Came here to pick out a car because previously we had found a decent one there when looking (or so we thought). We found one we liked from Facebook yard sale, but after looking it, it wasn't a good deal. We eventually found an equinox on the lot we decided on, but it was an instant mistake. My brother in law works on cars so I had him check it out and the struts were bad. Even so, they didn't want to come off the 8,000 they sold it for. They said they would cover the labor costs for the struts but not the cost of the parts if we had it repaired in their shop so we got my BIL to order struts (about $300) (two months later we still have no struts on the car) and at their word they will put them on for free. We purchased and drove it home for the first weekend... didn't use it for two days, tried to go to work that Monday and the battery was DEAD. Had to get a new battery in it as soon as we purchased it (about $100). They said they would cover the cost, but again they didn't. They've been "holding" a check for two months to repay us for the battery we had to buy. Now the car is in the shop AGAIN because the entire transmission is gone. Spending another $3000 to get it fixed. As soon as I drove it I knew something was off with the way it was shifting, yet when we ran diagnostics on it previously nothing had come up. Seems very clear to me that this sales group is SHADY and cleared all the codes on the vehicle. I was even told the seat sensor for the passenger seat is messed up, meaning the air bag won't properly deploy. Funny how that code didn't come up when we were first looking at purchasing the car . This might be the first time in current history when getting "SWAGged out" was a bad thing. read more
