We have purchased 7 new cars with 7 different dealers and this experience was not even close to our other past experiences. One word explains our experience....Exceptional! We drove almost three hours for a specific vehicle that only they had and they worked with us over the phone to where all we had to do was sign papers when we got there. Jeffrey in sales was the most courteous and knowledgeable car salesman we have worked with. You can tell he has been doing this for a while and he knows how to conduct business. Robbie in finance was so patient with us and made us feel like family. We never felt pressured with any decision, he simply gave us the information and educated on certain aspects to think of when selecting services like extended warranties. Called them in the morning, they didn't have one but would go get it, if we could bring the truck by 'in about an hour.' PRIOR US CUSTOMS AND VETERAN After an attempted transaction with the dealership, I left it very disappointed in their antics. It is not unheard of for a dealer to lowball you on your vehicle but to offer under auction and under any other previous offer, I found ridiculous. Everyone has to make money right! If that were the kicker I would let it go. With the low bid on my vehicle they actually went UP on sticker price for the vehicle of interest. Photographic proof available! Okay, this is my third time comes here. About who knows how many times I have try calling to make appointment, I have left messages with no return call. The service department is horrible, all parts of it from the way they greet you to answering the phones when someone does answer. The Jackson location is closer to me coming from canton. But I'll continue to drive to the Brandon location. read more

Phil Moore GMC service department employees that we dealt with are the most rudest, unprofessional and incompetent individuals I have ever done business with. However, they treat you as if you're incompetent because they have the title. We had Our vehicle towed to Phil Moore GMC in Jackson, MS to have it diagnosed and we were told we needed a new key and the Computer needed to be replaced. We was also told it would be a delay in receiving the new key and the computer system because both parts would have to be ordered. As a result having to wait so long on parts our car was hit in the parking lot. Which they repaired. Fast forward the Car was fixed and good to go. so we thought. once we noticed the horn nor the windshield wipers worked, but that was the least of our worries. we said we would stop by and have them to look at it, maybe something wasn't programmed right. Unfortunately, the car shut down again leaving my husband stranded. He was an hour and half from Jackson. I spoke with Blake honestly,he was nice about trying to figure a solution in getting the car back to the dealership, but there was no solution other than us coming out of our pocket to have it towed back to the dealership. Once we got the car back the dealership and them having it several more weeks, communication stopped. At that point I called for the supervisor, however the supervisor never returned my call instead, miraculously I received a call from Blake saying the car was ready and it was just the battery. We received the car back once again but this time the car was worse than before having some of the same issues and would not go over 40 mph. At that point we called to speak to the Service Supervisor, MR. ROLLAND, he was very rude and unprofessional after we spoke to him about the issues we were having he said "I'm familiar with that vehicle, all it needs is a battery,(we had already replaced the battery)and there was nothing wrong with that vehicle and we're not going to get blamed for everything that's wrong an older vehicle and that's not up to par anyway". I said sir we're not playing a blame game we just want what we paid for fixed and a running vehicle. He advised us to bring it back in but of course I was hesitant because I knew it wouldn't work out in our favor. We was quoted a ridiculous amount for a total different issue. I will never have another vehicle service at Phil Moore GMC again. My advice to the Service Supervisor, MR ROLLAND learn compassion, empathy, customer service skills and some professionalism. read more

My contact person Mitch answered my phone call while he was shopping in Pets Mart on his day off. Paula and everybody in service will blow you away. My vehicle is always ready ahead of schedule and is cleaner than when I left it with them. Speaking of clean their facilities sparkle. Went to a used car dealership with not that great of credit. They financed me a car (that is why there is 2 starts) but besides that, I can not say much. They had me sign papers before I came in with my down payment (which was $900 so I had to get a little loan from my company.) So I had to pay late fees for registration because they turned in the papers before i even had the car. I got new breaks on all 4 tires because they were all gone after 3 months of driving. All I can say is the used car side to this dealership is a stereotype of used car dealerships. I wouldn't go to them again. read more

Great service, love it that I am able to drop my car off and they give me a ride to work then call me when it is done.

I went in for an oil change and purchased their "special" for oil, filter, tire rotation, and "27-point" vehicle inspection. This inspection is the main reason I wanted to come to a dealership, as a monkey could be trained to change oil, but I want a mechanic with fresh eyes and experience with my specific vehicle make and model to take a look and tell me about any problems with the vehicle I may not have noticed. I generally only go to dealership once every several oil changes or so for this, primarily either changing the oil myself or using a cheaper local guy when I just don't feel like getting dirty. Price was advertised as $39.95. I scheduled an appointment and was told it would take about 45 minutes. I arrived slightly early and they brought my truck back slightly earlier than the appointed time. I sat around in the clean service area playing on my phone until about 50 minutes later they came and said it was ready. Then the first (admittedly tiny) problem popped up. I went to pay the bill and the woman behind the counter handed me an itemized invoice. The price was $39.95, plus tax (obviously acceptable), plus hazardous waste fee of $1.25(less acceptable), plus "shop supplies" charge of $0.81 (not acceptable, how are "shop supplies" not included in the package?). I asked the woman what that charge was for, and she didn't know but told me I could go back down to the actual service department and ask them. It's 81 cents, so I didn't really care at that point, and didn't press the issue. She then took my payment and handed me only a receipt and said to have a nice day, indicating that was all there was. Hmm... second issue. I asked about the inspection report and was told she didn't have one, but she caught another employee's attention and asked him to take me down to service and get the report. So, I ended up back in the service department anyway (would have been nice to not have already paid). Third and most serious issue: we went to the service area and the guy talked to the service employee with me standing there simply watching. She promptly looked up my truck's information on the computer to print it out, then discovered the inspection form hadn't been filled out. Without saying anything to me about it, she got on the phone and spoke with the mechanic who had done my service. She asked about the tire tread depth, "belts and fluids", and "was anything wrong?", and briefly (and incompletely) filled out the inspection report. Then she hung up, turned around, and said to me that everything was fine. I'm really not confrontational, instead I just move my business and let others know about my experience, so I only asked specifically if the belts were alright because one of them is squeaking. She called the mechanic again and asked specifically if the belts looked alright and mentioned that one squeaked. He apparently said it was fine, just needed to be tightened up a bit, and she hung up again. Then she printed out the "report" and handed it to me. No apology or explanation for the "report", and no further questions or suggestions for the squeaky belt. So, I left $40... no, $44.95 poorer and won't be going back anytime soon. Like I said, the main reason I went to the dealer is because I wanted an inspection, and what I got was an incomplete, probably made up, recollection by the mechanic that "everything's fine folks, no need to worry", typed in by the service secretary. What happened to "27-Point Vehicle Inspection"? Is my tire tread depth really 5/32" (needs to be replaced) as it says on the report? No, its more like 3/8" (practically new). What was the pressure in the tires? I won't know until I get home and check it myself, because its not on the report. My cracked windshield is magically now perfect as indicated on the report? I'm glad to see there weren't any issues with "belts: engine, accessory, serpentine, and/or V-drive", because that would mean I won't hear squeaking on the way out of the parking lot. I'm also glad you took out the cabin air filter that hasn't been cleaned or replaced in a couple years and said it was fine. And so on, and so forth. Bottom line: They get two stars because the initial contact and non-service employees were kind and sorta helpful, but the service, and particularly the "report", was complete BS, and my business will go to Fowler-Buick GMC next time I use a dealership. And if they don't provide a decent service, I'll switch to a Chevy dealer, or maybe go to Patty Peck Honda to ask if they'll do it even though the truck's a GMC. I've had excellent service at Patty Peck on my Civic numerous times and would highly recommend them. read more
