I took my two dogs for grooming... what a zoo. It was crazy checking them in and out. People, dogs, staff crammed into tiny space. People and dogs at each entry backed up. I had an appointment, how many dogs do they take it at each appointment hour? I would have preferred a quieter time to arrive as it is hard to handle two dogs in such a circumstance. The rudest experience I have yet to encounter! I went in to get a puppy nail trim for my three months old puppy. I am barely greeted when I come in and when they knew that it was a puppy NOBODY wanted to do the trim and when they asked this worker in the back who was working on a chihuahua fur trim at the time to take the job she seemed to so unwillingly to take the job. Anyways, they take the puppy from me and they don't even sit him down to do the nail trim. AFTER ONE MINUTE, and I am not exaggerating, I get the puppy back and his claws are barely trimmed. So I ask the girl at the counter to please take him back and cut them a little shorter than that because I don't want him to scratch anyone and OUT OF NOWHERE the girl in the back who so unwillingly yells at me "well, I don't want him to bleed his first visit here." WHAT A JOKE! It the technicians should be more trained than that because you have to be able to do a puppy nail trim without "making him bleed" P.S. I also called and filled a complaint and NOBODY HAS CALLED ME BACK. read more

It was cooped up any tiny cage with about six other hamsters. In my mind I was saving this one, so I bought it. When we got home and took it out of the travel box the lil Hampster was covered in it's own diarrhea! Not knowing anything, and hoping the diarrhea would go away. I kept our hamster on a dry food diet with plenty of water. A couple days later I thought the hamster was giving birth! Unfortunately, I was wrong. The hamsters anus coming out due to excessive diarrhea! After calling my vet and doing much research on the internet... I learned if a hamster is kept in unsanitary conditions and is cooped up with to many or contaminated hamsters, in a stressful situations they can get a disease called wet tail. Please note Wet tail can pass salmonella on to you and your children! Wet tail can also be pervented from happening with over the counter meds, (Petco gives this to there hamsters in order to prevent wettail) also proper care of the animal, cleaning the cages, not over crowding them, quarantine any sick hamsters ect.... Treatment for wet tail includes antibiotics, even then it may be to late. If not treated the excessive diarrhea will cause the hamsters rectum to fall out. When my hamsters rectum fell out I called PetSmart immediately asking to speak to the store manager. I asked her if there was a chance this female hamster was around a male and maybe (hopeing) giveing birth. I explained to her that she had excessive diarrhea since the day I bought her. The manager was very rude to me. She refused to give me her name, nor her district managers information. She said if I had my receipt and it's within 2 weeks I can get my money back so I need to quit complaining. I told her I was not concerned about the money, but the health of the animal and salmonella that now could pass on to my children due to diarrhea. She told me I should have thought about that before getting my child a pet because all pets have salmonella. This is not true at all! She was full of lies and sadly didn't care about this lil animal! I hung up with her to call my vet. Unfortunately, he was busy and our hamster died a bloody and from what I could tell painful death. After my hamster passed away I called to PetSmart one more time demanding the store managers name and any info on who oversees the care of the animals in there store. I was again refused the information. They told me I can give them my name for her to call me back and that's all they will do. I stated I'd leave a review on there website and contact somebody above them. Thanks to the internet it's not hard to do. The store manager just laughed at me and said that she didn't care what review I left, because they have ways to keep their ratings high on the internet. Needless to say I'm absolutely disgusted and devastated. The saddest part is wet tail (this terrible diarrhea hamster disease) can be prevented. Petco for instance gives their hamsters preventative wet tail medications, they also keep clean cages and only a couple hamsters per a tank. I am going to keep on the higher-ups or whoever else needs to be contacted in order to make sure PetSmart takes better care of their animals. read more

Took two two of my dogs here for baths yesterday. Unfortunately, Angie was not available so Kali was assigned to bathe my pups. One dog came out clean and the other wasn't even touched. I didnt realize it until we were all three at the Vet for appointments after. Even my roommates questioned my one dog being dirtier that evening than he was that morning. I was SO embarrassed at the Vet with how dirty my one dog was. Makes me look like a bad owner. I'm not, trust me. Went to talk to manager this morning. She apologized and offered my money back. I wasn't looking for my money back but the apology from manager didnt seem geniuine. I'll never go back there again and will be looking for private groomer. If you MUST go to Petsmart, ask for Angie and never go to Kali. The manager was there both times when I dropped off and picked up both dogs. Obviously, she knew the one dog wasn't bathed. It'll be up to you to trust these folks or not. I surely don't. read more

First time I took my dogs to the groomers here my dog came back with a red and swollen eye! Took a few days for it to go down even with giving him Benadryl. Wasn't too happy about that! This time I took them in again (today) and it took them 5 hours to clean two dogs! On top of that when I picked them up, they were still damp! I paid $100 for my dogs to come back wet and for it to take 5 hours. Not sure if I will ever be going back.. read more

Moved back to the area after being gone for 18 years, Took my dog to get groomed and it all went horribly wrong. The price was quoted then changed over the phone once, then it was corrected by the time I picked him up it was $8 more because they have to use their special "petsmart flea shampoo" on him. His eye somehow got scratched and he has been so itchy and his eye has been sealed shut for 2 days. so all that happened and then again the price was MORE than quoted over the phone and his cut was horrendous I will post a picture Oh Lord my poor sweet boy. i will never ever take him back there. These people are worthless, I called them June 30th and explained to them that my friend needs to pay for the services my cat needed via the telephone with his credit card, I was told NO PROBLEM.... Well when i got there they refused that method of payment, I made a 40 mile round trip for absolutely nothing on the hottest day we've had all year, my cat was panting as i have never seen before and he has not been seen and is very ill, I will no longer shop at PETSMART either as when I called their store manager he seemed very uninterested in what i had to say. read more

We are halfway through our Beginner class with Tanya. Things are going very well and we really enjoy working with her! She owns four dogs and possesses a wealth of institutional and hands-on training knowledge. Moreover, she is understanding of our training struggles and provides helpful suggestions on how to direct our dog's behavior. I especially appreciate her reminding our classmates of our dog's allergies, which prevents them from feeding him something that could make him sick. read more

Update: So I ended up waiting the hour until my vet could be contacted. I was told that my dog was going to be finished around 11:30. It ended up taking 7 hours to groom him! That's right I could not pick him up until 3:30 in the afternoon. The staff would put me on hold when i would call to get an updated time an they would never return. My pet was fine when I took her for pedicure, she was not when I picked her up. Called manager and got no call back. Took her to Vet,. Thinks she has spine injury. I think she was dropped or squeezed to hard. ( They now hold the pet while another cuts nails). Of course they admit to nothing. I went to PetSmart to pick up a few things for some brand new kittens. Now being a first time kitten owner I wasn't sure what I needed. After spending a few minutes looking at dry kitten food and not seeing any associates I ventured out of the aisle in search of assistance. I walked around now having been in the store for 10 minutes and made it to the cashier and asked it anyone could help me in the cat food aisle. Now the cashier paged for an associate and told me someone would be there shortly. I went back to the cat food aisle and kept looking for formula. After another 5 minutes I started to get fed up and so I called the store. The sales operator answered and I asked my fairly simply questions. After learning the name of the products I needed it became a game of seek and find. (Still no actual physical associate has helped me) I located all the products I needed and made my way back to that same cashier. I told her my story and she seemed to care. She was the stores one redeeming quality on my visit. I will not be shopping at this store any more. It seems I made a mistake in going. I wasted 30 minutes of my life there. TL;DR: didn't receive any help after asking and waiting. Will not be going back. read more

Horrible place! They have sold me TWO sick Guinea pigs within 3 weeks. The first time I bought two so they could be cagemates. One of them started acting different and not moving or eating much so I returned him so he could be treated. He died 4 days later. Today we went to get a New Guinea pig so our healthy one can still have a friend. They are the only place in town that have any babies similar in size to our current. They haven't had any until today, these ones were just put out for sale 3 hours before we went in. We picked one out, they put him straight in a box and we drive home. As soon as I took him out I noticed he had a crusty looking eye. After our other guinea pig got sick I learned what to watch for. That's a sign of upper respiratory infection. So I took him right back. They seemed like they couldn't care less! Said they have goopy eye issues with their guinea pigs lately. I spoke to the manager and told her whoever is checking these animals before putting them out is not doing a good job. She was rude and didn't seem to care. We just had a pet die and then we're sold a sick one and she acted like it wasn't a big deal. I was so mad. Worst place ever. I'm going to call some other places to find a new cagemate for our lone guinea pig because petsmart sucks. read more

I have used the grooming parlor here many many times. They have always been wonderful to my dog and have done exactly what I wanted. I really feel they love animals and their work. I have also had great service when asking for help about foods from their workers. Just a great place overall. The only negative is that it is so far from where I live, but it is worth the trip. read more

My dog's ear was nicked and her hair was butchered. She looked so bad she was embarrassed of herself. Don't take your dog here. This is the second time she has been nicked. I bought a Shih Tzu puppy for my wife for Christmas 2014. We have meet Joe and he is very knowledgeable about helping us find items that are best for our new puppy. We also joined Banfield Hospital at Pets Mart. Doctor Beck is our dogs Veterinarian and our puppy absolutely Loves her. It is so funny to watch him interact with Dr. Beck she really shows her love for animals. We always ask for Dr. Beck to keep our little guy happy. We give the whole store a Five Star rating.
