I understand you are in a slow town, but , you could use a good cleaning first off. We came in to buy a product for my Father in law, saw that one bag had a merchandise coupon in. Got up front and the cashier said it expired in 2024. Your lack of merchandising is nit my issue. The product you sell, with a manufacturer coupon on it, expired or not should of been excepted. Walgreens pharmacy in Anacortes. Handicapped senior experiences repeated verbal abuse from the pharmacist. More than just having a bad day. The daily staff treats customers in a civil manner. Actual pharmacist sees no need to even make the effort. Hoping he turns on a customer with the financial support to sue him. Vs the average old and partially deaf people like me. Hoping they close this store, or at least find a pharmacist who can be civil. read more

Dropped in for some cleaning supplies. They had almost nothing. We are well past shortages, so corp must just be neglecting us customers. Not worth taking the chance to stop for anything anymore. Penalty period, 18 months. Not worth it if they won't even try. read more

I have been given the wrong medication twice now. This last time, it was my insulin, and I waited nine days for it to come in. When I brought the insulin back, I was told they only had one flex pen available, and the rest were on order. I originally placed my refill on 3/24/25, and I still do not have my full prescription. They gave me the one pen and charged my insurance for it, so now when the other 5 pens come in, I will have to pay the Copay again. This pharmacy is the worst I have ever dealt with. In addition, they did not even apologize for giving me the wrong insulin. read more

An average Walgreens. I drove 40 miles just to get a COVID booster as I found an appointment the next day (instead of scheduling an appointment 2 weeks out). It was a Saturday afternoon, and the pharmacy was very busy. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes to get the shot. I already had filled out most of the information when I booked an appointment, but I had to redo most of it on paper. There were many pharmacy technicians, but I only saw one pharmacist. There is an abandoned motorhome in the Walgreens parking lot. It has been there for approximately six months. The store management/leadership will not do anything about it. The excuses range from "its too costly to tow" to "it's not hurting anyone." I have personally seen drug paraphernalia, adult material, and trash scattered around it. As of this morning, there is trash/alcohol bottles stuffed in the various openings. It needs to be removed. It sets the example that the City of Anacortes is open to vagrancy. read more

I went in to pickup (1) photo that I had ordered online. The cashier at the front had a line so I waited at the photo counter. When no one came, I could see my photo package sitting in the box. So I went around to pick it up and then out of nowhere this female employee comes up and starts telling me "you can't go behind the counter, because of privacy issues!" Not once but she continues to tell me, I should have waited in the front line for the cashier to call for someone! Mind you my name was on my package and was sitting right in front for not only me but anyone else to see! Privacy?!?! She continues on and on and I finally I say I just want to pay for my pic for $1.79. PRIVACY?!?! Okay perhaps you should hide the pics in the back. There are boxes with customers names in all those containers for everyone to see. Keep someone at the desk to help customers or provide a bell so someone can come. Finding an employee is near impossible and yes, I realize everyone is short staffed. read more

I found the pharmacy staff to be rude and uncaring. I believe that they lied to me about contacting my insurance company. When I contacted my insurance company the following day, I was told that they had not called and that the help desk was closed when they claimed to have called and spoken to someone. There is a reason why they have a 2.7 star rating on yelp. The are horrible. read more

Being physically disabled, I drove to the outside prescription pick-up window at the Anacortes Walgreens store to pick up my order. I was number 6 in line. I waited 20 minutes in line and, as I finally drove up to the window I WAS THE LAST CAR IN LINE.... As I reached the window, to pick up my prescription, I saw the person inside just draw the drapes across the window and CLOSE the position.... There was definitely eye contact. THERE WAS STILL NO ONE BEHIND ME., a fact that would have been clear to the employee. The signage on the drapes stated that the pharmacy was "Closed" from 1:30 to 2:00 so that the "Staff" could have lunch! First off, it was 1:27 and Secondly, I was still the last person in line and they clearly could see my full sized SUV as I arrived right outside their window..... Simply put, they closed the window in my face. I waited at the window until a male employee drew back the blinds and re-opened the window (at 2:04 not 2:00) After paying for, and receiving my prescription I asked why they had closed the window in my face when it was clear that I had been waiting and was, in fact, the last person in line.... Further, I asked why one employee couldn't be present during the lunch period..... "We were hungry" was the answer to the first question.... No answer for the second. In reading Walgreen Reviews on the web, it appears that THE CLOSURE IS WALGREEN POLICY AND HAS BEEN THE SUBJECT OF NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS. The rudeness of the pharmacy employee and his obviously ambivalent attitude in this case is simply not professional and is far from acceptable.... Definitely not deserving of a customers trust. read more

Shout out to the pharmacy staff and especially Ashley who are working so hard and getting boosters in arms! The gentleman who administers the vaccines is amazing as well. They are clearly short-staffed, but so professional. read more

I've had a couple of unfavorable experiences with this pharmacy and in view of today, I thought I would write a review in the hope they read it and make improvements. My dermatologist called in a prescription for an antibiotic and 4 hours later they are still working on it. Then they put me on hold and no one ever answered the phone. Was there anybody there? I just got an automated system. I would just go down there and wait but I am not supposed to be out in the light for a few days. I guess I will head on down there and hope I don't get the runaround. read more

Let me start off by saying I love the girls here. I come in late after working all day, and have coupons with my purchases. Normally just doing those two things would make any cashier get cranky with me. These girls are not only ok with my quick in and out, they handle my coupons like pros. AND!!! They've remember who I am, greet me with a smile, and get me out quick!!! The store has a great team. Whether I am checking out, or just figuring something out. They are right there helping me, they are on the ball!!! read more

I had a Rx for 140+ pills but they did not have enough, so they CLAIMED to give me 118 pills which was printed on the size PM-10 bottle. That's ok, and usually they send you a note in a couple days that the remainder of your order is ready. That did not happen. As I consumed the pills according to the doctors directions on the bottle, I began to notice that I was going to run short and counted that I was short almost half my order (~60 pills). No, I was not given two bottles and did not lose one. I brought this to their attention but could not get more pills for my heart condition because my insurance already paid for what I needed. To make my case, I bought a bottle of 100 aspirin pills that were similar size and tried to fit them in the PM-10 bottle that said 118 on it. I was able to get about 85 tablets in the bottle, which told me there was NEVER 118 pills in the original bottle. And when was the last time you got a bottle of pills filled to the top? They are usually half full, often with a ball of cotton. I showed this to the pharmacist and she very arrogantly jammed a bunch of pills in a bottle to show me that more pills would fit. She determined that I was short 22 pills. Not 21 or 23, but 22. So they give me my 22 pills and had the gall to charge me and my insurance for them. Mind you, I am still short ~40 pills and can't get more because insurance won't cover them. I had some traveling to do so I went to three other Walgreens stores and showed them the pills and bottle but did not elaborate. They all said that an order that size would have been in a larger PM-20 bottle. Two of the other pharmacy's said that they are required to keep an exact inventory of meds on site so I should tell my local store to check their inventory and see if they may have shorted me. When I did that, I the gal just grimaced and said they don't keep that close of count on med's. It is sad that our hometown pharmacy runs such an immoral and probably illegal operation. read more
