Just had a disturbing interaction with one of the drivers of this company. This woman was driving recklessly without signaling and swirving in front of cars (given that we just had a long weekend of back to back snowfall, this was even more dangerous). After my protest she threw me hand genstures and when she had the chance called me a "a stupid m... f..." Incredibly disturbing, but more so when you think this unrealiable driver is in charge of transporting beloved pets. read more

We have been using the About A Dog team for about 1.5 years now. They have been professional and timely when It comes to our usual 3 a times a week schedule. Luna loves her pack and going for walks, and the walkers take photos every day and send us the walk route via email. We have also used their boarding service, and it was hassle free with Nicky coming to pick up and drop off luna on the set dates. About a dog has been walking Sydney since a puppy. Sydney is fully socialized, no longer pulls on a leash and can't wait to go on her pack walks everyday! Their staff are amazing, knowledgeable and caring. They love each dog and it's an amazing bond they have. Sydney comes home, drinks some water and crashes. Nicky is a dog whisperer who has worked with dogs all her life and truly understands how to train them and their owners . Love this service!! read more

The whole team at About A Dog is awesome. Our Nutnut has been getting walks with them since he was a puppy. He transitioned from puppy visits to pack walks, and has even stayed with Nicky & Jess a few times when we're out of town. They treat him like family, even sending us videos while we're away to keep us updated! We love getting the GPS tracked walks emails with pictures and he has such a great time with all the other pups. I honestly don't trust him with anybody else! Nicky has been walking my Yorkie (Malcolm) since I got him in 2012. Four years later, he still loves her, and now I've added another dog to the mix... who also loves her. I honestly don't think I've ever experienced consistent, considerate service like this in all of my years. She's attentive, eager, highly competent, and very in tune with both of my dogs, who in turn LOVE her (one of them can be very shy, and Nicky is on the list of about six people who he likes). I can't recommend her highly enough. I would give her ten stars if I could. Also, I feel like I have to update my review for 2016, because About A Dog has added their new GPS tracking app! I get an email once my dogs are finished their walk, complete with a map of the route they took and even they number of times they stopped to pee... plus a cute picture of them from every walk! read more

We have been using the dog walking and pet sitting services of About a Dog for almost 6 years now. Our dog loves his dog walker and watches at the window with great anticipation. They are always very responsible and dependable. Nicky and Jess have boarded Hunter a number of times and have treated him like a member of the family. I can't give a strong enough recommendation for Nicky, Jess and the team at About a Dog. Our dog loves going on walks with About a Dog and it gives us great piece of mind that she gets attention and outdoor time while we are at work. We've also left her with Nicky and Jess when we're out of town for the weekend. One weekend Nicky noticed a problem that our vet hadn't noticed despite seeing her the same day. Nicky and Jess kept a close eye on her, and when she didn't improve the next day Nicky brought her to an emergency clinic. It turned out to be a serious medical problem and Nicky stayed with her at the clinic until we were able to make it back to Toronto. Our dog couldn't have been in better hands while we were away than she was with Nicky and Jess, and we are so grateful they were there for her when she was sick. About a Dog is more than a team of dog walkers, they are dog experts who give your dog the best possible care when you're not able to be there. read more

About A Dog and their team rescued us from a bad dog walking situation last year. They came to our house, talked about our dog's needs and assessed a good fit. On top on completely wearing out our dog, all of their walkers reinforce the training we do at home while on the walks. When our Cece comes home, she's tired, happy and content. Most of all, we trust our dog with them--and that means a lot. Cece has also stayed with them while we had a holiday in March--and to be honest, I think she was sad to be home with us after! They were a referral from my neighbourhood Facebook group after a bad experience with another dog walker. I've also used them for boarding a few times and they have been fantastic. Nicky and Jess are fantastic. I have never felt more comfortable letting my dog go out for a walk. They pick your dog up via car and take them to different destinations so your pup isn't just walking in your neighbourhood and visiting the same parks every day. My guy has an enormous amount of energy and is still tired when Nicky comes to pick him up the next day. I don't think I'd trust anyone else with him. read more

Nicky and her team at About a Dog have been walking Taylor for just over a year. They are all such wonderful people and Taylor is totally obsessed! She loves going out for her walks and is always eagerly waiting at the door. They did a wonderful job identifying when Taylor was needing a break from the gang and made accommodations to keep her happy without hesitation (she wanted to sit shot-gun!). When I get home she's happy, tired and I know that they always take wonderful care of her. They are responsive to schedule changes when needed. They recently started using an app that tracks the walks each day - and I love it! I was always a stickler about the notes/updates so I love knowing where they went and how she was on the walk! I would not recommend this company. I booked to have my dog boarded for a weekend, and the bailed on me last minute and totally screwed me. They never offered me anything to make up for the fact that they cancelled on me last minute. I decided to give them another shot, and never got a response back. I have nothing but good things to say about the services provided by Jess and Nicky. As a busy mother of two I heavily rely on their daily walks for my pup, planned and last minute boarding and occasional daycare. These two go above and beyond, with helpful advice and even occasional food drop offs from the Vegan Butcher :) They also have this amazing new app that notifies me when my pup has finished her walk, a detail of the route they took and even pictures along the way. I am continually impressed with their services and would recommend them many times over. read more
