I stopped into this PetSmart to see if they had any unique treats for my pup. This store is a medium sized so they might not have the variety that the used to at the bigger locations. In the dog food aisle, there are fridges that have raw food. There are all in one raw food meals that are ready to serve, packages that only have a certain meat for supplementary feeding, and even eggs! I saw frozen duck and quail eggs for a really good price. $4 for 18 quail eggs! Cheaper than what you would get at the grocery store. They do sell fish, small mammals (only saw hamsters and nice), and some reptiles. I didn't see any birds on my visit. They have cats that you can adopt and those are located at the front of the store, away from the animals that can be purchased. As with all other PetSmart's, dogs are welcome in the store. read more

Wow at all the 1 star reviews.. I'm not surprised. We have been here many times for our dog's grooming appointment and have been turned down for most of them. Their reason for not taking in our dog is because he's nervous. The manager there always say they'll work with us to have our dog more comfortable but has never done anything. It was so frustrating.. Imagine booking the appointment a few weeks in advance and get turned down.. and repeat.. We have been booking at other grooming places with no problems from the groomers. They learned to work with our dog. But since it's not convenient for us, we decided to give Petsmart one more chance. Luckily, one day we came here and our groomer, David came out to greet our dog by speaking and petting him as well as giving him treats. My dog started to develop a relationship with him. The first time my dog got groomed by David, he was still a bit nervous. But the second time, he did so much better. David even said that my dog only trusts him and only takes treats from him. So whatever David did, helped. Shout out to him and thank you for being so patient with our dog, Lucky. We will always book with you from now on. Grooming by David 5/5* (followed instructions). Past experience 1/5* Pet Training: Our trainer, Stacy, is really sweet and full of energy. Our dog really loves her. WORST SERVICE EVER. I wish I could give them less than one star. I booked my 5 1/2 month puppy in for a Puppy Bath and Trim today at this PetSmart location. When I arrived, the employees at the salon took my information and told me that they would call me when he was ready. I confirmed with them that I did not want a full groom, as my puppy is anxious with the process. I just wanted a bath, some hair taken off his face and a sanitary trim. When I got called to pick him up, he was bawling on the table - completely traumatized - even though I stressed that I just wanted him to get used to grooming. Not only that, but I was charged $63 (plus tax) for this "grooming"!! When I questioned the price (because I was only expecting a Puppy Bath & Trim at $26), they said because he was 5 1/2 months old, he was charged for the adult cut. She said their policy changed recently - BUT IT WAS NOT UPDATED ON THE WEBSITE. When I said I should have been told this upfront prior to him getting groomed, she just shrugged her shoulders, as if it wasn't her problem. I will NEVER go back to PetSmart for any of their grooming services, nor for their products. Do yourself a favour and go to Ren's for all your pets needs. I am so upset and disgusted with Tatiana (the dog trainer) she kicked my dog out of intermediate training because "he's annoying and TOO OLD to be trained" I have a chihuahua that is "a year and a half"!. That day I sent my two daughters to training with my dog while I ran to IKEA to pick up something. Half way through training I received a call from my extremely upset 16 year old daughter saying that Tatiana was yelling at her and told her that my dog was no longer welcome in her class because he was annoying and not participating. She said that "he was too old for training and to take him to another store" Not only did she yell at my daughter but she dragged my dog up and down the aisle and smacked him into a wet floor sign because he wasn't doing what she wanted him to do. She told my daughter to go to the cash and get a refund and then she could leave. When she said she was waiting for her mom (me) she said that "it wasn't necessary for me to come into the store that the refund could be done over the phone". My daughter told her that I was coming in because I was mad, Tatiana told her "Your mom can be all the pissed off she wants my decision is final!!" I am not the only person who was complaining in this class. There were two other owners in the same class complaining about different issues (her showing up 20 minutes late finishing the class early etc). She is always sighing and rolling her eyes at people when they don't understand her. She pushed my 12 year old down the aisle telling her in a nasty tone "walk,walk,walk why are you not walking?"and rolled her eyes at her in front of my face. TATIANA clearly has anger issues and should not be training animals with such little patience. SHAME ON YOU TATIANA! That's not how you deal with customers, if you no longer wanted to train my dog there were many other ways you could have handle the situation. You could have called me or waited for me to pick up my daughters and had a civil conversation instead of embarrassing my two daughters and hurting and traumatizing my dog. Apparently the criteria in the grooming salon has gotten "very strict" and they will refuse to bath/groom your pet if it has any pre-existing conditions like hot spots, irritated paws from licking etc. No notice of this posted on website policies. Took my 4month Shih-poo today for her first groom, was a little hesitant considering the reviews but i had a great experience, the process was explained to me which put my mind at ease and when i picked her up she was perfect and happy. I have had two bad experiences at this location. First was when my dog had a gash on his forehead from the grooming. I hadn't noticed it until the next day. No one informed me. This was two years ago. I figured I would try it again since they mentioned they had changed groomers. This time I brought my two dogs and got them groomed. Thank God they didn't cut them this time but I paid for luxury (top service) for both dogs around $350 with tip. Not only did I not get the cologne spritz (I could obviously not smell it on them) but I didn't receive the bandana or the cookie that comes with it nor did I get one of my dogs nails done. I swear these ppl need to get a hold of there shit and really narrow down the issue. Whether it with proper training or proper supervising. Don't get me wrong it was my fault for leaving and not noticing it but in my defence I was just happy that he didn't get cut again. Which in fact has caused trauma to my dog which is why he doesn't like getting groomed. It has cost me more in the long run to get another handler to hold my dog to get groomed because of this. I haven't heard back from management at all about this situation and I wouldn't recommend getting groomed here yet alone buying and supporting the store for any of their pet items. This Petsmart is tucked on the back side of the Stockyards development. It is best accessed from Gunns Road. If you turn in to the development from Gunns Road, Petsmart will be on your right, with a covered deck on your left. This location is new and clean. Here are a few highlights... 1. They have professional grooming. It is set up in the front windows so anyone can watch. Usually there are some cuties being trimmed and bathed on Saturdays for the casual observer. 2. They also have dog training classes. On a recent visit there were 8-10 owners with their pets in a group training session. Everyone seemed to be having fun. 3. Prices are average. 4. Staff seem to be fairly prevalent, offering assistance regularly. 5. They have kitties available for adoption in partnership with a local shelter. 6. The restrooms here are clean. 7. We will no longer be bringing our pup to this location (or any location for that matter). We have bringing our dog since he was born and he's always had the same temperament. He's 5lbs and always gets nervous at the start of the appt so he moves around and knaws while we're there. But we've been told by his groomer that as soon as we leave he's perfectly fine. Our appt was cancelled last week and rescheduled to today and it was very clear that she double/triple booked herself. It was also quite clear that because she overbooked herself, she needed to have one appt cancelled. So she kept making this excuse that our dog was being too restless and wasn't allowing her to do the initial assessment - even though he had the same temperament as always. She wouldn't take him and refused to service him. We were so disappointed because after having his original appt cancelled same day, we had to move around other appt to reschedule then only to be turned away. Even after moving a year ago (to Brampton), we still decided to stay with Sunny but today she proved her professionalism. I would have rather her be honest and tell us she was backed up or that the appt would take longer than expected. At least I wouldn't have lost respect and she wouldn't have lost a customer. Never go to Stockyards location at Keel and St. Clair - the absolute worst customer service - almost any pet store will treat you with better attention and information - apparently if you are not a woman at Stockyards you are invisible to the staff - just walked out after being ignored and having a sales person sent to sign in instead of assisting me which she was trying to do at the time - the sales person who sent her away then finished with the female customer he was assisting and then completely ignored me to help another female customer while I was still waiting for some service. Worst location for online order pick up during the pandemic. Do NOT use this location. I drove to the store 3 time's and they still told me every time that my order was not ready, that I had to wait for a confirm to pick up email, that there were 100's of orders ahead of me and it may take more than a full business day to receive my PICK UP...not delivery...PICK UP. I wasted gas driving there 3 times and I begged a lady 10 mins before they closed to please give me my cat latter and food. She did thank goodness but if not for her I would have to wait the following day. This is a horrible system that they have in place for this location. I decided to give PetSmart a try after my friend at another location had a good experience with their grooming salon. Unfortunately, I received unprofessional and rude service. I tried to book an appointment online, but their online booking wasn't working so I called in. I told the person who was booking my appointment that my dog was a cockapoo. She asked if my dog was up to date with her rabies shot and I said yes. Then she told me to bring in proof of the vaccination. I got my puppy earlier this year, so we had her rabies shot in March. The vet signed her vaccine records and my dog had a rabies tag with the year she got it (2020) and a QR code that identifies her. I thought this would be sufficient proof. I go to my appointment with all of this and the first thing the staff told me was that I put in my dog as a toy poodle when booking the appointment and my dog was larger than that. There was no greeting of any kind. I told them there must have been an inputting error, as I had told the lady my dog was a cockapoo. No problem, they then proceeded to ask for proof of rabies. I gave them our vaccine records and they said what I brought was not what they were looking for. They asked if the vet was open, I said no, because it was 8 AM and the vet didn't open for another hour. They called anyway and unsurprisingly, the office was closed. I asked them what they needed as proof. This one worker then raised her voice at me and spoke to me in a condescending tone, telling me they needed something that identifies my dog and states when she got the vaccine. I told them about the tag, QR code and the records state the day she was vaccinated. However, they didn't take a look at the tag and again, she kept the same tone, speaking to me as if I was stupid, saying they needed an official certificate that the vet should've given me at the time of vaccination and asked if someone at home could take a picture of it for us. I told them that the vet never gave us a certificate - we got a tag and her records updated. I was never told that I needed this specific certificate - otherwise, I would have gone to my vet and asked for one (I'm not sure how common this certificate is as several of my friends go to different vets, and none of them got a certificate when they got their rabies shot). Regardless, it's totally fine that what I brought wasn't deemed acceptable for safety reasons, but the person booking me on the phone should have communicated their specific requirement. Furthermore, the way this lady spoke to me was far from professional. Mind you, the entire time I was just confused and speaking to them calmly, explaining my situation. When I said that it was fine and that I wouldn't get her groomed today, because I didn't meet their requirements, the workers all just stared at me and said nothing. I wasn't even offered to reschedule for an appointment after I obtained the necessary proof. After leaving, I called to get the name of the workers who had been rude to me. I told the person on the phone that I wanted their names as I had a bad experience this morning. I'm unsure if I was speaking to one of them on the phone, but I was told, "You don't need to know the name of the other girls, my name is Melissa and I'm the salon lead," and was hung up on. Overall, I'm disappointed by the way I was treated, the lack of customer service and the poor communication on the phone. If a specific certificate is required, this should have been communicated with me prior to my appointment. read more

The grooming service is sub-par and traumatized my dog. I went in for an appointment at 1:30pm arrived at 1:10pm and told I had to come back for 1:30pm because the groomer was on lunch. Cool. My dog and I went around the store and went back for 1:30pm. We were told we arrived second for our 1:30pm appointment, apparently two dogs can go on one appointment. That is not how appointments work in my book. Luckily for me the dog before mine, that actually did not arrive before me, might have been pregnant and was turned away. I let the groomer know that my dog was not good with nail trimming, he is actually great with haircuts (with my regular groomer) and to leave the nail clipping to last. I left but just outside the grooming rooms. I heard my dog crying from the back room, I came in and told them they cannot leave him alone as he gets separation anxiety. She said it was just for a minute and not to worry. I went out and bought some shoes. I came back and heard my dog crying in the back the same as when I left. I saw the groomer leave for 20 minutes and come back with a cone she brought off the shelf, presumably for my dog's nail clipping as she told me she might have to put him in a cone and he was her only appointment. My dog was non-stop freaking out in the back of the store. She brought my dog out to the open area and groomed him a bit, he was was not having it. She then tied him to the leg of a grooming table with a choke leash when other people came in. I honestly couldn't take it and went in there. She let me know she trimmed the nails before the cut. Beautiful, the exact opposite of my request . My dog was shaking like I have never seen him do. He didn't recognize me and constantly yelping as he was still tied to the table. The groomer left to explain services to potential customers and eventually the groomer had to put my dog in her lap to try to calm him down. I was trying to get his attention to try to help him feel safe, she told me to leave because sometimes owners being around causes this behaviour. I left but did not go far. My dog barked and yelped the entire time, she put on noise cancelling ear muffs. I did see her try to calm him down. I was dying watching all this. My dog was so stressed. Finally he is done and she tells me he is a really sweet boy and just vocal. He comes to me and tries to nip her aggressively when she pets him goodbye. They suggested I come in during the weekdays when it is less busy. I am a working professional and have no time during the weekday, but was never planning to return anyway. What an awful experience. At my usual groomers they do not use choke leashes. If the groomer attends to an incoming customer she puts the dog on the floor to roam around and chill out. My dog is never left alone. My dog can be left alone where I live, not in a strange place. My instructions were ignored, I was lied to and my dog has been vomiting all night (probably from stress). I should have known. The dogs coming in there looked terrified. One actually bit a staff hard and he had to take a walk he was so put off. Never again. Petsmart: a groomer could be handling several dogs but they shouldn't be at the cash selling services. If I book an appointment for a time, I do not expect another dog to be scheduled for the same time as another dog with the same groomer. That groomer tied my dog to a table in a choke leash when my dog was more than stressed. If I tell you to leave the nail clipping to the end, respect my wishes. She blatantly lied to me. I was watching. The manager was in and out of the grooming area and knew I was watching. You need to review your services. I spend hundreds a month on my dog enthusiastically and willingly. I live in High Park, I know pretty close to hundreds of dog owners. I have to say stay far away from Petsmart in the Stockyards. The cut was nice except a pink bit on his back where it is cut very close to the skin. It should grow back before it gets cold for a dog. read more

I decided to walk my Lab puppy Gin to the store today. Only when I entered the store I noticed that he had cut his paw and was leaving some little blood stains on the floor. I suspected he had injured himself just across the the road from Gunns Road where I had seen (unfortunately too late) some broken glass panes on the ground. The Petsmart staff were immediately very caring and helpful and offered to clean and disinfect the cut. In a separate room, two very patient staff members cleaned Gin's wounds (he had cuts on two of his paws), bandaged him and put little boots on him so we could safely walk home. The things I want to say to the grooming staff department is ENDLESS. First off I would like to mention the insane time they will leave your pets in the crates until they get their sh*t together. Another one would be when I called and asked if I can make an appointment to get my dogs nails cut. The girl on the phone said you don't need to make an appointment just come in between 12 to 6pm. So I did. I came in at 1:30pm AND then had 1 person for walk in ahead of me. WE BOTH waited like 30 minutes. Then another girl came in to also get her dogs nails cut. REMIND you I was next before her. WE both waited an hour. SO, so far I have waited with MY DOG for now an hour and a half. THEY then took the girl AFTER me in. Even the girl said how did they take me in when I was ahead of her. WE both were upset with waiting so long. I then waited 2 hours and The Lady that worked there that kept coming out kept telling me oh 10 minutes. UM excuse me it's been 2 and a half hours and you've been telling me 10 minutes SINCE I GOT HERE 2 FRIGGIN HOURS AGO. Oh it gets better, 30 minutes passes (now have waited 2 and half hours) THE GIRL THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO CUT MY DOGS NAILS GOES ON BREAK. SO NOW I AM WAITING ANOTHER 30 FRIGGIN MINUTES! SO I have been at this Shitty place for NOW 3 hours. WITH MY DOG!!! THIS SERVICE SUCKS! I just had my dog get groomed. I got the works. $150! Not worth it! My dog came back all patchy with his hair, the groomer told me it would be 3 hrs. I got him back in an hour and a half. That totally messed up my schedule and for that price I felt they were pushy with me picking him up right away when u I was told a certain time frame. I would not recommend this to anyone. I thought this location would be better but unfortunately no petsmart is good. I even had my other dog work done at the North queen location. Same issue where my dog came out looking very similar to when he went in. I swear it's a big waste of money and i I wish I could get my money back! DON'T GO TO ANY PETSMART! They have undertrained staff to work on your beloved pet and I don't think the other places charge as much so thank you for the time we had but for now I will go to the "boutique" places since they are probably cheaper and do a better job. read more

This post is reviewing the grooming department, that I've been going to for over 4 years. I would NEVER recommend this grooming place to anyone. Save the hassle and your time. They often have an overbooked schedule causing long wait times of 4+ hours for your pet to be groomed (it usually takes 1hr to groom him at other salons). With their overbooked schedule they also could not finish my pet's grooming appointment and asked me to come back to finish the grooming another day. Several times, I booked grooming appointments and it never got entered into there booking system.This happened so frequently, I began calling to confirm that the appointment had in fact been booked. The last time I went there, was the icing on the cake. Staff Melissa, invented that my dog had fleas. I had accidentally forgotten my dogs medicated shampoo at home... However I was considering using their hypoallergenic shampoo option and Melissa said no they couldn't groom him without his shampoo (very insistant on this). I told her that my dog has had grooming there without his shampoo and has used theirs before. Melissa left to go speak with her supervisor. I told the other staff member that I was going to quickly go pick up his shampoo at home while they started his grooming. The other staff was okay with this. As I arrived back Melissa told me that they couldn't proceed with the grooming because my dog had fleas! She said when she began shaving him she saw them all disperse! I asked her to show me the fleas and she showed me what she stated as flea poop--2 black dots on his eyebrow where he has whisker hair sprouting from. She didn't show me a single flea or bite and encouraged that I buy all the flea medication and spray my home. I looked for hours when I got home and days after, didn't find anything at all, no bites, no fleas. My dog wasn't scratching before or after the groomers. It seems that Melissa made this up because of the delay. They could've told me that they were no longer able to take my dog.... instead of inventing his flea problem. I've been here a few times... Generally the staff are irritable and struggling with their computer system causing delays, though some are friendly. There is no effort to sweep up hair between dogs and so the whole place feels unhygienic to me. They never finish with my dog in the stated time. read more

This location is amazing, they host events for pets and pet parents during certain holidays(i.e-Halloween & Christmas). Although these events are obvious staged P.R events where all you only really get a photo, they do give out treats for Halloween(that are close to expiration,but after all free treats are free treats) the main thing about this location is it's phenomenal staff as an example, I will point out two separate occasions in which the staff went above and beyond. The first is where I picked up a harness for my dog, the section I found it in had the wrong price, when alerted to this fact at the point of purchase they chose to honour the price for the section in which I found the harness, after checking and noticing the mistake was on their end of course. More recently was my experience today, where I went in because my dog gate had damage, and I was guaranteed it could handle bigger dogs. Without fuss the broken part was replaced. And to add context the dog gate is over a year old. read more

I was absolutely appalled on my two most recent visits to this Petsmart. On my first trip, to buy gravel and pet feed I did have a lovely conversation with a man whom worked in the fish aquarium area. He was very knowledgeable of fish, and an obvious owner, of fish, himself. When I pointed out some concerns like over crowded tanks and the odd dead fish he agreed, and insinuated it was his job, not much he could do outside of company policy, (although he did remove the deceased fish immediately) there's a high turn over on produce anyway. He was genuinely concerned and informed I hope he wasn't fired. I went again last week looking for a specific fish, ghost knife, that they had in an overcrowded tank on the previous visit, and was told they were sold out but a shipment was coming in either Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. I reserved a fish (as it was a birthday present) and was told that so long as I was in by Friday, of this week, it would be available. I again voiced concern (to a different employee) when I noticed 8 dead fish, half eaten in one tank alone. Against my better judgement I went in again today. The woman working the fish area showed great concern for the fish by tapping on their tanks and calling them, "baby". A gentleman and his daughters arrived looking for a lizard. The employee had no knowledge of the reptiles and when the father explained the tank would be in his young child's room and voiced his concern of young child rough play, although he stated she wouldn't be allowed to take it out of the tank unless the parents were around (like that'll work) the employee's response was to not worry, "it's durable" and we have a 14 day return policy on any dead animals.... I bit my tongue and my disgust at that comment until I looked into the tanks. I counted over 50 dead fish in various stages of decay. There where a few belly up barely breathing on the bottom of tanks as well. When I brought this to the employee's attention she rudely let me know that was not her job. When asked about dwarf frogs, this same employee stated they are are community fish (reading off their info plaque) so, no they don't need to live in pairs or groups. Perhaps my English is lacking, or more likely, common sense is. I found the "reserved" ghost knife, it was stuck in a plant, in a tank with fish it is known not to live well with. I was shocked to see the price that I was quoted, $14.99 -which is also their website price for this fish, had jumped to $22.99. This poor stressed out fish, had ick all over its fins and a massive hunk missing out of it's middle. Needless to say as much as I wanted to save this poor dear I did not and call the SPCA instead. Petsmart has a long history of being cruel to animals I just did not expect to see such an adamant display of all their faults in one location. To be clear I do not blame the employee's for being under trained, their managers and store owners should take a hard look in the mirror, or perhaps live in a tank for a few days themselves. I used to work for Petsmart, specifically for this location. Let me tell you, management is crap. If you see a manager for a pet store, you would think that they'd know the basic needs for the animals that are in their store. HAY IS NOT BEDDING. Petsmart does not care about their employees or their schedules. Need time off? 9/10 times they won't bother to do so. Fish die every second and fifty percent of the time, I would get customers coming back and saying that their fish died a couple days afterwards. There has been multiple times where there has been a massacre of fish due to ammonia and acidity levels being WAY too high to the point where even bottom feeders would jump out because they were practically being burnt to death. A ball python died because of its improper habitat enclosure. While employees would mention it to the management, they wouldn't allow anyone to change it. There has been bearded dragon deaths due to malnutrition and wrong lighting. Petsmart in general does not have the best dog/cat food in general. Most companies found there have by-products, corn, gluten, etc. They push us to make pet parents buy Royal Canin - which is exactly that. You do not need a breed specific food for your dogs!!! If you want good food, go to Pet Valu or Global Pet Foods and do research. Not to mention, this location is extremely understaffed. There would be one person running around everywhere just to help a crowd of people while the scheduling manager would not bother to schedule more people - despite us complaining that we need more time to open the store. Place is hidden you will miss it if your not looking for it.. I dont understand why they wouldnt have taken a street location like other stores. Staff in the store are nice and friendly and always willing to give treats to my furbabies. Some of the groomers are good. There is one or two I would avoid. Over all its ok. I found it inconvenient while shopping the training classes would go down the main isle. For future I checked when training classed and will avoid going at these times. Selection of toys food and accessories are standard. read more

Recently I was in your store & saw two youngish cats, both with the human equivalent of cerebal palsy. Information Sheet stated cats lay on their side to excrete - their human needed to wash/ wipe their bums. I personally watched as one raised itself on it's front legs, hind legs collapsed - it had a complete look of confusion as it attempted to reach the second cat. What kind of life and what kind of future can they look forward to ? I do not see this as an act of kindness. Rather you are committing them to a life of misery. Do not tell me you hold no responsibility for these animals as they are on your property with you sponsoring the event. read more

The grooming department service was terrible. The staff are not friendly at all and weren't helpful. When we walked in for our appointment, we got a "what do you want" style of greeting. They didn't want to answer questions or even acknowledge us. These aren't the types of folks Id would want to leave my dog alone with for a few hours. read more

I would highly recommend never to buy any kind of live stock here especially fish. The feeder goldfish tanks are filled with dead fish. These fish are from places from Asia that are shipped by the thousands in small containers. The tanks are filled with diseases. Staff is not educated on how to take care of there fish ( except for a few ). Fish fins are always closed which is a sign that they are sick or unhappy. Please do not support a stores like this. read more

great hours and lots of stock most of the time but often out of stock on items and the staff have no idea if you ask them questions about stock. They are understaffed often at the checkouts. Overall they have been our go to place because they have great hours and lots of parking. They are cheery and upbeat. read more

I've visited this location multiple times as I live in the area, and I will never return again! I have a two-year-old chihuahua, and I've been cutting her nails myself.. However, as I noticed with little experience I was either afraid to her hurt or did not cut her nails properly. I decided to try out Petsmart since I live and Work in the neighbour it would become convenient for me, as well as cheaper than visiting my vet. The store overall has a few highlights such as... 1) They maintain their store clean and organized. 2) The staff is rather friendly and helpful. However, they store provided many aspects in which I was not pleased with. The grooming department is TERRIBLE. My mother went in and had asked the workers about the grooming services. They provided us with a price of $12 with tax, and explained that it was a walk-in service. I work in retail and to me, a "walk-in service" is walking in WITHOUT an appointment. I returned to the location a few days later with my dog to get her nails trimmed. I was waiting for an employee to approach me and ask what services I was there for, However, instead I received NO customer service at all. The employees we're grooming other pets, and a customer in front of me had informed me that she did not make an appointment and how her dog is getting her nails trimmed at that very moment. As my turn rang up, I had told the Associate that I wanted to get my dogs nails trimmed, she insisted that "I had to make an appointment" and handed me a pamphlet. I had asked information about the grooming services and was given short and ignorant responses. I proceeded with going online to book an appointment and came to the conclusion that online indicates as well that it was a walk-in service. I immediately called the store, and had asked to speak to a manager. The girl who picked up the phone, had claimed herself as a manager. I had asked what they consider a walk-in service, and again, by working in customer service, I knew what the response was going to be. She then proceeded to retrieving information from me, such as my phone number, name and the associate who I dealt with and said that the STORE manager would contact me back. Three days went by, and no call from the manager was received. I then went back to the store and the same associate took me in. However, did not provide me with correct information, and again I returned home to retrieve my dogs Rabies paperwork, went back to the store, and finally they were able to trim my dogs nails. They insisted that i leave my dog, and go pay as they cut my dogs nails, but I did not trust those employees with my own life! never mind my dog. After they finish trimming my dogs nails, I went to pay, and as I paying, I noticed that the nails were uneven ( some were cut and others were not), I noticed that my dogs nails were rough, and not filed down. To this day I have yet to receive a call from the manager. Overall, This store needs A HUGE IMPROVEMENT. There are barely any employees at the location. The ones who are there are usually helpful. but overall, this store requires more employees whom are helpful, and reliable. However, my family, friends and co-workers will be redirected to another grooming place as this location... well is horrible. I will not return to this location as the service in other words was SHIT. read more

I went to petsmart grooming at the stockyards to get my dogs nails trimmed and at the beginning I told the lady that my dog was about 100lbs and full of energy, also that he does not like his nails trimmed so anytime I had it done before it took 3 people to handle him, one person to hold him, one person to feed him treats so he was distracted and one to clip the nails. She said no problem so I brought him in and they just had the two petite girls to handle him, they tried to get him on a table which was a bad idea. I said not to do that he will do better on the ground as he fell off the table. I told them you will need 3 people as I said before, they said no that 2 people per dog (store policy) so after they saw they couldn't handle him they for some reason put a mussel on him, I'm not sure why but that just made him more agitated. When I finally was getting frustrated with how they were handling him I told them that I would hold him that he would cooperate with me while someone gives him a treat and someone clips. They said no I can't come past the gate "store policy". They just gave up and said bring him to a vet. I grabbed him and walked out. Later went to a privately owned dog groomer and it was such a breeze. If you have a dog that is more than the weight of a chihuahua they can't handle them and they have to many "store policy's". read more
