Never coming back. I was invited to have an easy dinner with my parents who are 79 and 94. I talked…read morethem out of The Hat to get Philly's Best since I had been eating there for decades. My mother raced down to the store since closes at 6pm on Saturdays. She made it with 15 minutes to spare. A couple of older ladies were sitting in a booth eating. Behind the counter was a female putting stuff away and a male scraping the grill. The male took her order and she ordered a cheesesteak, an italian, and a club sandwich along with some fries. Upon ordering the club sandwich the male behind the counter told her they were not serving any sliced meat sandwiches. She asked do you mean cold sandwiches and he replied yes. He then proceeded to make the cheesesteak and the italian but not the club. He never cooked any fries and they appeared in a metal to-go container. The two sandwiches he did make were ok but the fries were the nastiest fries I have ever tasted in my life. They were clearly old fries, not even reheated. You should be ashamed to serve a human being that garbage. Now on to why we will never be back. Your posted hours of operation are 10:30 to 6pm on Saturday. You should be open those hours, not putting stuff away and telling customers you cant make them food because you want to close up shop early. Furthermore the bs excuse you gave was clearly a lie as you made the Italian sub which has 3 different kinds of sliced meat and I have never once seen anyone slice meat on the spot to make a sandwich at Philly's. You had no problem making 2 more sandwiches for the gentleman that came in as our food was being bagged up so logic says the time she came in wasnt an issue. That was before your posted closing hours. I felt like crap because I talked them out of getting The Hat, your competition right down the street and then your service and your food SUCKED. As I said, we wont be back. I hope you closing up shop early was worth it.

The restaurant in Lake Forest has plenty of seating in indoor and outdoor, and the staff are really nice. On this occasion I had Fries with pastrami and it was delicious! It is a little bit greasy, and I would've liked to have been able to order a smaller fries, because I ended up throwing away quite a bit of excess fries.

The generous portion of small size onion rings were barely warm. Not good at all. Normally, we would have gone back and asked for fresh ones but we eat so few, we let it go. Our drink order never made it on the ticket. We went back and were cheerfully assisted. Finally, the dining room needed attention. Normally, there's an amazing woman constantly cleaning up but neither she nor anyone else was present. There were several messy tables that needed cleaning. Urp. There's something magical about this location that was sorely missing today. The Hat's Pastrami Dips and onion rings are a rare treat but today felt like punishment. We will come back when we start Jonesing for pastrami but don't think it'll be anytime soon. Our arteries may thank us but we are bummed.

Greetings loved ones! Let's talk sandwiches! Brandon isn't the biggest fan, but he likes me enough…read moreto enjoy one every now and then! We went to this casual and local spot in Laguna Hills that serves the community! Walking in, you're greeted with a bright place that is filled with people from all walks of life, just eating lunch and taking a breather from work. That's how you KNOW you've got a gem on your hands. We went on a not-so-busy weekday, but there was still a decent crowd! I got a classic, the humble BLT. The great J. Kenji Lopez-Alt is credited with the sentiment that a BLT is a tomato sandwich first, and I agree with him. The tomatoes are the star of the show, with bacon and lettuce taking a backseat both flavor and function-wise. With the pepper jack on a whole wheat baguette, I can't complain here. It's a simple, tasty sandwich that I have trouble faulting. You get what you get, and it's a great way to have a feel-good sandwich without the heavy after effects of some others. And I...I got the italian. It's your gabagool-filled sandwich that you've gotta love! That's right, there's Gabagool, Moe-tah-dehll, salaam, pepperoni, and provolone! Top that with olives, banana peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, and you're in business. It's got a wonderful deli-meat texture, and the familiarity of the sandwich is just plain comforting. One bite into this thing, and it was like being transported into the past. Things were easier back then. These are the cold sandwiches, but their hot ones are also crazy! We're told they're even better! Come by and try it out for yourself. If you want the stuff that knows your belly, why not come try out Moe's Deli!?

I'm so serious when I say this, this breakfast burrito might've been the best breakfast burrito…read moreI've ever had. I'm someone that loves food tripping and breakfast burritos are something I eat often, but this one was other-worldly. The custom pick of protein, the cheese, and jammy sunny side up eggs inside, the crispy tater tots, and the tenderly crunchy griddled tortilla; it was incredible. And if you think I'm overplaying how good it is, then your loss; you don't get to try it. Anyway besides how good the burrito is, service is great! They made my food quick and were attentive to the things I needed. The inside is nice and there's good seating inside, maybe not enough for a big party, but there's a couple two-top tables and a bar seat counter (no bar, just bar counter). HIGHLY recommend! I've been living in RSM for the past couple years and I have zero clue how I'm just finding out about this. Gem alarm!

So so good!
