This location is... Odd. First, I asked for assistance in the makeup section. They had testers for a few colors of lipbalm but not all in a particular brand. I asked the S.A. if she would be able to make one of the products a tester since this particular color did not have one. She hesitated, said 'no' that only her manager (who wouldn't arrive for a couple hours) could do it. I asked what she recommended since I couldn't see the color thru the plastic. She proceeded to look in other makeup brands to find a similar color. I told her that I just wanted to see what *that* color looked like. After I looked at her in confusion, she repeated that she couldn't help but then walked over and asked another S.A. what to do. The advice was to make it a sample so we could try it. And she did. I'm glad I persisted but it was like pulling teeth to do so. The cashier also wouldn't let me sign up for a card in the store and told me to go home and fill out the form and come back. I thought that was rude and odd. I'll be back if I'm in the hood... But Meh.

As many drivers are distracted trying to see signs, navigating their way to coffee fix and with this oddly laid out but decent sized parking lot it makes it a bit of a take a risk to shop vibe. As I do find the layout is an accident waiting to happen, I try to assess the busy level by driving by to do other things before going here. So far this is a good strategy for my mobility. The grocery itself is conviently located off the main highway and for Duncan, it is halfway along the drive itself. So nice to have a grocery in that area as you can easily add it along your stops. Food is always well stocked and place is well kept up. I always enjoy seeing their seasonal dispalys (turn right and near the floral area is usually where you'll notice the creation). Great selection of items like at any Thrifty's place but I do have to say for price point, I don't feel like it is a cheaper option (like the name might suggest to some). Staff is always friendly and quick to help if you have a question but you don't see a lot on the floor. So there was a few times I would buy vitamins and supplements if I had help locating them but there was no one to be found. That definitely could be an improvement being that they make an effort to stock so much for that section. I really do like their take away items for single people and always find something new to try when I'm shopping. Sometimes even as a gift for a friend. Overall a decent place to shop. Just be mindful of that parking lot situation.

Everyone here shows by their actions that they genuinely care about your well being. You get the feeling that everyone, especially the owner/head pharmacist take great pride in the welfare of their customers as a whole. Whether it's giving you a critical printout of all the information about your prescription, to giving an extra moment of their time to someone who just needs a bit of reassurance and that human touch at a time when they really aren't at their best. Most people who come to this pharmacy are getting a rx to help deal with a particular ailment or condition, and the staff show you that they are committed to ensuring that you receive the best possible treatment and information possible. I am being unusually effusive because twice, through information given from the staff was I able to make a moreI informed decision about a treatment proscribed by my doctor. I feel they saved me from a host of problems further down the road if I hadn't been made aware of the full spectrum of effects of certain meds. I can honestly say I would (and routinely do) trust them with my family's and my life.

The pharmacy's hours are understandably limited. They're closed on weekends and open during the week from 9:00 to 6:00 with an hour or so off midday for lunch. Still, the pharmacy is well stocked and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you're on the island and find yourself out of a prescription drug, they'll help you take the necessary steps to get your medication. Their website even offers the pharmacist's home phone number if you're in a real pinch.

They shipped promptly, and they were packaged well. I thought they'd make great Christmas gifts for new friends or acquaintance friends, or extended family members. We're not doing stockings this year, but I feel like they'd be great stocking stuffers, too. Each lotion cost 6 dollars plus tax and shipping. Each lotion is about the height of the palm of my hand in size. I bought singles of some of the lotions, and doubles of others. The doubles are not in my photo, since I've already gifted them to friends and family. Of course, I kept some of the lotions for myself! The lotions smell absolutely amazing. Just so fragrant, and they have a very natural scent to them. It seems like very fresh and natural ingredients were used in making them. I am very much a smell person, and I absolutely love these scents. The scent notes and the quality and depth of fragrance in these lotions are among the best I've ever purchased, and I've purchased countless hand and body lotions throughout the years. My skin tends to be naturally very soft and smooth (yay), but occasionally my hands and feet get slightly dry during the late fall and early winter. These lotions worked well to remedy that minor dryness. The only minor complaint I have regarding these lotions is that all of the the scents fade a lot within about 10 minutes or so of applying them to my hands. For the first 10 minutes or so, the strength of the scent is perfect - not too strong, but just strong enough. Then the scent quickly becomes a bit too weak for me. However, I often mix essential oils, and I have noticed that scents of oils last longer on my skin in general than scents of lotions. I am still a very happy customer, and I would not hesitate to buy any one of these lotions again. I'm so glad to be able to support this local small business, and to be able to enjoy such wonderful scents on my hands and feet this holiday season. The scents that I chose to purchase are: *Ginger Cardamom - delightfully spicy, unusual lotion scent *Lavender Vanilla - the vanilla isn't overpowered by the lavender in this delicately balanced blend *Spruce & Cedar - smells a bit like being in a forest! *Wild Rose - I love the smell of fresh roses so much, and this scent is heavenly *Sandalwood Citrus - Sandalwood is one of my top 10 favorite scents ever, so I don't mind that the Sandalwood scent is stronger than the citrus scent in this wonderful blend - in fact, I prefer that *Jasmine Blood Orange - perfect.
