My first experience after returning to the island after a 5 year absence was not positive. I was waiting for a prescription, being faxed from my former abode town. I checked 3x in person, ld phone calls to my doctor's office and finally after being rather assertive about their checking for the faxed presciption, it turned out that a staff member had put it in her pocket the first time it arrived, and not until I was assertive about it, did she suddenly remember that she had put it in her pocket! All of the staff were extremely unfriendly (even before I got assertive), and frankly rude. I finally did get my prescription for pain medication for a severe headache that I had been suffering from for two days. I again needed to use this pharmacy and decided to call ahead to ensure that what had happened the first time wasn't going to occur again. The pharmacist assured me that someone would call me when they had received the prescription, after I told her about the first negative experience. She did indeed ring me to say she hadn't received it yet, and that she would be away the next day but had left a clear note for the staff and that I would get a call. Today is Wednesday and after confirming with my pharmacist (another long distance call) that he had indeed sent it, I went into the store to find out if it had been received. My prescription had been sitting there since Friday, and not one of the staff had called me. I spoke to the staff member there, who immediately blamed it on the pharmacist, saying that unless she had left a note where they could find it, or that it could have been passed over. I will not use this pharmacy again and will use the one down the hill, though I am unsure as their efficiency.
I will be letting the pharmacist at this store what has occurred and I am sure she will be ever so happy to hear that her staff member put the blame squarely on the pharmacist's shoulders. Poor customer service all round with respect to the pharmacy in my opinion and experience thus far.. read more
