I just moved here to PA this week and once I secured a place to live I got excited to see a pretzel shop at the bottom of the hill from me! I finally had a chance to go in and the crew was in the process of cleaning up. I asked if they were closing and I received a curt reply from the young person of no. After looking for a moment I was asked if I knew what I wanted, I explained it was my first time trying the shop and I got an eye roll haha she proceeded to just stand there staring at me and I had to ask if she would suggest anything. I was told she could not. So I grabbed some Philly stuffed pretzels, a pretzel dog and a pretzel, I asked which mustard or any sauce I should try I was told I should know if I would like spicy or not, but there were so many other flavors. I just grabbed a honey mustard and a spicy. The Philly pretzels were old and hard to chew I could only eat one. The pretzel dog was soggy and wet on the bottom and hard on top. My regular pretzel was weird! I literally have nothing positive to say except it was nice and clean inside and I thought it looked super cute outside. I definitely wouldn't go back! For relatively cheap, you can get Philly-style pretzels a la carte. They also sell nuggets (both salted and cinnamon sugar), dips, and hotdog pretzels. A woman was walking out with a giant party tray of pretzels, so that's an option for your next get-together. The service was fast and friendly. Like I said, I don't have a major nostalgia connection to Philly-style pretzels, so to me, they were just okay. We absolutely love Philly Pretzel Factory. The pretzels are always fresh and delicious. My husband is addicted. When we drive anywhere remotely near it, he must stop. We normally get the soft plain pretzel rods. Sometimes, we go nuts and get the cinnamon sugar which is decadent. Once we really we nuts on my 40th birthday and got a pretzel platter for my party. Everyone loved it. Some day, I will splurge and get the pretzel dog. It looks so good. If you love soft pretzels like I do, check them out. We called and ordered a pretzel tray with dogs and nuggets that came with two sauces in tubs (we chose cheese and mustard and added a cinnamon sugar). We wanted to take this to a tailgate party so it worked out great. There were two women working at the location when I went in to pick it up and they had the order ready for us. It comes on a huge plastic tray with a domed cover on it. The pretzels and dogs were good. I think the price was a little high but maybe in line with what every place is charging these days. Unfortunately, I was let down a little bit by the long wait time for our order and that most of the pretzels seemed to be a little over cooked because they weren't very soft. Still, the flavor of the pretzels were good, there's a handful of yummy sauces to choose from, and the price is decent. I had a great experience with Philly Pretzel Factory! I was hosting an event next door at Necromancer Brewing and knew I wanted to provide some light snacks that would pair well with beer. These soft pretzels were perfect! I tried to place the order online, but for some reason it would not accept my order. I called and did it over the phone and it was super easy. 100 soft pretzels is only $68?! What a deal. I called when I was on my way to pick them up and the employee notified me that they would be coming out of the oven in about 10 minutes. They were hot and ready right on time. The employees were super friendly and the pretzels were great! I added honey mustard and cheese, but should have remembered to ask for spoons for the cheese sauce. The pretzels were soft and smelled/tasted fresh! The employees were so friendly when I picked up the order and even helped me out to the car with them. I was in the area and did not even Know about the Pittsburgh Pretzel Factory until I drove past it. I swore on my way back I would stop and check the place out. The place is pretty big and they do all there own baking right on premises. I got 3 pretzels to go. I did not even make it to the car before I started eating the freshly made hot pretzel. The pretzel was totally delicious. They make all sorts of platters and other types of pretzel type items. The guy behind the counter was very nice and super helpful. Great customer service. The prices are great as well. This is definetly my go to lace for great fresh hot pretzels. You can be sure I will be going again and again. read more

PPF is one of my favorite places to stop to get a quick bite. Each and every time I come here, I'm greeted with nothing but smiling faces. There's always so much to choose from- regular pretzels, cinnamon, rivets, trays, pretzel dogs, etc. The list goes on an on!! I love that you can always see someone in the back making fresh pretzels. This ensures that the pretzels aren't sitting out all day long and are made frequently. My personal favorite is the pretzel dog. It's always cooked to perfection and warmed just right. You can never go wrong with the classic pretzel though. And the cinnamon one.... actually who am I kidding they're all fantastic. Each pretzel has a unique dip that pairs perfectly with it. They even sell big containers of the dips if you're really feeling it. Oh! I forgot to mention they have coffee in this location as well!! They offer French vanilla flavored or a breakfast blend. The coffee is always fresh as well and is amazing. You definitely have to try a cup! Lastly, this establishment is always so clean. For how much they're cooking in the back, I would think there would be salt everywhere and little pretzels hiding everywhere. That's certainly not the case here. It's kept so nice and clean which is very important in the food industry. Did I mention they can bless your party/ gathering with the most delicious trays of pretzels? I've gotten a full size tray of rivets so many times and I feel like they never go bad for the whole time of the event. You even get 3 big dips when you get this tray! I am updating my review after being contacted by the business owner Scott K. shortly after posting my original review. With that said, Scott was very responsive and I truly feel he wanted to make things right. And while We both agree that without him present, similar situation may happen, Scott assured me that he would be talking to his staff so they understand how their behavior and interactions can affect a new business. It is inevitable that there will be bad apples here and there, I do think Scott has taken measures to not only do right by me, but for future customers. I was provided with a large party tray that I took to work for coworkers to make up their own minds on quality. I am happy to say, this tray was great. Like night and day compared to the stale rivets I received on my previous visit. Everyone enjoyed the tray which included a large tub of cheese, one of honey mustard and one of cinnamon butter. I liked them all. I'd still suggest that at least one dipping sauce of choice should come with each order. As for the service, this experience was far superior. The employees were both friendly and welcoming and helped me quickly get my order and be on my way. Everything looked sanitary and the display case was in good order. Between Scott's communication and willingness to right a wrong, demonstrated improvement in staff appearance and professionalism, along with a superior product, I am happy to update my review to reflect a proper experience the way it should be. Order a tray days in advance for 1145am pick waited 20 minutes in line so at this point it was passed my pick up time. When I got to the counter our tray wasn't even ready and was thrown together in front of me! The pretzel bites were great but the mini dogs had a fowl taste to them and everyone at the party had commented on the bad taste. I do not recommend. read more

Since the hockey playoffs started, my friends and I all get together at each others house's for each game. Since tonight is my night to host I wanted to do something different. I was at a party a few months ago and saw one of their pretzel trays and it was pretty good. So I figured to go in and check it out. When I walked in I was greeted by a tall blonde girl who was super friendly. It was my first time there so I had no idea what I was doing but she took her time with me and showed me all their party trays, I didn't even know they had all those options. She suggested the little hot dogs and the small bite pretzel tray and it came with two of the bigger dips. I was worried I was too late to order one but a guy said it would take less than 10 minutes for him to bake and throw together the tray. I got the nacho cheese and honey mustard and added on that cinnamon dip. I was so surprised with how fast they got the tray ready and the service was incredible and they both were super friendly. I love this place! My husband drives past on his way home from work. He makes a point of stopping at least once a week. The pretzels are always soft and warm. They have some stuffed with hot dogs, pizza topped, nuggets or just pretzels. They also have dipping sauces and party platters. The pretzels are delicious and I would recomend them. read more

I have been getting pretzels here for every tailgate or party I have! They are always delicious! My guests absolutely love them and there are never any left. I was having a 30th bday party and was running around picking up beer and other food and ended up arriving an hour late than the time I scheduled to pick up my pretzel tray. I placed an order for two party platter trays of pretzel bites recently via UberEats. Only one tray was delivered by accident. After calling the Philly Pretzel factory and speaking on the phone to a very nice young lady who was very apologetic, they prepared the second platter for me and threw in an extra cinnamon sugar pretzel free of charge, which I was able to to pick up at their shop. I'm very pleased with their effort to make things right and will certainly order from them again in the future! The pretzels were very delicious! read more

I wrote a review before on this place but it got taken down for some reason. All it contained was a story of a trip i had made there to pick up some pretzels and i had a less than pleasant experience. The girl that helped me had come down with food poisoning but she said that they still made her go into work, even though she had thrown up many times throughout the day and a number of times while she was at work, which is not very appetizing. She still managed to be very helpful and reassure me that she had been doing a good job not to spread any germs. A hard worker, but obviously not a very solid managing system. I think it should be known that the manager not only allowed, but forced this sick girl to work and serve food to people. Would not recommend. read more
