I had issues trying to submit an order so I reached out to the email that is on their website. The issue was that I couldn't continue once I was in checkout so I took a screenshot of my window to send as feedback to the person emailing me back. I received a condescending response with "Wish you had included your phone number." Followed by telling me how others had successful orders but "anyways." A friend of mine was sitting next to me having the exact same issue but I told them to not bother. If your potential customers are having issues, it's better to not be condescending when answering their questions. We wanted to print with y'all but that type of customer service isn't what anyone wants to deal with. read more

WARNING!!! BE CAREFUL!!! When completing my thesis class, I had asked my advisor if they knew a good place to order from and so she recommended this place and another. I had picked this one and was happy with my final product. A year or less later I decided to surprise my bf with getting his project bounded as well with this same company. Long story short .... the final product DID NOT come out anything near the way mine did. The cover was sloppy and sticky and you could tell they had reused someone else's messed up cover and printed over it. Also, the university symbol was ridiculously smaller and such bad quality. "Like how did they think this was something their customers would want ?" I emailed and asked if they could please redo it and possibly also give me a discount or another book or something given the circumstances and I explained in further detail and they simply just returned my money and said they couldn't do anything about it. HORRIBLE customer service! They could have definitely done something about it, but chose not too. Be CAREFUL and BEWARE! Your hard work or someone's you love could be next. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!! The product looks nice. BUT the lack of communication available and the customer service is SO poor. The phone number they have is only to their printing workshop where they will just continue to tell you "email the info email becuase we dont know." SO if you try and make an order and want some validation you have to send an emai land just WAIT. AND if you send more than one email they will cancel your order and state "we work for speed adn quality and you sent too many emails so this could be a threat to our service we are cancelling your order." FOr me, I had never ordered pne before so i wanted to make sure I was ordering the correct things since i would be spending alot of money and instead they just cancelled it. The email additionally is TWO sperate sources so if you respond to one the other doesnt know so yo uhave to RESEND the same information and get flagged for sendign too many emails. They were not able to give me a phone number or answer any of my questions. They were not able to even tell me when my refudn would be showing up. THis leaves you kind of lost and helpless becuase there is no one to speak to. THANKFULLY I was able to order from bachelorprint.com where they nt only had a number should you need BUT they offered a visual proof of what you were orering so you cuold make the best choices so that your book binding comes out exactly as you need. OVERALL PhDbookbinding is POORLY run, lacks customer service, lacks communication, and they were very quick to disrepest me and still have not remotely told me anything regaridng my refund so they stil have my money and have cancelled myorder. :::::UPDATE:::: They called me stating now they magically did print my order (I have in an email them sayign they are cancelling it) and that they will be keepign my money and I will not be getting product now. The man was extremely condenscending stating others "who are capable" have not had this problem (Even tho I see on ehre other people statign the same thing). WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO PRINT YOUR THESIS! I paid over $500 for six copies of my thesis and all of them were defective in some way. I sent them back and was told that "this is our quality" and you can take it or leave it. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told he probably wouldn't call me back and he wouldn't offer any kind of discount for their sub-par work. They have shown such little regard for the quality of their products and making sure I was happy that it is shocking that this company is still in business. I was planning to re-design my thesis and have this company print it as a full-color book, but PHD Bookbinding has proven they cannot be trusted to deliver a quality product and worse, do not care. UPDATE: I had to keep the six low-quality copies of my thesis to meet my university's deadline. But I did email the owner of this company to politely ask him for a partial refund. His hateful reply reveals who this man really is and how he feels about his customers: "We were ready to give you a full refund, because you sent back the book. Then you said you no. So, we shipped the books back to you at OUR expense. Since you turned down the refund and we shipped the order back to you, we consider this the end of the matter. We do not give discounts. We will not be blackmailed or extorted into charging a lower price. No one here will reply to your email again." If you use this company to print and bind your work, you will receive low-quality work and this company will provide no service in any way when there is a problem. BEWARE. read more

My school is so specific on the binding and cover options that when I ordered something incorrectly, Debbie contacted me to double check if my order was correct so that I didn't get the wrong product back. Ok pricing. It's all hand done product and great quality. Can order anywhere in the country and submit in pdf format on their website. I was slightly apprehensive given the basic look and feel of their website, not to mention it threw up a PHP error during the submission process ! Nonetheless their service was very prompt and the quality of the finished product was very good, therefore I am giving PHP bookbinding 5 stars ! They consulted with me about the colour and font of the cover and were quite patient as I went through several different versions. As a consumer I look at product/company ratings all the time; however, I never post feedback or a rating. I know, shame on me. So, I am crossing the line and posting feedback. After successfully finishing my thesis I decided on Phd Bookbinding to print and bind the final document. I ordered the document to be printed on 24lb, 100% cotton, acid free paper and bound with the "fabric cover" and "gold foil covering." I submitted my order on the 16th of December, and it was shipped on the 23rd. They even contacted me before printing to make sure that I had submitted everything correctly, which made me feel more comfortable. When "shopping around," I contacted my local bookbinding company in Denver, CO and they said it would be five to six weeks for delivery, plus the printing options weren't clear. It is an amazing accomplishment to complete a thesis or dissertation, and I believe such a document should be preserved in the best way possible. Undoubtably it is an investment to have your work printed and bound; but, I assure you, you will be happy with this company's work. I highly recommend them, and I am a VERY picky person. read more
