Like the sign says, they do make keys that actually work. And as far as I'm concerned, the only place in town that actually makes keys at work. I've had trouble with any other business. I've gotten keys cut with. These guys are personable friendly, and will get you taken care of. If you are just a walk in to get keys made, I suggest you come the first hour they're open. I've been doing business with Larry Dickens for years. This week, I lost my car keys temporarily in the snow. His tech came out and quickly replaced my key. The price was not cheap, but worth being able to drive my car. After the snow melted, I found my keys and was excited to have a spare key finally. I didn't know, however, that my original key would no longer work. When I went back by to have my original key made operational again, I was told there would be a charge for this. Had I been told ahead of time that there would be an additional charge to have both keys working, and not just one, it may have influenced my original decision to have a duplicate made. In the end, they only charged me $25 (instead of $125) like they were doing me a favor. These guys seem very good at their job, but apparently their customers have to have inside knowledge of the locksmith business in order to make informed decisions, instead of relying on the professionals to give them all of the information. Being a small business owner myself, I do not take this kind of unscrupulous action lightly. I will no longer be doing business with dickens locksmith. It's OK, though... They seem fine with that. I've been having a a whole fiasco and a half with my car since Sunday (it's now Wednesday). If I could explain it over texts without writing a book I would, however it's been a huge deal. I drove it to Dickens this morning and had a pretty difficult case but Jason and Mr. Dickens (Larry) we're absolutely wonderful. They went way above and beyond the high expectations I had walking in the door this morning. After today I understand why they have been in business for 26 going on 27 years and still going strong. I'm normally not a review person "good" or "bad" service unless someone goes to the length like they did for me today. It's easy to give good customer service, now exceptional service is a whole other story and that's what I received from them today. The man who came out to our Airstream camper was very courteous and helpful. While my husband purchased the wrong lock he tried his best fix the one that was in there. However pieces had disintegrated. He told me to return the lock I had a dream then showed me how to lock the door short term.
