I have moved my practice twice in 3 years, never felt right at the two places. As soon as I came to visit Phenix in DB I said this is it! Anita is such a wonderful lady. She is kind, genuine, and ready to help at any time. First day I move in, I hurt my back and she was there to help me move my tables in. I had a squeeky door and the key was jammed, she fixed it right away. She takes all concerns seriously, very reliable and constantly work to improve the salon. I higly recommend this place. The hallways are kept very clean, no clutter. Bathrooms are immaculate! All tenants are professional and friendly. Great ambiance to be in. I can't wait to come to work everyday. Thank you, Anita and Phenix Salon for opening one in Diamond Bar.

During my pedicure, the technician accidentally nicked me hard enough to draw blood. Accidents happen, but there was no apology. When I politely asked if she could disinfect the area with alcohol since my skin had been broken, she acted annoyed that I even asked. During my manicure, I simply asked for her opinion on how to fix a broken nail and which color she thought would look best. Instead of being helpful, she looked visibly irritated. Later, I asked if she could apply one extra coat of polish, and she rolled her eyes. I actually found myself apologizing for making a simple request, which says a lot about how uncomfortable the interaction was. The saddest part is that the staff often make you feel like you're inconveniencing them simply by asking for the service you're paying for. It feels as though they're doing you a favor instead of providing customer service. No customer should feel guilty for politely asking a question or requesting something reasonable. This isn't an isolated experience either. Last month, my husband was also accidentally nicked during his appointment. We understand accidents happen, but it's the lack of care, empathy, and professionalism afterward that is most disappointing. As long-time customers, we expected to be treated with kindness and respect. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I sincerely hope management addresses the staff's attitude because the quality of the customer experience no longer matches the loyalty many of us have shown this salon.

For my service, I just did the pedicure with no color. The lady was very professional and had clean tools. I had no problem whatsoever! Rather than taking accountability for the conduct described, the owner attempted to dismiss the incident by characterizing the use of an unclean towel as a mere "misunderstanding." Such a response is deeply troubling and reflects a lack of transparency and responsibility. The issue was not a misunderstanding. The technician attempted to reuse a towel that had already been used on another customer during my sister's pedicure service. This was witnessed and confirmed by another customer in the salon. Only after being confronted did the technician stop disputing the matter and obtain a clean towel. The owner's attempt to minimize this conduct raises serious concerns regarding sanitation practices within the salon and whether similar incidents may have occurred previously without customers' knowledge. Equally concerning was the technician's conduct following the incident. While she attempted to adjust the water temperature after my sister notified the technician that the water was unbearably hot, she never apologized, or demonstrated any concern for my sister's comfort. Instead, she began scooping water from the pedicure basin with a bowl while my sister sat there visibly uncomfortable and distressed. At that point, my sister no longer felt safe or comfortable continuing the service because she had lost confidence in the technician's judgment, professionalism, and hygiene practices. What is most disappointing is the owner's response afterward. Rather than addressing the matter with empathy or accountability, the response came across as passive aggressive, dismissive, and condescending. The owner failed to acknowledge the seriousness of the conduct and instead appeared more concerned with deflecting responsibility than resolving the issue appropriately. Consumers have a right to know how concerns regarding sanitation, customer treatment, and professionalism are handled at this establishment. Based on this experience and the owner's response, I no longer have confidence in the integrity or management of this business.

I received a gift certificate and decided to use it before an upcoming vacation. After reading positive reviews about Jenny, I booked a gel manicure and regular pedicure with her. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. Jenny was unfriendly and seemed irritated throughout the appointment. I specifically requested that my cuticles not be cut, yet she repeatedly cut and filed them with a drill, causing discomfort despite my repeated requests to be more careful. I also had difficulty with the nail color selection. I chose a warm orange shade, but the color applied was a bright orange. When I pointed out the difference and asked for help finding a similar warm shade, Jenny appeared frustrated and told me to choose another color myself. Since the display colors did not accurately match the actual polish colors, this was difficult. Eventually, she suggested a darker red shade, which I accepted simply to move forward. Although she repeatedly assured me that she would "take care of me," the service did not reflect that. I even requested that someone else perform my pedicure, but she insisted on doing it herself. Once again, my cuticles were cut too closely. While I do not get my nails done often, I have had much better experiences elsewhere. Basic services such as properly cleaning the hands and feet, filing rough heels, and applying lotion seemed rushed or overlooked. Overall, the service felt minimal and far below what I expected from a salon called Luxury Nails. Sadly, this experience left me disappointed and unlikely to return.

I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure appointment on April 12, 2026. My first experience with them was wonderful so I decided to book again. This time instead of calling in I used the online appointment system. I clicked the techs I wanted and it was confirmed on the screen I would be serviced by them. I also added an appt for my husband a few days before my appt online and got online confirmation that we would be serviced at the same time. Day of the appt I got a text saying my tech would be late. I said that's fine and I would send my husband in to keep his earlier appt. They then told me that the online system was incorrect. We got to the salon and while my husband was getting his service, I was told my tech was booked and I would be with someone else. I told them I got online confirmation of the tech id be with, they said it was wrong. This is where it all went downhill. I don't even remember the girl's name but I was ensured she would do a good job. I don't get mani/pedi often so I was looking forward to this. She used an efile on my nails and, like a few other comments, filed my nails so thin that a couple broke in their parking lot. She didn't really speak to me because she could tell I was frustrated at the miscommunication and was also told by the front desk to call next time if I want a particular tech. This option shouldn't be available online if it doesn't work. My nails started to burn that when she finished cleaning my cuticles I cancelled the rest of the appointment. I was contacted by the salon to try to make things better, which I appreciate, however it shouldn't have come to this in the first place. Needless to say, here we are 5/20 and I have not gone back. My nails are still so brittle that you can visible see where the nail was filed down vs the new growth. The nail on my left pinky is lifting so I have to be extra careful with it. I really thought I found my new shop because it's much closer. My old nail spot has been servicing me for 20+ years so looks like I'll be making the trip back there.

However, before I had a chance to speak, she looked up and immediately told me to make an appointment online. It made me feel that she was not patient enough to listen to my question. I had not said anything yet and was just about to speak when she repeated that I should book online. I then explained that this was not my question -- I was asking about the available time slots online and the pricing. Although her tone of voice sounded gentle, her overall attitude felt impatient, and I felt that she was not interested in doing business. For context, I regularly spend over $200 per visit on manicures and I always tip generously. I was looking for a new salon nearby because my previous nail technician moved away, which is why I walked in to inquire. However, interrupting a customer before they even finish asking a question is, in my opinion, unprofessional. Of course, a business has the right to refuse service, but as a customer, I also have the right to share my experience. Based on this interaction, I don't believe the service at this salon would be very good. ------- I found the store's response, describing this as a "disturbance," quite laughable. I had not even begun speaking before I was interrupted. If you are unwilling to provide service, a sign stating so would be appropriate. However, the door was open and there is a " open" right in front of the door, clearly indicated that the business was operating, now you said that you don't want to be disturbed? How ridiculous! Of course , if you don't want to provide service , you can say " we are close " or " I am busy sorry", it is so easy. It is acceptable. Being cut off so abruptly before saying a single word made it clear that this business lacks the basic patience required for customer service. At the very least, I could have been told that they were busy and asked to return or speak later. Instead, I was simply interrupted without explanation. As business Mentioned " courteous ", I believe a courteous staff member would respond in this way, " sorry I am busy" " sorry we are close" and a courteous staff member would not consider a new customer's attempt to speak--before having the chance to finish--as an interruption. In their response, the business also labeled customer questions as "slander." Characterizing a customer's reasonable feedback as "slander" is itself a form of labeling. It shifts the discussion away from the actual issue and places an unwarranted accusation on the customer. With this type of attitude, it is difficult to understand how customers are expected to feel comfortable or respected. This response is disappointing, not because of disagreement, but because of its flawed logic. A customer raising a concern about an interaction is not an act of hostility, nor does it constitute slander. I left my comment on this platform with the expectation that, as a business owner, you would first reflect on the appropriateness of the staff's response. A simple acknowledgment or clarification would have been sufficient, and I would have been willing to try your services. When a business is open to the public, a respectful exchange between staff and customers should be the starting point. Interpreting customer questions or feedback as antagonism runs counter to the basic principles of doing business.
