The first locksmith we contacted told us we'd have to replace the entire door and frame since it was all metal, which we got quotes for $5-8k. We called Key of E, hoping they'd have other ideas. Clint identified the exact problem with the lock (the previous guy wouldn't say more than "it's just broken"). and went through a lot of options with us. With his help, we were able to find a similar replacement lock from another overseas manufacturer, and he got it installed and working smoothly, no fuss, for less than $200.
