The owner also writes for an automotive blog, which is where I found him. Unfortunately, I found their services to be not everything that I had hoped for, based on the promises made on their website In particular, their Basic Package offers, among other things, Comprehensive Evaluation, Vehicle Recommendations, and Technical Comparison. I took a survey and emailed a follow-up indicating that I was primarily looking for a sedan, although I had been considering an SUV. I received an email suggesting one sedan and 4 SUV options. When I replied and asked questions, there was no effective follow-up responding to my concerns. I asked for suggestions for technical support online and to be able to do my own research, but receive no suggestions and no offer of direct support regarding my questions. It has been a long time since I have purchased a car - over 15 years - so I was hoping for more in this process. I don't mind paying for professional assistance and expertise, but it was not forthcoming in this case. The Premium Package, which is what I purchased, includes the Basic Package and also offers, among other things, Negotiating Support, and Full-Service Negotiations, regarding pricing. It appears that only 2 dealers were contacted to find pricing on the car and configuration I eventually chose. When I contacted the owner to confirm whether this was the case, I received no reply, so I had to conduct follow-up price negotiations on my own and without any support, as promised. In the end, I was able to obtain additional accessories on the car I wanted at no additional cost for the car. Since I was paying Automatch for these services, they should have been the ones to do this, not me. Perhaps I would have had a better experience if I lived on the East Coast where this business is located, or if I had been looking for a specific used car, instead of a new car which ended up having to be ordered. But based on what was offered and the owner's assurances, I didn't think beforehand it would be an issue. I'm not complaining about the cost of the service, only that the service that was promised was not delivered.
