Tom is simply amazing. My story is a little different but the end result is the same. I met Tom…read morewhile I was on the way to a dealership to look at a car. During that short drive, Tom found another (even better) car at the same dealership for me, contacted the dealership to set up viewing/test drives for both cars, and spoke with the dealership's manager. When I arrived everything was ready to go. After I test drove the car Tom found for me, he saved me a substantial amount of money by negotiating a reduced price for the car, increasing my trade-in value, and reducing the extended warranty cost. He also prepared me for avoiding the various traps one could fall into. More importantly, as a car enthusiast, it's just flat-out nice and refreshing to talk to someone who is also a car enthusiast. Tom has a passion for cars and it's obvious this is what he loves to do. He cared as much about my car purchase as I did and he was just as excited as I was about what I ended up buying. That really matters to someone who cares deeply about the car and will only buy the exact, perfect vehicle. If you're looking to buy a car, there is literally no reason not to call Tom - unless you don't enjoy saving money and time, that is.

He conducts research based on your preferences and returns with great options tailored to your feedback. Most importantly, he ensures you stay aligned with your initial goals. He arranges a test drive, and when you're ready, he negotiates an excellent deal for you. After that, you just sign the paperwork and drive away in your new car. This was the most convenient and enjoyable way to lease a vehicle. It helped me avoid everything I dislike about traditional car shopping. It's definitely worth the investment. I would never consider going into a dealership to negotiate for a vehicle.

I hadn't bought a car in 20 years and really didn't know what model/ make would be a good fit me. Tom helped me narrow my options, recommended which cars I should test drive, found listings for me. I wanted to buy used, but something that would feel nicer than the Mazda 3 I had before. Tom is so knowledgable, known in the industry, has great relationships with dealers even out here in California. He helped me find a car that was much better than my default idea I had for myself (Rav4) a great deal, did the negotiation with the sales manager, and got me a great deal I would recommend Tom to anyone who's lost, or needs some help navigating buying used or new. It's so worth it!

Automatch is a car finding and buying service that helps people find cars and negotiate prices with…read moredealers. Per its website, "Our comprehensive vehicle evaluation provides you with personalized recommendations based on your needs. We do the work for you to get you the best car for the best price." The owner also writes for an automotive blog, which is where I found him. Unfortunately, I found their services to be not everything that I had hoped for, based on the promises made on their website In particular, their Basic Package offers, among other things, Comprehensive Evaluation, Vehicle Recommendations, and Technical Comparison. I took a survey and emailed a follow-up indicating that I was primarily looking for a sedan, although I had been considering an SUV. I received an email suggesting one sedan and 4 SUV options. When I replied and asked questions, there was no effective follow-up responding to my concerns. I asked for suggestions for technical support online and to be able to do my own research, but receive no suggestions and no offer of direct support regarding my questions. It has been a long time since I have purchased a car - over 15 years - so I was hoping for more in this process. I don't mind paying for professional assistance and expertise, but it was not forthcoming in this case. The Premium Package, which is what I purchased, includes the Basic Package and also offers, among other things, Negotiating Support, and Full-Service Negotiations, regarding pricing. It appears that only 2 dealers were contacted to find pricing on the car and configuration I eventually chose. When I contacted the owner to confirm whether this was the case, I received no reply, so I had to conduct follow-up price negotiations on my own and without any support, as promised. In the end, I was able to obtain additional accessories on the car I wanted at no additional cost for the car. Since I was paying Automatch for these services, they should have been the ones to do this, not me. Perhaps I would have had a better experience if I lived on the East Coast where this business is located, or if I had been looking for a specific used car, instead of a new car which ended up having to be ordered. But based on what was offered and the owner's assurances, I didn't think beforehand it would be an issue. I'm not complaining about the cost of the service, only that the service that was promised was not delivered.
