The groomer took my two little dogs, Ollie and Annie, as walk in's and did a GREAT JOB cutting and filing their nails. Ollie is usually a total pain with nail clipping - screeching, squirming, etc. This time he was a little prince. I guess he really liked this place and how he was treated with such care. Under new management. 2nd time we used them since new management. Our ECGR came home shaking his head violently while running around crying. He was very agitated and while shaking his head I saw something fly out of his ear. A dirty cotton ball! My boy hour later was still crying and running around upset. I put a finger in his other ear and found another dirty cotton ball. They've also installed a curtain so you can't see what is going on with the groomers. If the dirty cotton had stayed there he'd very likely have developed an infection. Plus they removed most of his tail fur is GONE! I asked for a tidy-up and explained what I wanted. He's got almost a shave down ! Most of the feathers on his tail are totally gone. Won't go back. The person I talked with assured me she "got it" and understood my instructions. Obviously not. They hurt my boy and ruined his gorgeous tail. Don't bother! They don't know what they're doing. read more

The reviews here made it seem like there are experienced groomers with professionalism in their industry. Unfortunately upon our experience with them was much less of a caliber than expected. First, it took 3 phone calls to get a hold of anyone here, the phone line voicemail states they are understaffed and don't have a receptionist. Seems like a big flaw in their system to not prioritize being reachable if you have pets here. The 3 staff members here are all young girls that are incompetent to handle the dogs. Their handling is equivalent to watching a child afraid of dogs be forced to move a dog. They were timid and don't take initiative to communicate with each other, it's quite awkward and it's obvious there is a lack of teaming & proper management. The pricing for their services are fair, but they do bait and switch the fees on arrival or after the services are complete. Hopefully the owners will get more involved with their decline of service and hire more qualified groomers. If anyone asks about this place, I'd give honest feedback about this place being a joke not worth the chance of business. read more

I took Atticus in for a bath and de-shed, and Scout for a nail trim and wasn't disappointed! Atticus is a shepsky and sheds A LOT and after awhile starts to smell like an old hound dog. The ladies at Silverdale Pet Grooming did a wonderful job with the de-shed, and were really sweet with Scout the chihuahua with her nail trim. Scout is a nervous dog (being a chihuahua and all) but was calm and let them trim her nails and dew claws. I will definitely be taking both my babies back to Silverdale Pet Grooming. read more

We have a almost 6 month Bernedoodle who is just the sweetest. We took him in for his first haircut. The haircut was good however the groomer pointed out his eyes at the end of his appointment when we went to pick him up.His eyes were bloodshot and it continued to get worse throughout the day. They did mention it could be stress.A couple of hours later, I called and spoke with Robin the manager and they said his eyes were already like that when he came In. I do check my puppies eyes on a regular basis and they were definitely not like that before we brought him in. We are at the vet currently getting him checked out. They vet tech was surprised how bloodshot his eyes were. And the vet said it could been one of two things that there was blunt force trauma or that our pup was choked while he was at the groomer. The vet told us that they usually put on the harness tight enough to restrain the dog. Our puppy is so loving and not malicious or aggressive in any way. I love the haircut that they gave however now having to be at the vet late at night to get him checked out because of what happened, he will never be going back to this place again. read more

I called them 10 mins before they opened on a Sunday, just hoping they would have an available opening for our new 1 y/o male king-haired GSD rescue dog. I explained that we rescued him the night before and he was looking pretty horrible. They were able to squeeze him in at 930am and said it would take an hour or so. He was worse off than expected and they spent about 2.5 hours working on Eazy. Whenever I went in to get him, no one seemed upset that he took the extra time and attention, they were very professional and friendly from start to finish. In a nutshell: I took our 1-year Goldendoodle Jack to be groomed at Silverdale Grooming on Wednesday. $138+$25 tip. They didn't place him with his usual groomer, and the strange groomer ended up razor-burning him. Said Jack moved. Today I took our 1-year Goldendoodle Angus for his appt at 9 AM, and knocked at the locked door at 8:55 to let them know we were there. I could see a few employees at the back folding towels and chatting. I was ignored. I waited an additional minute or so and knocked louder on the door, thinking that perhaps the laundry was going and they didn't hear me. Some guy slowly headed my way and, not making eye contact, unlocked the door. "We open at 9:00." "Yes, I'm your 9:00 appointment." "It's 3 minutes before 9." With that he locked the door, walked away, leaving Angus and me standing outside with a look of astonishment on my face. At precisely 9:00 he unlocked the door. I asked his name and learned that he had purchased the salon 2 weeks ago. Drunk with power. With the number, type, and frequency of the pets we have groomed at that place, that man just lost about $4,000 worth of business per year. read more

Just not right...the cut was fine but not the price. This was our 2nd visit and they charged $70 more than the first time for the same dog, same hair cut, same services????? OVER $210 BEFORE A TIP!!! There was no communication when we dropped of that prices had been increased and it had only been eight weeks since our last appointment. I don't mind paying a extra for extra services but there were none...this was over the top. Their explanation was that my dog had grown to the height of an extra large instead of a large (he is 6 years old and is no longer growing). It's a shame because otherwise it was a fine cut. Don't worry we were gracious and still tipped his groomer, however, we will not be going back and WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! read more

Hands down the worst grooming experience I have ever had. They don't warn you when they shave your dog. They should give you a call and let you know what your options are (if any). I took my dog and they shaved him without a call. $170 later he's home smelling like a wet dog and with small cuts on his body from them grooming him. I will NEVER take my pets there again . My 2 doodles have been going here for around two years. They always do an amazing job and my dogs come out looking fresh and well trimmed. I am pretty particular about the way I like them cut and Silverdale pet grooming always follows my instructions and calls me with any questions. We maintain standing appointments to keep the doodles looking cute. I was sad that they had to close during COVID And so very happy when they called me to say they could take appointments. Also went in person and they literally just took down my number and said they would call me to set up an appointment. Never got a call. This is the worst service, which is a shame because they do good grooming. The problem is their customer service. The first time staff were so friendly and excited to see her showing me how much they loved dogs and knowing she was in good hands. Updating my review from 5 stars to 4 because we've found some spots on our dog where it looks like he was nicked by the clippers. We can't think of any other way he would have gotten this small of a scratch on his back otherwise. We've had our 12 lb wire haired terrier groomed twice and both times were wonderful experiences. Our 8 year old dog tends to be snippy and timid, but she's come out both times happy and content. Every time we take our 4 different breed dogs(Chiweenie, male Boxer, male Husky, mini Golden-Doodle), Renee and the other staff at Silverdale Pet Grooming know exactly what needs to be done with each, and always do an excellent job. When we take all 4 at the same time, they get the Husky first and put him in the dry box, since he is definitely not a fan of a blow dryer, unlike the others. Everyone knows how to take care of our dogs, and knows them by name and what they like/don't like.
