I called and asked about a car I saw online to see if it was still available. After he said it was, I left and drove a hour to get there. When I got there he said it sold with no other explanation other than a shrug. The lot opened at 10, I called at 11 and got there at 12. I understand he's got to sell cars but a call would have been nice. He knew I was coming form out of town because I said it would take me an hour to get there and he mentioned the area code on my phone number when I was there. read more

Sketchy, sleazy, and insulting. Stay far, far away. I called here yesterday to inquire about a used Mini Cooper they were advertising. On the phone, the owner was skeptical that a female would be able to drive a stick shift car. I assured him that I can. Over the phone he told me that there was nothing visibly wrong with the car and everything was functioning well, so I told him I'd drive 45 minutes to come see it. When asked about a carfax, he told me that carfaxes are not useful and too expensive for him to get on every car he sells. Ok, so that's BS, but I thought I'd go see it and get my own carfax if I liked it enough. I show up and he has the car already running. The molding around the windows is held on by what looks like superglue. The driver's side door opens, but it quickly becomes apparent that the passenger side door and liftback don't open except from the inside. The heated seat buttons don't light up. The LED temp gauge is dark. Nothing electrical seems to work at all. So I took the key out of the ignition and walked in to the office to tell him thanks, but I don't need to test drive the car and that the electrical system is not working. He began trying to convince me that "it's cold outside! you are impatient! heat seaters will turn on when the car warms up" as he ogled me creepily. I politely expressed the sentiment of "nope, that's total crap" and turned to go. As I left, he laughed to his coworker that I must really not be able to drive a manual. Gross. Something must be wrong with the lady that wrote the first review, she lives in Portland and called Philadelphia to ask about a car that 100 % she was not going to buy, then wrote a bad review about the salesman that knew she was not going to buy the car and was just wasting his time. Doesn't she have anything better to do? Ilan's auto sales is a first class place to buy a used car. The service is fantastic! They have a "no-pressure" approach to the sale, which you don't find at a lot of car businesses, or any sales businesses. Even after you make a purchase, they do whatever they can to make sure you are happy and that if a problem does come up, they do what they can to take care of it. Hands down, the best place to find a new car. I love my 2010 Honda civic I bought from them 2 weeks ago. Great Israeli family owned business, where you can find respect, a great deal, and a business man who goes above and beyond for his customers. These people are not pushy at all like most other car dealerships. They really want their customers to be happy with the car they purchase. I had the golden opportunity to visit Ilan's Auto Sales twice this year the first time I visited to look for a Saturn Vue. The Saturn Vue that was on the lot was a beauty...although the mileage was too high and it was a hybrid....I did not want to interest myself in....However it was sold with the quickness..the next time I went to visit was to look at a Pontiac Torrent Suv that was offered to me...to my suprise this vehicle was something that caught my attention the moment I looked at it and test drove it...and guess what..... I would highly recommend buying a car from this business. We went looking for a Jeep Wrangler for our daughter and all of the employees went out of their way to find us the right car in their inventory. They made us very comfortable while waiting for the car to come over from their second lot. The owner Ilan was very polite and pleasant to discuss business with as well as offering a good deal for the vehicle. He was even willing to wait for us to go home to get our daughter so she could look at the car herself, even though it meant keeping the shop open pass closing. I was very disheartened with my experience with this used car dealership. I needed a dependable car for my daughter. I found a 2011 Jeep Wrangler sport soft-top which was for the most part in very good condition. There was rust on the external of the vehicle, which was a concern and prompted me to ask about rust on the undercarriage. There were some mechanical issues that needed attention (ie. check engine light kept going on, seatbelt sensor, and tire pressure sensor), I had questions about the amount of rust on the undercarriage, and I wanted to take the soft top off to make sure I understood how to do it correctly. The salesman Mike assured me things would be repaired and he would give me the name and phone number of the auto shop who had done the work. He would not take the top off stating how difficult it was to put back on, and even though I had brought up a video of someone doing it, he declined. Mike kept saying multiple times and stressing to me how "Hot" this car was and how he had kept getting inquiries about the car and could sell it in a heartbeat. Since the car was perfect for what I had wanted, I decided to put a deposit down. Unfortunately, that is where things stopped. I never heard back about the mechanical issues being corrected, I never received the carfax I had asked about, I was never sent the auto mechanic name and number so that I could ask about the underbody and rust, was never able to take the soft top off, and to make the situation worse, Mike sold the car out from under me even though he had a small deposit on the vehicle. I had gotten sick and was unable to contact them for a few weeks, however, when I did, I spoke with the owner Ilan. He was very apologetic but was unable to do anything about the situation. I wish things had ended differently, It could have been a nice vehicle for my daughter. It was just very poor business practice. read more
