Sometimes I throw business cards away, sometimes I scan them with a note akin to 'don't ever use'…read moreand sometimes.... sometimes... the business card gets placed near my computer so I remember to write a yelp review as soon as I have a moment. You know... if they were superb, fantastic and all that jazz. Rumsfield's card got put next to my computer. Here's why: - Answered phone, Took information, Made appointment - Came when he said he would - Assessed situation and fixed it up lickety split. - Charged me in relation to the complicated-ness (or lack there-of) of my problem. (Read: DIDN'T try to charge me $300 for something that ended up being minor.) - Friendly and personable in just the right proportion. Really can't think of even a single thing I'd improve. Stellar. For the curious: My problem was one of those embarrassingly simple ones. Some of my outlets mysteriously stopped working. Not ALL of them, just some. (I've mentioned before that while I don't shy from garage tools and the like, electricity is a fear. Silly, but true. Thus, I was not the person who was gonna be opening up outlets and poking around at wires.) Anywho... As it turns out...the problem was just some connections that were poorly installed. Adjust, tighten, re-do and all was good. That was a few months ago and I've had zero problems since. His remedy has truly stood the test of time. Thank you !

We had first hired him to remove a wall in our kitchen and he did a good job, so we hired him again…read more(and paid him up front) to install some kitchen cabinets that we had purchased. The second time is when all the excuses happened--that his crew stopped showing up, he couldn't make it that day due to child care issues, didn't have a vehicle, etc. He would never reach out and only make excuses when you call him out on it. We eventually got him to install the cabinets over two weeks after he said he was originally going to get it done, and then he ghosted us and never finished installing the trim around it (that was in the agreement for him to complete).

They used a high quality stain, great wood, and their craftsmanship was impeccable. The result is a deck that friends always comment on and that will last me for many years. On top of being high quality, Randal is a native Austinite who has been here and building for many years, not some fly by night new company so he really cares about his reputation. I highly recommend using Current Construction for any work you need done.

He was very personable on the phone and quoted a very reasonable rate for the install. He showed up at a time convenient to us and immediately started working. About two hours later , he had completed the install, including cleanup. The door fit perfectly and our dog was able to begin using it immediately. I appreciated the fact that Mike explained the process without talking down to me. I found him trustworthy because of that. I would recommend MW Contracting to anyone with any job, big or small. I know that if I ever need general contracting/handyman help, I will not hesitate to contact Mike again.

Jim and Shauna are in every sense of the word - professionals. They practically scoured every inch…read moreof the home and found everything that a casual untrained eye wouldn't. Interior, exterior... everything was covered including rooftops. They used tools to measure the ventilation and insulation inside the home, and found all the small imperfections you and I probably would never notice early into our home ownership. You'll probably find out about them later on, though and that would be bad on your end because fixing it at that point may be your liability. You need to find all those little problems in the nooks and crannies now so that they can be resolved before you move into your new home. Jim and Shauna gave us that peace of mind, knowing we got a great checklist of things that needed to be looked at before we were comfortable spending that kind of money on a new home. They basically wrote a thesis of their findings in a very proper and professional looking report that was sent electronically after the home inspection. Great duo, good charming people, personable & professional - thanks Jim and Shauna. Looking forward to doing business with these two again in the future; they come very highly recommended!
