When I walked into the PGA Superstore in Naples the other day, there was one employee behind the desk, checking people out, re-gripping clubs and providing trade-in information. When I asked him if he could help me he said sure, but can you give me 15 minutes after I grip these clubs, so I walked around the store trying to find a grip for my putter. I asked, who was supposedly, a manager in the store about the different grips and she was clueless only to find out she has no golf experience and had no idea what I was looking for. I went back to the only person behind the counter to see if he was available and he gave me a $4 trade-in price for a total 5 Cleveland wedges I had. I was also looking to purchase a brand new set of golf clubs. There was one person working with somebody in the bay and he had no time for me. If there were ever any employees available, I found them to be nonexistent. I went to another store after I left the Pga superstore and I brought my 5 Cleveland wedges in for trade-in and they gave me $30 for all 5 Cleveland wedges. They worked with me for two hours in a hitting bay, and I walked out of the store with a brand new set of golf clubs with employees that were willing to go above and beyond. I was formerly from the Schaumburg, IL store, and the employees there were always helpful and available. I miss the Schaumburg store immensely. Valuing the customer experience not only benefits your customers but your workforce too. Retail is a customer-centric industry where the consumer determines your success. Your Naples store may want to re-evaluate how you treat customers. read more

Honesty and Kindness does exist !! While shopping today at the pga superstore in Naples,Fl today I lost close $400 cash that was in my pocket and mustve fallen out while I was roaming the store and when I went to checkout and noticed it was gone I figured I was out of luck as who would turn in cash laying on the ground without any idea who it belonged to but Michael Arness did!! I asked the operation manager Mr. Hallum if I could thank him and as I wanted to give $ for being so kind and honest but was told he wasnt allowed to accept anything as is there store policy‍! Walked in this past evening looking for assistance for a new set of clubs for my wife. I think we were just about the only customers in the store it was very quiet. The employees were standing around at the golf simulator and I asked them for assistance and they said they would be right over. No one showed up and in fact they seemed to go out of their way to avoid us and the aisle we were in. We left with no purchase and no assistance and went to Golf Galaxy and purchased exactly what we wanted with great assistance from their employees. Good selection. However, the sales staff were very strange. The majority of them did not even acknowledge us. One very small older man asked if we needed help in the shoe section, then after we said we did not, he stood about 5 feet from us with his hands behind his back and stared. We asked him to stop because he was making us feel uncomfortable. He then scoffed and walked a few feet away and kept staring. We were so creeped out that we decided to not continue to try on golf shoes just to get away from the guy. We are a young family and had our 4 y.o. daughter with us. We hardly fit the profile of thieves/vandals so we are confused as to why this man thought he should make a beeline over to us and behave as if he was a miniature security guard. I bought some nTaylorMade 770 irons not too long ago and needed to exchange them for the easier to hit 790 model. The new clubs were just past the 90-day exchange policy....so I was expecting to lose lots of money on the trade-in! When I went in to discuss my options I was so surprised! The store manager took care of me 100%. They allowed me to exchange the 770's for the 790's on the spot with very little out of pocket expense. Great customer service! I was feeling so good about my experience, I decided to put a new shaft in my new Sim2 Max driver and buy some new clothing for my next round!! Thanks again PGA Superstore!!! read more

I will never spend another dollar at this place. I went in to purchase a set of new irons, wedges, driver, and putter. I stood by the clubs for over a half hour while several employees walked by several times. Never once did anyone take the initiative to ask if was being helped. For Christmas I gave my husband a club fitting, with the promise of buying him a new driver. I had asked the pro at my club where we should go for a fitting, and he recommended the PGA Store. The "professional" didn't introduce him self until half way through, my husband had a particular club in mind and he never offered any shaft changes. ( this club has a variety of shafts/weights ) He never offered any help whatsoever. We were a guaranteed sale and walked away with nothing...we won't be back. read more

I arrived in Florida on my 5-month pandemic sponsored golf trip and swiftly broke the 3 year old driver in the bag...It was February and I was double mask gang to get my fitting. At the time a golf proshop and a coffee drive thru were the only doors I would darken, however I know the importance of a fitting. I guess I could have bought the same driver that broke, but its durability was in doubt and there is always better. I showed up to the store on a Saturday as they opened in an effort to avoid humans and the gallery murmurs at the range while knowing I would leave if protocols were not up to snuff...well my dude was of the vaccinated age group, had been vaccinated and was wearing a slick shield! Let's fit hombre. I started with a wonky swing and a lot of bad 7 Irons!!!!. They told me to come back if I wanted a good fitting- which I did want, but I made it clear to them I needed a driver, was leaving with a driver, and I apologized for the work ahead of them... They told me about the 90-day playability guarantee and I threw my wallet at them. Not a single audible groan. I also made it clear I wanted to do as blind of a test as possible and let the numbers do their thing. After dialing in the swing a little with my 7 iron, I moved on to their selections based on what they saw and my previous driver and its production. I think I hit 5 clubs before finding 1 that stood out. I went back and forth with it and 2 others, however the numbers on 1 driver were basically ideal on all swings and overall very good. The swing was still not where I thought it could be, so the staff felt cycling through shafts and really digging in to the club tune should wait until I was ready, and I was in complete agreement as the stock set-up was a damn good baseline. I found my new driver which was a demo model and not available new in-store, which aside from the D scrawled on the top of the grip, was a new driver for almost half-price...so I took the opportunity to fit the same club in the new 5-wood, and found the same bliss out of the box with its stock configuration. Sold x 2. Best part is the 30+ rounds with them in the bag and no need to revisit the monitor for club tune. They dialed it in with the technology, and their experience to get me right the first time and that is impressive. read more

Boy oh boy!! Am I in Heaven here! Walking into the PGA Tour Superstore is as close to my happy place as I can find in Naples. And for a woman, who has trouble finding cute clothes for the course, this place totally rocks my world. So many designers and options and shoes, shoes, shoes! As far as equipment and gear, this place has a wide selection, as well as a practice putting green lined with various putters, stalls for trying out drivers and a sea of golf bags at your shopping disposal. We'll you saw my complaint with the PGA Superstore in Naples and it's now time to finish the tale. We'll after I got a call from the Store General Manager David Holies I decided to give them a second chance. I met with Dave who took ownership of the problem and was sympathetic to what happened. He set me up with Dan Beveridge, club fitting specialist. I did buy a new set of irons and fairway wood and felt like I got a private lesson in the process. I included the below photo which is on the screen at the store..... I guess you can say Dave doesn't hide but wants to make his store the best it can be and the best customer experience possible.... I have never seen a store manager that put their face and phone number out there in this manner to hear from his patrons.... It's obvious he wants to make it better! Debbie the store manager was fantastic. She helped me exchange a Scotty Cameron putter I received as a gift from my kids. I just needed a minor tweak in style and she was very accommodating. What was such a pleasant observation was her love of her employer in the PGA Superstore and owner Arthur Blank. As a 28 year employee we admired her appreciation for her career and employer for taking care of her for doing a good job. I ordered online from PGA. Great stock and selection - but the promise of returns is not true. Have made 3 calls and sent 2 emails and have not been able to reach customer service. This is indeed a superstore. With a very large selection of every club from every manufacture and every putter in every type of ball, there is not much any golfer couldn't find here that they truly needed. they have at least five hitting areas where you can test each different club and see the results on the video monitors. This is helpful, although the staff tends to look at you like you are breaking the rules by hitting some clubs. there is no real guideline for what you should do and how you should use these machines. I see some people getting help from some of the staff, but this appears to be by request only. In numerous visits I have always hit a few different drivers and other clubs and never once been approached by any sales person to ask if they might help. They're putting area is large and they certainly have about every potter you can imagine. From bags to clothing even shoes I just can't think of anything that they don't have. The missing ingredient in my mind is a sales staff that is there to help. Certainly they know that Edwin Watts, and 15 other golf stores are just down the street. Similar to other big box stores, if all they have to offer is a huge selection, I wonder why I would shop there. It's much easier to visit a small shop and get some one on one advice from somebody who seems to care. Their pricing doesn't seem to vary from location to location and I think the Internet might even offer a better deal. Wow looking to replace my irons recently I was offered about one third of the price that I could sell my clubs for on eBay. Who would trade their clubs in to the store for such a ridiculous price. I get that they need to make a profit, but not that much. In the end I sold my clubs on eBay and bought my new irons directly from the Internet. I guess thank you PGA superstore for letting me try out a few clubs. I only wish you cared that I was trying them out. read more
