We were surprised! Typical food at CT breweries tend to be mediocre. This place was a bit above. It's a scratch kitchen, so no prepackaged anything. Everything was made in house. They had healthy options (veggie burger was fantastic) and you're typical not to healthy foods. I had an intriguing drink with vodka, carrot juice and mascarpone that blew me away. It was soooo good. The only issue we had was the noise. It was loud. There was a large table full of very loud people. Some acoustic treatments would help. Overall experience was great and will definitely be back.

Food and drinks still amazing here ! We ordered a slap your mama margarita and the pineapple hard seltzer for drinks. From dinner I got the OKLAHOMA smashed burger with a side garden salad! Food was delicious! Service here was good too! Clean restaurant!

Stopped in here during the soft opening. They have a decent selection on draft mix with other drinks and a pretty decent food list. The food was good and the drinks were even better! Blueberry Hibiscus Mead, Blueberry Lemonade, Bacon smashed Cheeseburger and a Hot Chick sandwich. The food was very good and savory and packed a good punch to the palate. The burger wasn't overly done and was still juicy while the hot chicken habanero was spicy enough for a little ranch. Would definitely come back. Blueberry Hibiscus Mead bright, fruity sweetness of blueberries mixed with a floral tang of hibiscus for a crisp, refreshing experience. Blueberry Lemonade (Blueberry vodka, fresh squeezed lemon juice, topped with blueberries) Bacon smashed Cheeseburger two beef patties, bacon, American cheese, chopped onions, pickles, Fancy Sauce Hot Chick - fried chicken, spicy habanero, lettuce and pickles on a potato bun.

We have been to Phantom brewing a couple times during the soft opening period. It's a great spot in a new building, with both indoor and outdoor dining. We are on the south side of Middletown, and it's just a quick 10 minute drive. So far, our experiences have been great! Friendly staff, great drinks, and tasty food! We've had burgers and the fried buffalo chicken sandwich, chips, fries, Mac and cheese, and wings. All are great! The chips are even made in house. I still need to try the fried chicken dinner and their giant pretzel, next time, hopefully! Plus once they have their grand opening, they'll be expanding their menu. I'm hoping for ribs to make an appearance!! (Pretty please!) Go check them out, whether you want a drink, a bite, or both! They have various spaces to accommodate larger groups too, so give them a call if you are planning a gathering!

Phantom Burger and Brewery in Higganum offers an impressive number of craft beers and ales, but as I had Diet Coke, I can't comment on them.

A good place to start. The best was yet to come. I first decided that I wanted to drink a classic West Coast IPA, and the 2nd Rule (70 IBU) was as close as I have found this side of Seattle in 1990. But it didn't stop there. The Jocularity, a Red Ale - Irish, was as good as you will find in Dublin. Malty, refreshing, and satisfying. The Ol' Einstein Brown Ale was as good as any brown you'd expect to find in Oxford. It dances on your tongue and has a mildly dry finish. Outstanding. If you want to have more than one or two beers, Gypsy Soul IPA - Session is your beer. Full of flavor, crisp, refreshing, slightly bitter, and very, very drinkable. This is my pick for best brewery in Connecticut. BTW, the staff behind the bar is delightful and invested in you and your experience at R3B. A+++++++++

It's not very local nor particularly convenient to any of my normal routes, but it was a nice stop on the way home recently. They're in the back section of a multi-tenant complex, sharing part of a steel / metal siding "Butler" building with a few others such as a cross-fit place. Decent enough parking, huge indoor space with games, some TV's, a large bar and very nice, newly built restrooms. The beer overall was pretty good. All seemed clean, refreshing, and of sufficient quality, but none of the ones I tried were enticing enough for me to consider any to go. The sour was probably my favorite overall. The water station needs work. It doesn't work all that well / kind of slow, and it's frustrating to find yet another business won't serve water (even when not busy, and apparently even if you're seated at the bar. I get it, that costs time and thus money, but it seems odd to expect people seated at the bar to get up and walk away for a water. If there wasn't any bar seating, it would make more sense to me. (Couple places in Manchester follow the same trend, but neither of those has bar seating.)

In particular, if a stout or a farmhouse or sour with adjuncts sounds interesting to you, definitely don't sleep on it! It will certainly be good.
