants go into cleaning mode while open vs staying focused on providing great service.ok steak was ok, outside of roll was covered in grease. Mopping of the eating area continues with dirty gross mop being dragged around right were people are eating. read more

Ok we there for the first time today. This place is legit. The whiz is perfect, the steak is good, the understand the original is just cheese and onions. The fries were amazing. They're like fresh cut and cooked perfectly crispy. I love that I ordered them to go and they served whiz on the side instead of drenching them and giving me a soggy mess to eat at home. I'll be back for sure. Very friendly staff. I don't have anything negative to say. I did think the ones for people eating in either looked better or had more steak than my to go version but it wasn't like I needed more. I was plenty full off what I got. I'm only not going 5 stars because I've had better In my life time, but this is the best one I've had since moving west and living in Phoenix and L.A. Very true to the original. read more

Both cheese or onions on a cheesesteak? Lol. Over 16 hucks for Landry meat and bread only sandwich and 5 onion rings. No thanks. First and last time read more

I was in the neighborhood so I stopped by. There was only one person in there waiting so i placed my order. The "Philly's Best" sandwich seemed like what I was looking for. Beef, American cheese, onions and mushrooms. The staff was very cordial although the cookers seemed a bit aloof. I was kinda disappointed by waiting 10 minutes for a sandwich. But I had a cherry soda and chilled. After loading up on peppers and pickles at their station, I took the sandwiches across the street to my friends place and we dug in. The meat was cooked perfectly and was immersed in a delicious cheese sauce. The vegetables were perfectly sauteed and enhanced the flavor of the sandwich perfectly. The roll was just a roll and I would have like mine toasted but soft was OK. I don't actually know if they toast the bun, but next time I'll ask. They have an assortment of sandwiches which include other favorites such as hoagies and hamburgers. My sandwich was a mere 6.95. Pretty good I'd say. read more

Not from Philly. Visited the east coast twice ever, to NYC. From Seattle originally. So a Philly Cheesesteak is not a thing I've ever grown up with. But holy hell... this is one of the more amazing things I've ever tasted. And if people from Philly are saying that there's better out there, I expect that to be heaven itself. Because I can't stop eating these, as it is. I just get the regular ol' cheesesteak w/ onions. And it's just incredible. I highly recommend one, to anyone that hasn't ever had the original before. ;) I wouldn't know either. I've never had an original from back east. For what this is, it's really really good. Give it a go. read more

Philly's Best - Fastened to the tip jar at the cashier. - Cheesesteaks Near Me - Burbank, California

I picked up a large order for my office and was very pleasantly surprised. Calling in the order was super quick and easy thanks to David, who is an all-star. When I arrived for the pick up it was ready to go and super hot/fresh. It was so amazing! David was great and made sure I had everything I needed. The sandwiches were super delicious as were the fries! My coworker who wanted a tastykake was ecstatic that they had his favorite one. We will definitely be returning here! read more

These are the best steaks with the word "Philly" attatched. You must offer whiz to be a real Philly cheesesteak. Good bread, good fresh sliced meat, good whiz, friendly service, good hot cherry pepers. Don't get too fancy, steak, whiz, wit (onions). Good price, $6.50 and they have a frequent sandwich club so your 11th is free. Soo good I had to have two last week...then I was Stuffed. The kids had a chicken steak last time we were there and they loved it. You can get fries with whiz too. read more

Delicious! I've never had a bad cheesesteak here. Generous meat portions with amazing flavor! Always have to go with extra cheese and they don't disappoint ;-) Staff is always quick, efficient and very friendly! read more

Why oh why do you have to be so delicious and unhealthy for me?!!!! Philly's Best had been bookmarked for over a year, finally made it out with the co-worker/Philly native. He ordered - which I loved - with Wiz and onions. Of course I asked "what did you order with wiz and onions?!" lol...apparently, no need to mention that I want the steak and bread, just what goes on it - got it! Also splurged and picked up a package of the tasty cakes. Yes, they are tasty! Light, fluffy, uber sweet...I wasn't complaining. The sando: How can something so simple, taste so good? Steak was cut supa thin, seasoned well, cheese oozing out, onions perfectly sauteed, bread incredibly soft. I ran that morning and took two dance classes that night... I will be back, hands down. read more

Phillys are pretty good but the dude that greeted me not only made me go back to my car to get a credit card (he didn't have enough change for $40) but then asked me if I wanted to leave a tip... it was unprofessional and on top of that, I drove 15 minutes to support the business in the first place. Just bad. read more

Love the sandwiches, but every order they ask do you like to leave a tip?? Why. No bueno

Love this place great philly steaks. Great fris. A little pricey but good food and good service get the dbl meat and it's a meal for sure. Tasty read more

I'm not from Philly, so I'm no expert, but these are damn good cheese steaks. The rolls are apparently flown in from Philadelphia as are the Birch Beer and Tasty Cakes. Unlike many other southern California Cheese Steak shops who go with regular old Mexican style jalapeno rings, these guys do the sliced cherry peppers that I am such a huge fan of. Do yourself a favor and try the cheese fries, for realzies, they are muy bueno. read more

I have had food in Philly. I love Philly. With that being said, hands down, Philly's Best is the best Philly Cheese stake you can find in LA. The service is good, never too busy and packed with meet. You have to ask for the cheese whiz, but they do have it. I love this place. There are other places that are almost as good, but we are not here to talk about them. The service is good, the food comes quickly and the price is not bad for what you get. For those who cant go to Philly, this place will have to do. Trust me... you will like it. read more

This place is far better than any other cheesesteak place in the valley! I get the pepper steak with cheese, and it's pipping hot when i get it. Their onion rings are great too!!! Not a fan of the fries, they're basic, but not bad. read more

I'm an avid Philly cheese steak sandwich fan. I actually prefer to cook my own version of Philly Cheese Steak sandwich from scratch with just the right proportions of wok-seared thinly sliced rib-eye steak, grilled mushrooms, onions, sweet bell peppers, American white cheese & my own special seasoning in a hoagie bun or amoroso roll. However, having just moved to a new home with many kitchen-related boxes still unpacked, my craving for a hearty PCS sandwich caused me to order one from Philly's Best, Burbank. I ordered their most expensive sandwich with everything on it. I didn't imagine I'd be treated to a ready-made chewy MICROWAVED SANDWICH! Needless to say, this sandwich ended up in the trash after the first bite. What a BIG LETDOWN! I guess there are folks who prefer a $$ microwaved sandwich ready to eat in 2 minutes, and really just don't care much about the quality of food they eat for their precious $s that's why this shop is still in business. To Philly's Best, you have potential, just do it from scratch guys. read more

Super chill spot. Staff was professional & friendly. Great music. I ordered the steak philly with cheese & onions along with fries and a rootbeer. The steak had a great taste & was tender (my 1 year old was able to have a few bites). The fries was fresh. I would be a regular if I didn't live so far away read more

I've been working in this area for about 4 years and never noticed this place until recently. And I have to say that I am really really really happy I found this place. I've never been to Philly so I don't know what an authentic cheese steak is supposed to taste like, but if it doesnt taste like this I don't want to even bother going to Philly, one of the best sandwichs I've ever had, definitely coming back soon. P.S. Amazing service!!! read more

Have been wanting to try this spot soooo bad!! Finally decided to drop in and grab a sandwich, I had the pizza steak and let me tell you it was not great at all. The sandwich was bland literally no flavor to the meat all I taste is the pizza sauce! Not even gonna bother finishing this pathetic excuse for a Philly cheesesteak!!! The fries were the best thing I had and still not great!!! read more

I'm typing this in a heavy food coma. I can't feel my fingertips. PHILLY'S BEST IS THE SHIT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! No joke. I was born in South Philly and grew up on Geno's cheesesteaks. When I think back, I remember meaty, cheesy goodness drenched in a sea of yellow. The only gripe I have with the South Philly Experience Cheesesteak truck, which is really good, was that they used white Wiz and didn't give enough of it. Philly's Best rectified this problem! I got a cheesesteak wiz witout. It came on a proper Amoroso roll. The chopped ribeye, which they cook in front of you, was perfect. And, the best part: it was all drenched in yellow American Wiz! Even though I was sitting, I had to do the "Philly Lean" so I wouldn't drip any cheese or grease onto my clothes. Philly's Best also offers Frank's sodas, Wise chips, and my favorite, TastyKakes. I cleaned them out of the Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes on my way out, so if you were looking for some after I left, I'm sorry. (Not really.) The shop is easy to get to off the 134 Freeway. Although their parking lot is small and fills up fast, you can park across the street in front of the Centinela Animal Feed store. I don't know about you, but I don't eat greasy food that often. I was so dizzy (but happy) afterwards that I was weaving in and out of my lane on my way back to Santa Monica. If I got pulled over, I would've blown cheesewiz all over a Chippie's PAS devise. read more

I've never had one of these sandwiches till about oct 2010. Didn't think id like it ,but now I'm addicted. The regular with cheese ,onions & mushrooms is The Best!!! Just down the street from South Street, they are both very good. While I prefer the meat at South Street, the bread is softer and tastier at Philly's Best. PB also has a more interesting menu for non-traditional cheesesteaks - I love to get pepperoni mixed into mine! read more

Philly's Best - Cheesesteaks Near Me - Burbank, California

Maybe I'm spoiled having come from the East Coast. Something that made me unreasonably joyous was the menu above the counter, whose design matched those at Jim's--that black-and-white, old-fashioned look--and the tribute on the wall to Jim's, Pat's, and Geno's, the three best cheesesteak joints in Philly. A sign says the buns are imported from Philly, which is neat. The cheesesteaks were satisfying, but didn't have the "wow" factor of a Philly original. Less flavorful than I was hoping. I dumped on a bunch of Old Bay seasoning, provided at each table, and enjoyed every remaining bite! read more

The last time I came here I swear it was my best visit yet. Maybe it was because they just opened and we seemed to be the 1st customers through the door. Or maybe it was the fact that I had just gone on a hike and was STARRRVVINNG but none the less this place delivered. Always a warm and friendly smile from the staff and they are more than willing to help you make a decision . I Usually split a pepper steak with American cheese and a side of fries well done. Half is more than enough for me and I let my boyfriend eat most of the fries. They aren't skimpy with their meat . If you haven't been here give it try you won't be disappointed read more
