If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband just tried to bring in our dog to get groomed. Because our dog wasn't perfectly up to date on shots, they turned him away, ok thats fine. However the two women working today @ 1030 showed him nothing but a terrible energy & attitude. They were judgmental to the fact we didn't know about the shots were from out of state. So guess what we'll take our money elsewhere after we get up to date & the tip money that goes along with it. A word to those two chicks, Kindness goes a long way! Never returning! read more

There is a pain in my heart when I shop large scale pet shops. There are lots of things not to love about the idea, not the least of all being my love of small businesses. If I had to choose between PetCo and PetSmart, I'd choose the latter. PetSmart seems to have the better customer service and overall selection of items. In this trip we were searching for a collar or harness for our escape artist dog before vacation. We were approached by the in-house dog trainer who was able to make a recommendation, which was greatly appreciated. Additionally, we made a return/exchange for this new collar and that was easy peasy, and a quick transaction. read more

Jordan did a great job trimming our dog's nails. Our Vet and other groomers could not control him and do the job. Jordan was kind and loving with our difficult friend and trimmed his nails to perfection! 5 stars for Jordan. read more

I love this petsmart the people are super nice and helpful. I love bringing my dog in to the groomers to get her nails dremeled and painted. They do such an awesome job with her, the petsmart in pkrtland sucks they hit her quik 3 or 4 times and made her bleed she got scared to the point she fought not go behind the gate. She does the same thing at the vancouver petsmart but I think she is starting to warm back up to the fact they treat her really nice and are gentle as can be with her there have been times they've had to muzzle her but the last few times she has gone in the back and they dont have to muzzle her so I hink being away from everything is easier on her and she can relax. I will always bring her back to this petsmart and highly recommend it, this place is wonderful :-) read more

I called the store looking for the Great Choice Retractable dog leash. I called, even though their website said they had none because the other stores where the websites said they had the lease in stock, didn't have any. The woman who answered said they didn't carry dog leashes. I validated that I had called PetSmart and she said it was PetSmart. I asked again if they carried dog leashes and she said they had reordered the store and no longer carried leashes. I said that according to their website they carried them. She said she'd go look. She came back and said they did have the Great Choice leash I wanted. I drove out to the store and they did indeed have the leashes, lots of them. As I drove home, it all sort of made sense; if they didn't know what a dog leash was, when they showed up, they were just put on the shelves and not logged into inventory. Hence, the web page showed they were out of stock. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The "manager" in the fish department was so rude and condescending I almost walked out. I understand he is asking if you have the proper facilities to care for said fish, however he did not go about it in a professional or polite manner. He did not imply he cared for the fish's well being..but however very rudely said he was going to write "non-returnable" on my receipt when I could not tell him exactly how many gallons my outdoor pond holds. If it is about animal well-being why are there fish right next to it sold solely for the purpose of being eaten? He could have been more professional and maybe given a reason why he asked so many questions. He also was extremely rude when I asked him questions and did not seem to care to explain anything to me. There was another guest there at the same time who asked for the manager because "the guy in fish was extremely rude" I will NEVER go back to this store read more

Lindzey, thank you for your time and your dedication to my request. My dogs and I appreciate you and your customer service. Thank you again!

Was in the store today around 12:30, when I heard what appeared to be a manager verbally abusing an employee. He was speaking so loud he was practically yelling. The manager made aggressively loud and discriminate comments on the employees health. There is absolutely no reason for a manger to speak to an employee, especially about their health, in this manor. I have stopped into this location multiple times and have often seen animals in poor health, and seen employees be pushed around verbaly by management. So to hear an employee being treated this way, during business hours and about something like their health, pushed me to the point of writing a review. I have stayed quiet, I don't know what they are doing to treat the animals (Although up until recently its seemed like minimal to no care) but I always hoped they were on top of it. The manager should be ashamed. Seems like many managers these days, more focused on their ego than the well being of the animals and people in their care. I will not be stopping into this location anymore, and will be doing my best to make sure anyone I know doesn't come here. Sending your employees back out to the floor after pushing them to tears is disgusting. I've been helped by this employee before too, and shes been incredibly kind and seems to really care about the animals. I want pet-smart to do something about this person in power, pet-smart is already known for throwing away sick and damaged animals while still alive, (look up pet-smart dumpster diving), now we need to add verbal abuse to their employees as well?? Is this what you're proud of pet smart vancouver mall? read more

I went here hoping to find some good quality dog food at a reasonable price and some new collars and leashes. I walked out with a shopping cart FULL of everything dog! The selection was overwhelming in every area except high-end dog food. I was able to get a good brand though. The prices were a little higher than I wanted to pay but I guess it's worth it to be able to go to just one place to get everything. My dogs loved the store! It was great being able to take them inside and make sure the new collars would fit before I purchased them. The service was VERY slow. Well, that isn't fair really. The one single person who was working seemed to be going as fast as he could. I just have to wonder why one of the other two people I saw on the floor didn't stop and help people check out when the line got too long. I will definitely go back to this store. I'll just make sure I have plenty of time to spend in line when I go! Maybe I will check out another store of theirs to see if the service is any faster. read more

This is a great chain pet store, and this location is top-notch. The store is always clean and the staff is friendly. My dogs are groomed here. I'm able to get the appointment I want with the staff member of my choice. They do a great job and take special requests. I like that their groomers have to go through training, unlike some other pet stores. read more

I received a phone call this morning to inform me that my dogs' grooming appointments have to be rescheduled. The first rescheduling was because the groomer was ill. Ok, that's understandable. This one, though, the groomer was called in to do some training or academy thing. I was told someone tried to contact me last night, but there is no missed call on my cell phone. Hard to understand how this training or whatever it is had to have been on their schedule for weeks and no one thought about that when rescheduling the first time. The groomers there are great people, love working with the dogs. This scheduling nightmare, though, is ridiculous. read more

This place carries Freshpet Vital beef and lamb food my dog can eat (multiple food allergies) so they get a bump for that. They are getting in more limited ingredient, higher quality pet foods yet still carry mostly junk food pet foods, so they lose a star. They lose another star because they don't carry many eco friendly toys or small dog, tuff type toys. Friendly staff and easy in and out location. They also have dog grooming on site and a roaming vet clinic which sets up shop there at regular intervals so you can obtain basic services without the office visit fee of a standard vet. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER ....! 03/03/2020 I took my dog due to that I'm pregnant and It's really hard for me to give her a shower they never told me the difference of their showers left that place and 2 min later they call me because my dog got scare so they told me that I would have to pick her up because she was to scare and they would have to reschedule because they didn't have time ... What??? Timee ? That's why I made a reservacion a week before, they all should be trained to deal with different dogs and if they can't handle situations like this don't waste people time. read more

"Customer service" is a joke! I went there to buy some fish. After waiting in the fish department for a while, I finally went and asked another employee if they could help me. He said he would call someone over to help. I waited. And waited. And waited some more. The guy who said he would send someone was standing near the checkout stands, watching me the whole time. Not one word to me. No one even acknowledged my presence. I walked out. I will never go back. It's too bad, too, because it's the closest pet store to my house. I have 3 dogs, 4 cats, 2 birds and several fish. I go to the groomers and training classes with the dogs, and buy a LOT of high-end food for my animals. .. At Petco! I'm not shopping at PetSmart ever again. read more

My experience with the salon and its staff today was not the greatest. They weren't rude or anything but I felt like I was being scolded because my dog has a collapsed trachea and they had already groomed him twice before. I've had to remind these people every time that this is the case and yes, I have talked to the vet who recommended against the corrective surgery. How many times does the staff need to be told the same thing? I had a vet tech come over and tell me the same thing that the groomer had already told me. OMG, really? I paid $22 for an upgrade on the grooming service which should have included a bandana, nail grinding and a premium shampoo. It doesn't appear that any of that was done and his collar was soaking wet! WTH, people? I called because I had run out in a hurry after seeing that his cut and style looked ok (not the teddy bear look I asked for, but it was fine) so I didn't notice this until I got home. I called and told Leah what had happened and she sounded like she didn't believe me but said she would make a note and the Top Dog Plus would be complementary at the next grooming. I took a closer look at my dog a little later and one of his legs was shaved funky in one spot. There's a whole bunch of fur missing that should still be there! I am really disappointed by this service and I will NOT be back! I am thinking they should be at least refund my upgrade of $22 since they clearly didn't do it. Oh, and now my dog is afraid to come out of his kennel to me when I call him. That's never happened before. read more

I use the love this place I would spend hundreds of dollars here tell recently I had bought a new fish tank and full set up along with 4 fish (who all had ick) I called them to tell them they sold me sick fish and is all they told me is that they are sold out of the ick treatment and that they had been having a problem with ick and then told me That ally cat in the mall might have healthy fish if I am wanted to get new ones.... very unhappy with the fact they didn't care about selling sick fish or even offer a refund on them read more

Not the best experience. When I walk into a place - I don't anticipate having 2 fingers thrown up at me and a bark of "WE CLOSE IN 2 MINUTES!!!!" I have served my time in customer service and find a much more pleasant way of saying that would have taken less than 1/2 a second longer "hi, welcome to PetSmart - just a heads up we close in 2 minutes". I understand they want to close up - I wasn't "window" shopping. I was literally running to grab a bag of dog food. I would rather just wait 2 days for Amazon than be barked at my a HUMAN. No thanks read more

I just got my dog groomed by Charleen and he came back looking so great. I love taking my Goldendoodle to grooming to see Leah! Leah is amazing at what she does! She always does her best to make him look adorable. She makes recommendations for what to use and looks at his skin, coat, nails ears and teeth every time so I can get the best package for his needs. She also lets me know what I can do at home to help with his itchy skin. She always asks about him when she sees me, and asks how he is feeling and doing. She tells me she can't wait to see him next time and reminds me when it gets close to time to have him groomed so I don't forget. I love having a groomer who loves my dog as much as I do (and maybe sometimes more then I do) and the fact he is always so excited to see her and she gives him lots of love and snuggles! I took my dog to get a bath and groomed up yesterday! He is a husky so he is a bigger dog and he is just over a year old so still a puppy! They told me it would be about $57ish for the services! Great deal! So I took my dog in and went home after about 2 hours I get a call telling me they can't service him but he wouldn't clam down and they "almost have a incident with him and other dog" when my dog has no been aggressive to other people or dogs he is a big baby! So very upset yesterday will not take him there again! Petco gave my one today and they told me they had no problem or trouble with him! read more

I took my two dogs to get groomed on Monday. Which I have done for several years. When we picked them up, we noticed a smell that reminded us of a dirty dog pound. Both dogs smelled worst than they did when we dropped them off. They were cut but I feel they were not washed. It is Wednesday now and we are going to give them a bath so we know they are clean. Mark me terribly disappointed! This has never happened before. Someone got lazy or the kennels they were put in while waiting in the back stink to high heaven. read more

The staff was nice when I made my appointment over the phone but when I got there a different story. My appointment was at 3:00 but said they couldn't start the haircut until 7:00. They wanted me to put my dog in a cage for that many hours. I don't think so! I expressed my disappointment and they said oh well you should of scheduled an express service. Express service? I have never been there or ever heard of that. I have been going to groomers for years and thought I would try out petsmart. Big mistake! Never again! read more

I am posting this review for the grooming salon. I take my chihuahua-terrier mix here to get groomed about once a month. I always get a bath with furminator. Every time I bring him home he smells SO GOOD for like a week afterwards, and like zero hair will shed from him until about the time for his next appointment. He has a medium length coat that is EXTREMELY thick and coarse, so it needs to be maintained. The ladies here are always very friendly and remember us when we come in. They love my dog and always comment about how much he tries to give them kisses when he's on the table (he's such a love bug lol). I've only had one problem with bringing him here and that was last time they had a new groomer and she did a crap job. I brought him back almost immediately after getting home and realizing he was shedding like crazy, and they fixed it for me and apologized profusely, while letting me know they would be training her more before letting her work the floor again. I would recommend this place if you need a quick bath for your stinky shedding pup, and you can't do it yourself. read more

The staff here needs serious customer service training. The two people that were in the live fish area were so condescending and rude. It would be nice if they wouldn't immediately assume people are idiots. I've had fish most of my life, I know how to introduce new ones to new tanks. After being lectured in a condescending tone by this employee, I had to ask if she was refusing to sell to me. Of course not. But seriously?? Then onto the cashier. So not friendly! I had two excited little boys ready to take their new fish home. She takes the bagged fish and basically tosses them in the plastic bag. Yes tosses. If my kids weren't with me I would've went off. I could not believe the rude employees here. The person I assume was the manager, as he was the key holder, looked like he hated his job. THEN I ended up having to exchange the tank I bought because it was broken. I know this is not their fault but I had to deal with the unfriendly cashier AGAIN. No compassion for the hassle I went through, no help getting a new tank, so grumpy! I will never ever go to this location again. read more

Wonderful nice crew. But horribly ran. Constantly understaffed, never have what I need. I had actually called beforehand to ensure that a product I needed was there and they confirmed but once I got there they said "they thought they had some" and no other location carries the product. So disappointed and you should take the extra five minutes to go to the pet store in orchards, same prices and products but incredibly more helpful read more
