Stopped in for litter and filters for my mom's specific kind of litter box. They run a deal like buy 3 get 3 free or something like that. Plus there's an instant coupon them that you can use on top of the deal. Stock was pretty picked over for some items. The cat snack options are kind of hit or miss. They did have some really pretty betta fish. Once we got to the check there was a bit of a line due there only being one cashier. Once we got to the counter to checkout my mom ask to confirm that the deal matched the sign and that the cashier applied the instant coupons despite her not taking them off the products. Once she got the receipt and looked it over the coupons had not been applied so we had to get back in line and wait again and the cashier acted so confused about fixing the issue. Ended up just returning everything and redoing the transaction after trying to explain it (& holding up the line) for several minutes. That was a bit of a mess. read more

I enjoy this Petsmart location, it's well lit, easy to figure out the layout of where things are, and out of all the times I've visited the shelves have always been filled with the things I need. The floors have a bit of wear and tear which is no biggie just shows that lots of love and care with animals have been going on here I'd like to think haha and if you do need help there, it tends to be a common thing at majority of Petsmarts ive been to as there is no staff in sight or they look like they do not want to be bothered aside from the cashiers, who are visible and can be very helpful, just from observation and experience. I will say Nicole hands down is one of my favorite cashiers! I didn't realize this until recently going to visit and Nicole wasn't there on a few recent occasions. 1 cashier was very anxious yet helpful but made me feel a bit anxious about my cats new prescription and getting the right bag etc it was confusing and looking bag not needed, as it was holding up the line and a bit dramatic to say the least, as I had the right food all along phew and then another time the cashier was nice but just wasn't Nicole. Nicole has always been very helpful, kind, hilarious, and now I look for Nicole when entering that Petsmart. As I've noticed how grateful and happy I am when I see Nicole and when I leave, even more now as I've always had a wonderful experience there filled with laughter and joy when I come and go outta this Petsmart location when working with Nicole. Such an experience! Brought my 45pound golden doodle here for a groom as she was quite matted. She was expected to be there for 4 hours and ended up being there for around 6. I was ready to have to pay even more than I planned because of this but instead they DISCOUNTED the price. Who does that?!?! And she's ADORABLE!!! the way that they left my dog is completely unacceptable. what they did to him was not worth $170. they didn't even give him a bath. i know this because he smells WORSE than what he did when i dropped him off and mind you i brought him in clean and smelling good, so i know he didn't get a proper bath at least after the haircut. also his teeth weren't brushed.mind you i got charged for this caca. and they left the poor animal in so much discomfort. i had to give him PROPER bath the next day. and when i had dropped him off that day they had said it was going to be 4 hours. it was only 1 1/2 hours. they should've just taken the full 4 to make sure that this wouldn't happen. not only that, but when i went to pick him up they had also said that he was aggressive when they tried to get him out of the kennel. hell i'd be aggressive with the person who did that to me too. mind you my dog has NEVER and i mean NEVER been aggressive with the people at this place until this. and he's not an aggressive dog. so i know they did something to bring that type of behavior out of him. lesson learned though, im going to start taking him somewhere where i'd probably end up paying double, but having my dog come out smelling GOOD and with no new rashes that i later on have to help in healing and spend MORE money to help said healing process. don't bring your pet here if you care about them. because clearly if the job is too hard they are just gonna take easy ways out and pull some bs out there butts to cover their laziness. read more

If you're looking to adopt a cat at this location, just don't, as I am typing this with a heavy heart. I've adopted 2 cats from this location at different times. When I adopted Loki he was 9 months old. He was "healthy" but sounded like he had a horrible upper respiratory infection (which he did) hacking up his lungs every 3 seconds. Brought him to the vet, got him healthy, fast forward a few months. Loki passed away a few months ago at the age of 1.5 years old. I got another kitten in September 2022, her name is Tito and she was 3 months old. I had her up until yesterday March 14, 2023. Tito passed away yesterday at 9 months old. Both of my babies passed away due to FIP: Feline Infectious Peritonitis. I was able to catch Tito's disease in time to at-least help her with steroids so she wasn't suffering, she had the dry form and Loki had the wet form. I understand it's a difficult thing to find and diagnose, however, there are tests to see if they have it. I paid over $500 just in adoption fees for these two for them to die because of a disease they got from their mothers when they were birthed. I had no problem paying the adoption fee, but I was expecting healthy companions for more than a year, and I didn't even get that with either of them. Please use some of the money from adoption fees to test your cats for this. I will never adopt a cat from a petsmart again because of how traumatizing these poor cats' deaths were. Ever watch a 9 month old kitty meow out for help while having a horrendous seizure that her body isn't strong enough for? You don't want to, it will break every ounce of strength in your body especially when that's your baby. I've added some pictures of my babies for attention, may they rest in peace. read more

PetSmart PetSmart PetSmart. Yeah as someone else said it's your standard PetSmart but the standard is pretty good in my opinion. They usually have cutie cute little kittens which I always make a point to visit. Mainly we shop here because our one cat is 18 pounds and has to get prescription weight management food (which hasn't actually worked btw but I obey vet orders) and PetSmart sells it. It's nice they seem to have Banfield at many of the locations because then we can renew the Rx card and grab cat stuff while they're at their vet appts. Anyway I decided to review this place finally because their standing covid floor dots (six feet apart circles) have a funny way of measuring. Went to get my small dog groomed, had an appointment set up for 11:30 - apparently they only allow one person with their dog in the reception area at a time. That's fine its a small area I understand - but I had to wait quite a bit to get my dog in for a scheduled appointment. They guy behind me was worried about being late for work as he also had an appointment and was waiting to be let in. On pick up they had me come in when another customer and dog were in the reception area, I went to pick up my dog and remove the leash they had on him. They got a bit rude with me saying that I had to pick him up before taking the leash off - I have no problem following that rule. It's that the girl who told me talked to me extremely slowly and with an attitude, acting like I was an idiot. Will not be going back to this location read more

It's so hard to find a groomer that knows what they are doing. I used to have the best groomers, but since I moved to MN and ND area, no groomers can give my dog a clean cut. I get choppy and uneven cuts every time. So frustrating. Is this worth $50 to anyone else? Grooming usually takes 3-4 hours too, but I got a call back in under 2 hours. Are they too busy or just don't care? I gave 2 stars because the employees on the floor were very friendly, but the service itself was only worth 1 star. read more

I initially walked into PetSmart for a new filter for my cat water fountain. I walked around the store and found the cat center holding two cats. When I got a closer look, the cats looked skinny, unfed, and miserable. After seeing the condition of one of the cats, I immediately adopted that day. I paid $230 for the cat. When I got her to my home, her nails were unclipped and were so long that they were getting stuck in the blankets when making biscuits. The toes had so much dirt underneath them all. Secondly, her bottom had dry poop all over her rear. She is beyond skinny where I can feel her ribs. Her eyes are watering, consistently coughing/sneezing, and shaking. She has an odor. She is going to the vet next Monday, paying another $70 out of pocket, to do a full check up for her health because this PetSmart barely did the bare minimum for her health! If you are going to charge $230 (which I didn't mind paying) then at least groom her and give her the best possible conditions! Ashamed to have even purchased an item from here! Terrible. Pretty standard Petsmart location. The reason for the downgrade is strictly for the customers at this location who seem to have no respect for anyone else. During a short trip in to grab some cat food I was almost run down by a shopping cart, had to play dodge to get around people standing oblivious in the aisles and also try to get around people with carts parked diagonally blocking half the aisle while the cart user is blocking the other half. The cream of the customer crop would be the owner of a very large breed dog who didn't feel they needed to pick up the multiple lumps of dog feces outside the front door of the store. I know the employees will probably end up cleaning it up but the owner should have their nose rubbed in it. As I said, the location is pretty much standard Petsmart. The customer base however will keep me away from this location. read more

We shop at Petsmart for all of our cats' food, Blue Buffalo Grain Free Dry Food and Blue and World's Best Forest Scent Litter. I am thankful we can provide our cats with products that are healthy for them and best for our environment. Their store is always clean and products are easy to find. I really like their card that gives us a discount every time we shop there, and, if I do a survey, I receive an extra $3.00 off my total purchase. The associates are friendly, courteous and helpful, if we ever need anything. They are also knowledgeable is you should ever have any questions about their products. We used to have aquariums, and every time we went there, we would need information regarding fish or fish accessories. They always had the answers to our questions. Often times, they would give us special prices on their fish. Sure helped with the budget. Their prices are comparable to other pet stores, but some are a bit more spendy. We want the best, though, so we are willing to pay them. I like seeing the dogs people bring in with them, even though I am a cat fancier. I think it is wonderful they have this, friendly, policy. It's also kind of fun watching their obedience training. We have never used their Banning vet services, but I understand they have reasonable prices and a monthly customer plan. read more

RICHFIELD, MN PETSMART we have always brought our dogs to the Richfield location for the past 14'years. Today was the worse experience we have ever had. We always respected the fact they need a minimum of 3 hours for grooming appointments and I always ask to be called as soon as they are ready. Today's experience was unlike any we have had in the past. We waited four hours and no one called. I called to check on our Pete and we were told they forgot to call and no one was really sure where he was or why he was forgotten. When we arrived we talked to a manager who told me "well we are busy today and we didn't have time" really I said? How would you feel being left and forgotten in a kennel for Four hours? My question then why can't your employees ask for help when they get "slammed?" Which is what the groomer told me was the excuse. This may seem ridiculous but to me and my pet if felt like we did not matter or like the bus driver who forget your kid on the bus. Today was so disappointing since we have supported Petsmart since they opened their doors. We will never return to a place where management tells customers basically "too bad." read more

Pretty standard warehouse style pet store, but it gets the job done. The employees can be really helpful (you can tell they are here because they love animals), but just given the big size of the store it can be hard to find one. My boyfriend and I got a small aquarium for before we were ready to adopt kittens and we got all sorts of guidance about what fish need to school and which ones play nice together, etc. We consistently got honest advice about care and maintenance too. I appreciate when you can believe an employee about when you need branded this and that and when it's ok to go generic. They really aren't pushy, they just want your animals to be happy. Another sell point for Petsmart for us was a 14 day return policy on fish (ie if you shake the bag too much on the way home and Nemo is belly up in the morning you can bring him back for Nemo 2.0 free of charge - within two weeks, that is). This was a life saver when we were cycling our tank. They have a discount program called "Pet Perks" which truly doesn't save you much money. Eight cents per can of cat food, maybe. But you should sign up for it anyway because it surely adds up over time, especially on essentials. Also, they won't price match Amazon if you happen to be a savvy shopper and are buying a higher ticket item. It surprises me that in this age a store would rather walk a sale than forgo some margin. read more

I went in to buy a fish for my turtles tank. I didn't know much about how well they get along with turtles so I asked a staff for helped. As soon as I asked she was quick to say "None and if you buy it I won't give you any protection Incase if it dies or something happens" for me it sounded very rude, I know she can't be telling customers that she won't give them protection for something their going to buy just because of what they might do wit it. The other lady helped me and was nicer, however you need to be following them just to get someone to help you. read more

I had been taking my Shih-Poo to the grooming salon but never again. Recently took him to have bath, trim, and nails done. I first took him on a weekend and was told salon was too busy for him and return the next evening when not so busy, I did. I discussed with groomer that I didn't want his typical summer cut but to trim and even stated blade # I wanted for his winter coat. When I returned 2.5 hours later my dig was tied to the bottom of the grooming stand quaking and whining. He had been cut as I do during the summer and I had to wait additional half and hour for her to finish. At the she stated how difficult he had been and next time don't come at such a busy time. She has put a blue hair bow on his ear and was charged premium service prices. Never again finding a new groomer! read more

I called the grooming department asking, a few times throughout the conversation, if they were able to trim my cat's fur. The associate seemed really distracted and almost annoyed that I was asking so many questions and referred me to the website more than once even when I had told her that I had been trying the website for the past week and kept receiving an error message. This should have been a warning sign. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that they don't trim, only shave down to one length. This was extremely frustrating as I had clearly asked this. All the workers seemed annoyed and put off except Jessica who walked out of the backroom soaked with water from giving a bath smiling at me and another customer who was waiting. When it was time to pick my cat up, the worker sitting behind the desk barely looked up from a sign she was writing with a marker to answer my questions. It felt as if everyone (aside from Jessica) was annoyed that they were being asked to work and the level of customer service experienced both over the phone and in person was abysmal. Quite the opposite from what I've experience while shopping in the store. While it can sometimes be difficult to find someone to help with questions, every associate I've ever spoken with has been extremely helpful. I'll probably continue shopping at the store, but will never use their grooming department again. read more

Let me start by saying I only purchased fish, so I have no experience in any other area of the store. That being said, I had the greatest experience with the associate. She was knowledgeable about the fish they had in stock, advised me on plants for the tank and directed me past the much more expensive all-inclusive water testing kit for only the ammonia testing kit- which as I read more was confirmed to be the most common water issue. I scheduled my cat to get fixed and I got jerked around. They scheduled his appt as tentative so they didn't call to confirm his appt. I showed up after calling 7983665 for an hour only to be told we have to call the 800 number because pushing 7 on the regular Petsmart line really doesnt transfer you to them. Sunday October 10th, around 10:30 am. I was in the grooming salon booking a nail trim for my dog. It was busy, it was loud. And I understand that. In the last grooming station on the right hand side, I witnessed a young groomer with short black hair and glasses. Speak to the animal that she was grooming in loud berating tone. "STOP" "QUIT" "REALLY". The dog was anxious and moving about. I saw her shove the dog twice. I also witnessed her grab the dog and pull his hair out. Her action made the animal yelp. The other groomers all turned and looked and chose to do nothing. To help the groomer or the pet. I canceled my appointment, left reported the situation to the store manager. And also to the Manager of Banfield. I will follow this email with a letter to the Better Business Bureau. The women I spoke with at the pet hospital exact words to me were" Oh we know who she is". If that is the case and she has mistreated animals in front of staff or clients in the past. This needs to be addressed. Clearly, I will never shop or have a pet groomed with you ever again. If this women is comfortable enough to mistreat a pet in front of coworkers and clients. What does she do when people are not looking? I find this behavior completely unacceptable. read more

I was deeply disappointed in my grooming appointment for my fur kid. I have used this location for years but WILL NOT EVER AGAIN! First when I was dropping my dog off for his appointment at 5:00PM to be trimmed, nails done and groomed the associate said it would be about 2 to three hours. ( long time for any dog but ok) she said my dog was her next one, I came back at 7:40. figuring he should be close to being done and I had some additional items to purchase there anyway i would wait. Went back to the grooming area and did not see my dog. Ok he is done right, WRONG!!!!!! they had just given him a bath that is all, the groomer said it would be at least another hour to get to him. by the way they close at 9:00pm. so in other words come back before closing. No way. removed my dog then and there. The floors were FULL of hair from numerous dogs and there were dogs leashed in that area sitting on hair. ( what happened to cleaning up after each dog?? this is not very environmentally safe for our pets) and to top it off my cost to give my dog a bath a whopping 38.99!!! so I took my drenched dog home!!!
