Frannie who is a Bichon Poodle was in the other day. Third time. She had a bloody ear after sharp steel brush had been used. Her fur was a bit matted since I had held off on grooming while she was fighting infections. I was mostly hesitant because of the bath. But now she smells like dry shampoo? My 7 year old, extremely friendly and upbeat schnoodle needed a grooming, and he was a little over due for one (I was dealing with health issues) however he was not unmanageable. When I dropped him off I apologized and pointed out that he had some matting where his harness goes but that she can just start fresh and shave him down and do a teddy bear face. The groomer 100% took the lazy route and shaved him down so low I can see his skin. His face hair is cut all the way down and is choppy. I take responsibility for the fact that I could've been more specific when it came to how low to cut his hair, but I never would've thought she would cut him to basically nothing? And she cut his face hair and whiskers off? I didn't make a fuss about it because it was my first time here and hair grows back, but to top it off he's been in a depressive funk for two days now, he only wants to lay on the bed (which he never does), and he won't even come when I call him WHICH HAS NEVER HAPPENED. He is acting so strange and sad that it makes me feel like he was wronged. I am writing this because I've had him since a puppy and he has never acted like this and it started right after he left this groomer. Do your diligence and make your own judgement but I will never go back. read more

I read some of these reviews & shake my head! I have been taking my 5-6 dogs, both large & small for the past 4-5 years! They are sometimes there most of the day..fleas?! Really..NOT here! Place is clean, Teresa ALWAYS grooms them at length I request! They come home clean , fresh & happy! However..we also take care of our animals at home...you can't take a dog with matted hair down to his skin and expect miracles...just sayin! This shop has staff that go above & beyond..they take great care of pets when grooming them. More importantly my dogs don't quiver & shake in fear to go! They go happy & tails wagging! FLEAS I'd give zero stars if I could. First off this business lacks professionalism and sanitary standards. My dog spent 3 hours with their "groomer" and he was still still referring to HER as a male dog and covered her in what smelt like male cologne. Her paws were not cleaned or trimmed, the haircut was mediocre. Worst of all she is infested with fleas. Avoid this business!!! read more

My puppy Mochi is a MalShi (Shih Tzu/ Maltese) and when looking for a groomer I really wanted to find a local groomer rather than PetCo or PetSmart. I looked on Yelp and Google and came across this business. I called and made an appointment. I really appreciated the information and tips that the receptionist gave me when talking about Puppy grooming. They gave me all the information up front which was helpful. They are a cash only facility, which is fine by me, I'm glad they told me ahead of time! Theresa took good care of Mochi and let me know how he did after. He looks amazing! I had one good experience going to this shop in a year. After my last experience I won't be going back. I drop my 2 dogs off at 10 AM somehow my dog was done by 1230pm (highly unusual). When I pick my dog up I wondered if the same groomer had groom my dog since these are the things that I found; The cut was not what my dog had had previously, the left inner thigh had nicking, nicking and bleeding in between the eyes, Fleas that we're not previously there were crawling on my dog. Thank goodness my dog was on brovecto(3 month flea Med). However my cats are indoor cats and they contracted the fleas after the dogs came home from the groomer. After that one visit my dog suffered greatly over two months because one of the nicking's developed methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius . When I noticed the nicking I called back to an asked to speak to the owner but the groomer with all the tattoos just stated that the "shop is no longer the owners, it was hers." She was very uneasy and full of excuses. I thought it was odd because I didn't see the shop changed owners on the business license in Washington state. Either way we will not be back. Maybe there's a reason they never let anybody into their shop in the last year and a half.... I bet it's a pigsty. Clean your clippers!!!!! read more

We've been going here for four years and every interaction has been great. The folks are really friendly and easy going, the hair cuts are perfect, and his nails are always clean as a whistle. My pupper is a nervous little dude, Yorkie. Prone to seizures and doesn't like having his paws touched. He was a shelter find and apparently had a tough time with the previous owner. Still scared of belts. He can't be an easy dog to work with, but they do a great job every time. read more

We love this place. My senior pup had severe trauma from another groomer here in Vancouver (Please don't take your animals to Franko's), and I randomly found A Bath and a Biscuit through Yelp. We met Brandy, who actually left other said groomer, and she was so kind and compassionate. Plus, the gal is so skilled! We love how our two King Charles Cavs were groomed this week. The dogs were groomed perfectly and they didn't itch as they do with other groomers use shampoo that obviously caused issues. Appointment was for 12:30pm and they were done in less than 4 hours. That's awesome for two dogs!! I'm impressed with the Covid safety protocols keep everyone safe with the curbside drop and pick up. I would NOT recommend A Bath and a Biscuit!! Terrible service! Terrible policies! Terrible grooming! I took my 7 lb Havanese dog to A Bath and a Biscuit on November 10 to be groomed. I found them on a Facebook site. Our normal dog groomer had a baby and is taking some time off. I realized that the location was too far away for me to continue with this place, but I felt ok for this one time. I sat in my car and could see through the window. I felt Ashley was too rough grooming Jazzy. She just ripped the brush through Jazzy's hair. I for sure knew I wasn't returning. Ashley brought Jazzy to my van, accepted her cash payment, buckled Jazzy into the backseat and I left. We have a doggie seat belt for safety. I didn't really see Jazzy. When we got home; I realized that Ashley had forgotten to put her collar back on her. I called and suggested that Ashley return the collar to my husbands work, which was closer than our home and easier. Ashley said it was an hour away. Its 12.4 miles away from A Bath and a Biscuit. She said she'd deliver it to my husbands work by Friday. I called on Monday and she hadn't delivered it. She got angry with me. I just told her that she didn't do what she agreed to do and my dog was now without her collar for 2 weeks. I got Marie, the owner, involved. She said it wasn't anyone's fault. SHOCKING!! And that Ashley would mail it on November 17. Surprise-Surprise! The collar never arrived. And the owner has stopped speaking with me. I don't like to write a bad report, however, this is unacceptable and I'd like to know if someone else was treated this way. I would NOT patron this business! On top of the poor way my dog was treated and not returning her collar; she received an awful haircut. My daughter and I needed to trim strands of hair that were hanging down her stomach and her legs weren't even trimmed. And she has matting under her arm pits. It's disgraceful. read more

Maria is an excellent groomer! I've been to many places in the area and even go as far as Portland because I find it hard to find a good groomer for my two Persian cats. Here at Bath & a Biscuit she does a one-on-one grooming sessions and doesn't put them in kennels as a queue system like other places do. She's detailed and highly skilled. You see the care she puts and by far is the fastest and most diligent groomer I know. One time I even missed my appointment by accident and she didn't even charge me and was able to reschedule. I just adopted a new dog and - like a new parent - I am anxious about everything with him. He's a great, easy-going dog and I don't want any weird experiences to change that. I chose A Bath and a Biscuit based on the previous reviews and I'm so happy I did. He is afraid of water, but Brandy made me feel comfortable about the process before I brought him in. It was clear that she loves dogs and knows how to make the process easier for them. His tail was wagging when I came to get him and he was hanging out with her like old pals! Just brought my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel here for the first time. He was matted pretty bad from a few too many trips to the coast.
