The first locksmith we contacted told us we'd have to replace the entire door and frame since it was all metal, which we got quotes for $5-8k. We called Key of E, hoping they'd have other ideas. Clint identified the exact problem with the lock (the previous guy wouldn't say more than "it's just broken"). and went through a lot of options with us. With his help, we were able to find a similar replacement lock from another overseas manufacturer, and he got it installed and working smoothly, no fuss, for less than $200. He's the exact kind of contractor you wish was the norm--friendly, helpful, and determined to get the job done well. We're so grateful!

Updates!! Thank you!!…read more 28Mar2023 -- (HE FIXED IT! Read all!) for some reason the key fobs for both vehicles I had made don't work by proximity. I have to hold the key up to the start button. One of the key fobs is OEM and the other isn't - yet both aren't working as desired. They haven't been used as we had another key, but when we tested we were bummed. 1APR2023 I got a call and he came out to help examine the key fobs after I updated my yelp review. He opened the key fobs and showed me where water must have gotten inside the key fobs. After replacing the batteries on both of the devices they are working perfectly. It was a simple battery issue. He opened the fob and cleaned the inside of the key as well. Top notch!! Really appreciate his dedication to customer
