If you need a dog walker - Michael is your man! I feel so grateful that I found his name as a searched for someone to walk my dog Lola. She was a puppy when she started with Michael - and I would say it's a draw on who she is more excited to see between me/Michael! As soon as she hear's his voice/whistle her tail starts wagging and she drops whatever she is doing to go to him. He is incredibly professional, 100% reliable and is excellent with dogs. I sometimes watch as he walks off with Lola and her dog friends and I am amazed at how calm and behaved all the dogs are with him. I strongly believe that Lola has turned out to be such a friendly, good natured dog because of the time she spends with Michael and her dog friends. In addition to the daily walks (he provides daily reports immediately after), Michael has also cared for Lola when we have been out of town. He takes such good care of her - it's so reassuring to know she is not just in good hands while we are gone, but she is having fun too! Michael has also connected us with a fantastic groomer - Stephanie. She does an amazing job with Lola (a labradoodle) and her rates are very reasonable. Stephanie is also very good with dogs, listens to what we want done (I was very worried with that first cut :) and Lola always comes back looking super cute and smelling great! I booked a last minute trip and needed to find someone to watch my dog overnight for a couple of weeks. I had never left my dog with anyone before so i was a bit apprehensive of whom i would leave her with. After a couple of days of desperately searching for someone i happened upon Good boys. Mike made me feel very comfortable, gave me a tour of where my dog would be staying and she looked like she would be in good hands with him. Mike was absolutely amazing, well exceeded my expectations. I extended my trip and changed the pick up date last minute multiple times ( which im sorry i know it must have been a headache), and he was very flexible and understanding. He would send me an update every day with pictures and videos and she looked so happy which made me feel more at ease. When i finally got home i was amazed at how much better behaved she was. Previously when i would take her for a walk she would tend to pull and drag me around and now walking her is much more enjoyable. Unfortunately, i would tend to baby her and treat her like a child so she picked up some bad habits. Mike went above and beyond and i'm so grateful. Any time i need a dog walker or a place to keep my dog overnight i know who to trust which is a huge weight off my shoulders. I run a dog training company and until recently, brought my dog with me all day to work with my clients. As my business grew, I realized I would have to leave her home a couple days a week. I was very nervous about hiring a dog walker because I heard so many horror stories from my clients about the service (or lack thereof) being offered by the majority of dog walking companies. My dog doesn't enjoy fenced in dog parks and I didn't want her in an uncontrolled environment with low supervision. Michael has got to be one of the most reliable, competent and caring individuals you could want and trust to care for your dog. When I began a search for a walker/sitter for my new Wheaton Terrier (a rescue from a couple that couldn't handle him) 2yrs ago I had lots of advice from family and friends of what a dog walker should posses... One of the top things was "make sure he or she is insured". When I met Michael I knew instantly he was the one I wanted but he lived in the city and me in the burbs of Mississauga. I was nervous about this arrangement, if he didn't show up my dog would be alone for 12hrs!! I followed my gut and hired him..... Michael has never once missed a walk or come late, he graciously accepted short notice walks on numerous occasions. In closing, my dog was aweful on the leash. Michael stuck it out and even attended Charlee's obedience training so he knows all the commands and techniques for a well behaved dog. Btw... I was searching for a dog walker and found Michael, who had the best rate for walk that I found. He has been absolutely amazing! I was very hesitant about giving my key to someone else but Michael has been great and very trustworthy. When I first contacted him he was very quick to arrange a meet and greet, which I appreciated so my dog who is very fearful and anxious could meet him. I was worried that he wouldn't allow someone else to walk him but Michael was very good with him. Chandler is always very excited for his walk and a lot of times he has a group walk which is great to help him socialize more to become less fearful. I have been having some training issues and I asked Michael for some advice and he was so quick to respond and was very helpful. I sometimes require extra walks or day walks now and then and he has always accommodated Chandler with even super short notice. Mike responded to my first email to him within twenty minutes of my sending it. Over the phone we covered all ground relating to Daisy and scheduled an introduction a couple of days later just so she would feel more at ease. He has a spacious apartment on the ground floor with a good sized backyard and a park right across the street. I was happy to see that his car has Good Boys decals on it, signifying to me that this isn't just a casual side job to him or something. It's obvious from the start that he's been at this for a long time and he earned my confidence immediately. When I got back from my three day trip, Daisy was relaxed and happy to see me. She obviously felt comfortable where she had spent her weekend and had gotten along with the other dogs there aswell. I've boarded her at four different places since I moved to Toronto and it was never as easy as with Good Boys. The daily price was literally half of what I've paid across town. This was the first time I used Good Boys and it will definitely not be the last time. I had my dog board with Mike for 4 days. We first went through a meet and greet to see how our dog would react to him and the environment, everything went very smooth and our dog even got along with Mike's dog, Mia. Mike was very professional, courteous, and genuinely loves dogs. He answered all of our questions and concerns. We have a beagle, and I saw that Mike was also taking care of other beagles, so I know that Mike has the ability to deal with their nose getting the best of them and also their occasional howling. Mike provided all of the updates that we requested and I could see that our beagle had a great time. He was sad after he left Mike's place, so I know he must have a great time. We just started having Michael come and walk our 8 month old Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. Our dog was starting to develop anxiety about getting into cars and new spaces and we have already seen a huge difference after only a few walks with Michael. Our puppy was resisting us on walks and he has completely stopped this behaviour and we credit Michael with this development. Wish it was possible to give over 5 stars. Awesome walker and boarder. Im the queen of delayed bookings yet he always seems to be able to accommodate. And my dogs in all honesty, are crazy towards other dogs but Micheal is able to get them calm and to be good with other dogs while with him. I need to take lessons from him. AND as Im a student as well, I can say he is quite reasonably priced. He's also saved me many times because Ive locked myself out more than a couple of times. It was our first time having Michael sit our English bulldog, Bentley and we would absolutely use him again. Michael was very attentive and accommodative. He took care of our dog for a week while we were away. Due to our busy schedule with our newborn, Michael was nice enough to pick up and drop off Bentley. He came off very professional and responded quickly to our text messages. He offers reasonable pricing and even sent us pictures and videos and helped us with Bentley's pulling issue. Mike has been walking our dog for a few months now. We used to only get private walks through our last dog walker because our dog has trouble with other dogs, but since Mike has started walking him he now is able to go on group walks.
